Chapter 26 - Chapter 26 {Suffer}

Leticia woke up early in the morning Tun Tun was playing around with her hair. Leticia slowly opened her eyes and groaned tomorrow is the day of the engagement she frowned slightly as she pressed her hands together and she whispered to Tun Tun who nodded his head and held a gourd out for Leticia who loves fancy liquor.

Luna rushed over the engagement dress that Leonardo chose has arrived. It was truly matched Legicia beautifully her true her eyes.

Leticia slowly got out of bed, her movements graceful and deliberate. She took the gourd from Tun Tun, pouring a generous amount of the amber liquid into a glass. The smell of expensive whiskey filled the air as she took a sip, savoring the burn as it slid down her throat.

She walked over to the dress, running her fingers along the delicate fabric. It was a stunning piece, designed to accentuate her curves and highlight her unique features. The crimson pink color was a perfect match for her hair and eyes, making her look like a rare gemstone.

Luna hovered nearby, adjusting the dress here and there.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" she said softly.

"A dress designed by the most famous designer, it's so wonderful, it's in a different league," Leticia mumbled as she touched the dress. The servant for Leonardo bowed her head.

"Crown Princess, the ninth prince designed this just for you," the woman said.

Leonardo truly knows her well. Rather than sending her white dress it's the color of her beautiful eyes that is covered by contact lenses. He chose light ivory dress instead. As for jewelry it's not fancy it's jewelry is a simple butterfly necklace knowing she likes butterflies, and also…

"Where the heels? Why are these shoes low?" Leticia asked.

"The ninth prince got these made for you."

So he even notice something so small. Leticia often took off her heels when she was alone because her feet hurt.

"Do you like it? Ninth Prince is against you wearing heels on his engagement day. Everyone tried to stop him, his uncles, aunts, grandparents, cousins, and his parents but he refused he even threaten to go on hunger strike," the servant named Jess said as she shook her head. Leticia found it amusing.

"This is my favorite out of everything I got," Leticia said.

"I will let him know congratulations my lady. You will soon join the royal family."

Yes but that say won't be come for her but for Amelia.

That day was a busy day at night Leticia was braiding her hair as she looked in the mirror she was shocked to see Morgan since she had never came to her room.

"What brings you to my room mother," Leticia asked after putting cream on her face. Morgan stepped forward as she touched Leticia chest and grabbed her palm. This is really bad Morgan is suppose to have them switch entirely. But Amelia isn't getting any better. Morgan sighed she still needs Leticia to act as Amelia but how is she supposed to tell her that?

"Do well tomorrow. And I hope we can have a good conversation when you return," Morgan said her voice gentle for the first time which shocked Leticia who was flustered but did not say anything.

"Yes mother," Leticia said putting on a fake smile.

Leticia sat down on her bed and she sighed as she laid down. Mother isn't even bothered ever since she was reborn she has never felt motherly love and it felt exhausting chasing after something you will never get. This was the first time adoptive mother actually came in her room without Amelia fussing. First time holding her hand ever so gently. As for father tsk that man is no father only cares for money honestly it's sickening to think of Quinn as a father. This entire family is full of greedy people. It's more like the brother who loves drinking partying and the father who likes doing deals would bring ruins to this family. But Leticia waited for that day to come. She wanted to watch as the great Princeton House came down to their knees. Actually honestly adoptive mother is a victim she did not chose to take home the wrong child it must be upsetting. She still kept her even though she could have thrown her away that is why Leticia allows her to do whatever she please after all if not she would have ended up on the streets. This love chasing after it has been gone now, yes one must suffer adoptive mother hope you suffer as much as I did!

The day of engagement day servants burst in Leticia room.

"Princess Amelia, it's time to get ready for the engagement ceremony!" a servant exclaimed, rushing into the room with an armful of accessories.

Leticia blinked, momentarily confused by the use of her fake name. She quickly composed herself, slipping back into the role of Amelia.

"Yes, of course," she replied calmly, sitting up on the bed.

The servants bustled around her, helping her into the engagement dress and fussing over her hair and makeup. Leticia remained still and silent throughout the process, her mind wandering to thoughts of her biological family and the life she could have had.

As they finished preparing her, Leticia stood before the mirror, admiring their handiwork. The crimson pink dress hugged her curves perfectly, and the butterfly necklace sparkled against her skin.

"Let's fix the red wig."

Leticia's hand shot out, grabbing the servant's wrist before she could touch the wig.

"No," Leticia said firmly, her voice cold and commanding.

The servant froze, her eyes wide with surprise and fear. She slowly lowered her hand, bowing her head apologetically.

"My apologies, Princess Amelia," she stammered.

"I didn't mean to overstep."

Leticia released her wrist, her expression softening slightly.

"It's fine," she said, letting out a small sigh.

"I just prefer to handle my hair myself."

She turned back to the mirror, carefully adjusting the wig herself.
