Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 {Apology}

Leticia stared at the gloves in Leonardo's hand, her eyes widening slightly. The delicate pinkishred fabric was adorned with intricate embroidery that spelled out "RF" their initials intertwined. It was a thoughtful and romantic gesture, one that made Leticia's heart flutter despite her best efforts to remain indifferent.

She hesitated for a moment, torn between her desire to accept the gift and her reluctance to show any sign of weakness or affection. But as she looked into Leonardo's eager, hopeful eyes, she found herself caving.

"Fine," she said finally, holding out her hand.

"Give them to me."

Leticia put on the new gloves and held her hand out as she stared at the well designed gloved. Leonardo didn't do anything just watched a Leticia expressions.

"Are they your friends from different planets?" Leticia asked.

"Yes, they are they will be here from now, want me to introduce you?" Leonardo asked.

"Mmm sure," Leticia said gently.

Leonardo grinned, pleased by Leticia's willingness to meet his friends. He turned to the group of men and waved them over.

"Guys, come here for a moment," he called out.

The three men exchanged curious glances before making their way towards Leticia and Leonardo. As they approached, Leticia took a closer look at each one.

The first man was tall and muscular, with short black hair and piercing blue eyes. He wore an expression of easygoing confidence that suggested he was the leader of the group.

Next to him stood a slender man with dark pink skin and curly black hair. His eyes were a warm brown, and he wore a friendly smile that put Leticia instantly at ease.

Finally, there was a man with striking red hair and green eyes. He had an air of quiet intensity about him, his gaze sharp as he assessed Leticia from head to toe.

"This is Thorne."

Leonardo gestured to the tall, muscular man with black hair.

"He's from the planet Zephyria."

Next, he indicated the slender man with pink skin and curly hair.

"And this is Kael, from the planet Coralina."

Finally, he pointed to the redhaired man with green eyes.

"And that's Riven, from the planet Emberia."

Leticia nodded politely at each introduction, her expression remaining neutral despite her curiosity about these alien visitors.

"It's a pleasure to meet you all," she said calmly.

Thorne stepped forward, his blue eyes sparkling with interest as he looked Leticia up and down.

"And you must be Leticia," he said smoothly.

"The girl who's captured our dear Leonardo's heart."

Kael chuckled softly beside him.

"Don't mind Thorne, but his not wrong countless of woman have given love letter always said someone would be jealous," Kael said. Leticia chuckled and she notice that Leticia notice that Amelia was nowhere to be find. Whatever she did not have time to babysit.

"I need to go nice to meet you welcome to Zyreni Planet Empire," Leticia said gently.

As Leticia turned to leave, Leonardo reached out and gently caught her hand, stopping her.

"Wait," he said softly.

"I'll walk you back."

Leticia hesitated for a moment before nodding. She didn't want to make a scene in front of Leonardo's friends, so she allowed him to escort her back inside.

As they walked, Thorne called out after them.

"Don't keep us waiting too long, Leo! We have much to discuss."

Leonardo waved his hand dismissively over his shoulder.

"Go ahead and start without me. I'll be there soon."

Once inside the ballroom, Leticia pulled her hand from Leonardo's grasp and put some distance between them. Leticia looked at the gloves they cover the nail marks.

"Leticia let me know when you are short on sweets," Leonardo said as he walked back inside. Leticia laughed lightly. Leonardo sighed Leticia looked at Leticia beautiful long dark navy blue hair.

"My lady! Lady Amelia has returned home."

Leticia frowned she touched her chin. That arrogant girl would only want to course trouble this is so annoying.

Amelia stormed into the mansion, her heels clicking angrily against the marble floor. She had left the masquerade party early, unable to tolerate Leticia's perfection any longer. As she entered the foyer, she spotted Morgan sitting in the living room, sipping a glass of wine.

"Mother," Amelia greeted sharply, not bothering with pleasantries.

Morgan looked up from her glass, raising an eyebrow at her daughter's flushed and irritated appearance.

"What's wrong, dear?" she asked calmly.

Amelia threw herself onto the couch beside Morgan, crossing her arms over her chest.

"It's Leticia," she spat.

"She's always stealing the show, always being the center of attention. It's infuriating!"

Morgan sighed and set her wine glass down on the coffee table.

"Amelia," she said patiently.

"You know that Leticia has certain... advantages that you don't.

"Waaa she didn't introduce me to anyone," Amelia said. Morgan was so angry.

"What the hell!? She is just a fake!" Jason said how dare Leticia not help Amelia out.

"Big brother; big sister I don't understand why she is so mean to me," Amelia said as she cried.

Jason's face darkened with anger as he listened to Amelia's complaints. He couldn't believe the audacity of Leticia, treating his precious sister like she was nothing.

"That's it," he growled, standing up abruptly.

"I've had enough of Leticia's arrogance. She thinks she can just ignore our family, treat us like we're beneath her?"

Morgan reached out and placed a hand on Jason's arm, trying to calm him down.

"Jason, think about what you're saying," she warned.

"You know how important it is for us to maintain our image. We can't afford any scandals right now."

Jason shook off her hand and began pacing the room, his mind racing with thoughts of revenge.

"I don't care about our image," he snapped.

"I care about my sister's feelings."

Leticia walked inside the first thing she felt was a slap from her mother than from her brother. Amelia saw this and she was smug she coughed and played the innocent sister.

Leticia stood there, stunned by the sudden assault. She touched her cheek, feeling the sting of the slap. Looking up, she met Morgan's cold gaze and Jason's furious one.

"What is the meaning of this?" Leticia asked calmly, despite the anger simmering beneath the surface.

Morgan stepped forward, her eyes flashing with contempt.

"You dare to ignore my daughter at the masquerade?" she hissed.

"After everything I've done for you, this is how you repay me?"

Leticia's lips curled into a smirk.

"I wasn't aware that I owed Amelia anything," she replied coolly.

"She's a grown woman. If she can't handle herself at a simple party, that's not my problem."

Jason's fists clenched at his sides, his face red with rage.

"You ungrateful little"

He was cut off by Morgan's sharp glare. She turned back to Leticia, her expression calculating.

"Listen carefully, Leticia," she said slowly.

"You will apologize to Amelia and make it up to her. Or else..."

"What do you want me to do? Kneel?" Leticia asked as she sat down and crossed her legs.

Morgan's eyes narrowed at Leticia's defiant attitude. She was used to people cowering before her, not sitting calmly and crossing their legs.

"You will do as I say," Morgan hissed, her voice dripping with venom.

"If you don't, I'll make sure you regret it."

Leticia merely shrugged, unimpressed by Morgan's threats.

"You've been threatening me since I arrived," she said dismissively.

"What else is new?"

Jason stepped forward, his face contorted with anger.

"You think you're so high and mighty, don't you?" he snarled.

"But we both know the truth. You're nothing without us."

Leticia stood up slowly, her movements graceful and deliberate. She walked over to Jason until she was standing directly in front of him, her eyes locked onto his.

"Mother, brother, sisters, we all know that you need me. After all you want me to play the role as Amelia to marry the ninth prince before I get my own name," Leticia said indifferently.
