As Leticia and Delfina made their way through the crowd, Amelia intercepted them, a smug smile on her face.
"And where do you two think you're going?" she asked, her voice dripping with condescension.
Delfina raised an eyebrow, unimpressed by Amelia's attitude.
"We're going to get some food," she replied calmly.
"Would you like to join us?"
Amelia scoffed.
"No, thank you. I have better things to do than eat with the help."
Leticia's eyes flashed with anger at Amelia's insulting tone, but she kept her cool.
"Then we'll leave you to your 'better things'," she said coldly, turning to leave with Delfina.
Amelia watched them go, her jealousy growing by the second. She couldn't understand why everyone seemed to prefer Leticia's company over hers. Determined to prove herself superior, she turned back to the crowd of admirers and threw herself into the festivities with renewed vigor.
In the private room Leticia held out her box gift which Delfina happily took and opened it with she saw inside is a spell book and a wand.
Delfina's eyes widened with excitement as she pulled out the spell book and wand from the box.
"Leticia, this is amazing!" she exclaimed, flipping through the pages of the ancientlooking tome.
"How did you even find this?"
Leticia smiled mysteriously.
"A girl has her secrets," she said with a wink.
Delfina hugged her tightly, grateful for her best friend's thoughtfulness.
"You always know just what to get me," she said, holding up the wand admiringly.
Just then, Taylor burst into the room, her face flushed and her eyes sparkling with excitement.
"You guys won't believe what just happened!" she said breathlessly.
"I think I just found my soulmate!"
Delfina and Leticia exchanged amused glances. Taylor was known for her impulsive crushes and dramatic declarations of love.
"Do tell," Delfina said, settling back in her seat with a grin.
Taylor launched into a detailed account of meeting a handsome stranger who shared her passion for martial arts. As she spoke, Leticia found herself drifting off, her thoughts wandering to Leonardo and their secret engagement.
"But she is a woman!" Taylor said.
Leticia snapped back to attention, her curiosity piqued by Taylor's revelation.
"A woman?" she echoed, raising an eyebrow.
Taylor nodded eagerly, her cheeks flushed with excitement.
"Yes! Her name is Sophia, and she's absolutely stunning. We just clicked instantly it was like we've known each other for lifetimes."
Delfina looked skeptical, but Leticia could see the genuine happiness in Taylor's eyes. She knew all too well the feeling of finding someone who understood and accepted you completely.
"That's wonderful, Taylor," Leticia said sincerely.
"I'm happy for you."
Taylor beamed at her best friend's support.
"Thanks, Letty. I knew you'd understand."
Just then, a servant entered the room with a tray of drinks. As he set them down on the table, Leticia noticed a small envelope tucked beneath the tray. She picked it up discreetly, recognizing Leonardo's handwriting on the front.
Leticia's heart raced as she slipped the envelope into her palm, careful not to draw attention to it. She waited until Taylor and Delfina were engrossed in their conversations before excusing herself to the bathroom.
Once inside, she locked the door and leaned against it, her breath catching in her throat as she tore open the envelope with trembling hands. Inside was a single sheet of paper, bearing a message written in Leonardo's elegant script:
"My love,
Meet me in the garden at midnight. Come alone.
Forever yours,
Leonardo"
Leticia's pulse quickened at the thought of sneaking out to meet her forbidden lover. She knew it was risky, but she couldn't resist the chance to be alone with him, even for a moment.
She glanced at the clock on the wall it was already 11:30 pm. Hurriedly, she freshened up and made her way back to the party, slipping unnoticed through the crowded ballroom.
As she stepped out into the cool night air, Leticia took a deep breath, steeling herself for what lay ahead.
"Thank you for this gift Leticia," Delfina said. The wizard wand is those who use magic can use. The reason why Delfina had a hard time was because within the noble families have a wands that are family heirloom but because the Cadrian Household wand disappeared it meant that it was harder. So this gift wasn't just for Delfina, but her entire family. This was worth it pulling the connections and favors that people owe her. The wand that Leticia gifted Delfina was used by the first ever magic user in their family over 10,000 years ago. This gift Madam Fiona and Master Logan won't be treated poorly this gift is what she can give them.
Leticia stood up and checked the time it seems like Leonardo is waiting for her. She walked outside and she looked around.
"Who is she seeing? Leticia is so aloof and indifferent who can make her smile so warmly?" Delfina whined as she tried to get answers from Leticia but got nothing.
Leonardo was leaning against the wall while he talked to his three best friends as he nodded his head. Leticia wish she said hehe it seems like this Amelia is a two face bitch. But she handled herself quite nicely although Leonardo dislike the idea of Leticia name being in the conversation he did bother with it.
"Leo I still have sweets left," Leticia said as she stepped forward wearing her mask. Leonardo looked at Leticia.
"I am glad that you need much sweets, but do you mind if I hold your hand?" Leonardo asked as Leticia frowned not wanting to give her hand out but Leonardo took it what is he doing?
She was garbed in purple and was exceptionally beautiful, with an elegant and exquisite charm to her. Her fine, dark blue hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, reaching her willowy waist. This was coupled with a set of captivating eyes that shone brightly. Her snowwhite skin gave off a crystallike sheen. She was eyecatching, the very embodiment of perfection.
Even though her hands were clad in thin, silk gloves, one could faintly make out her slender, jadelike fingers. If she ever removed those gloves, there would be people drooling at the sight of her ephemeral beauty.
When her fingers touched the cool air Leticia slightly frowned what is he planning?
"Leonardo!" Leticia said using his full name.
"Hold on Letty," Leonardo muttered.
"I just wish to give you something," Leonardo said as he held her beautiful hand in his palm. Leonardo pulled out a pair of gloves they were light pinkish reddish color but they had his middle name her name RF.
"Aren't these pairs much more beautiful?" Leonardo asked as he grinned wanting to praise for the gift he got Leticia.
