Synopsis
In a world where forgotten technology and ancient darkness lie buried beneath the silence of history, Luo Shen is just another invisible teenager—bullied, weak, and orphaned. Until the day he’s hunted. Ambushed in a lonely alley by professional assassins, Luo’s blood stains the pavement. But just as death reaches out to claim him, a phantom interface appears before his eyes: > SEAL 1: UNLOCK? With a single whispered word—“Yes”—his fate shatters. Now awakened by a forbidden power that once ended civilizations, Luo becomes the host of a long-lost darkness… and something more. A system designed by his own hands—when he was just a child and no longer human. Hunted by enemies he unknowingly hired. Haunted by memories sealed away. And empowered by the fusion of an ancient darkness and a god-tier neural chip, Luo walks the thin line between a boy seeking answers… and a monster no one can stop. In the shadows of the city and across the timelines of a broken universe, a war is reigniting. And Luo Shen is both the weapon—and the trigger. > The system has awakened. The seals are breaking. Death was just the beginning.

DarkSync: Shadow Protocol

Part 1: The Whisper of a Dead System

Prologue: Year 2050 — The Silent Night of Genesis

Location: Blacksite Research Facility, Orbit Sector 9, Earth-Luna Axis

A single, dying light flickered in the vast subterranean lab, casting long, twisted shadows across pale, sterile walls. The only sounds were the rhythmic beeping of heart monitors, faint beneath the low, thrumming whine of overloaded power cells.

At the heart of the chamber floated a child, no older than six, suspended in a vertical containment tube. Wires coiled across his small frame like black veins. Tubes drilled deep into his spine and neck. His eyes were closed, his face unnervingly calm.

But inside the observation room, chaos erupted.

"His body is rejecting it! His brain is overheating — rapidly!"

"He's… still alive? How? That should've melted his cortex!"

"The chip is… adapting. No — it's synchronizing!"

The researchers, clad in pristine uniforms marked with the logo of a long-collapsed federation, crowded around flickering holographic panels. A single glyph blared red across every screen:

UNKNOWN ENERGY INTERFERENCE

A courier burst through the blast door, gasping, clutching a sealed cryo-container.

"We found it! The relic — the crystal from the Mars-Theta ruins! It's matching the chip's frequency!"

One scientist's head snapped up.

"Bring it closer. The chip… it's resonating."

The dark crystal was unlike anything humanity had ever discovered — matte black, its hexagonal structure shifting as if it possessed a life of its own. The moment it neared the containment tube, the air itself split.

A static shockwave ripped through the lab.

Then — absolute silence.

The crystal vanished from the container.

All lights died for three long, eternal seconds.

When emergency power flickered back, the boy's eyes were open.

Black, glowing with a faint, haunting violet.

He was awake. Calm. Watching.

Seconds later, the facility drowned in red alert.

Screams echoed down metal corridors.

Every camera feed turned to static.

Blood painted the laboratory floors.

Not a single soul survived that night.

The boy was gone.

Scene 1: Year 2061 — A Normal Life (Or So It Seems)

Part 1 — Seal One: The Moment I Died

MC's Perspective

After school, I took the same road I always did.

Quiet. Hidden behind the warehouse lot and abandoned factories. A narrow, shadowed alley.

Fewer people.

Fewer eyes.

Less noise.

I liked it that way.

My footsteps echoed between rusted fences. The sun sank low, bleeding orange into violet.

But today… something was deeply wrong.

I couldn't name it, but the air felt heavy. The silence wasn't empty.

It was watching.

Then I heard it.

One single step behind me.

I spun around fast — nothing.

My pulse spiked. I walked faster, hands clenched tight in my pockets.

Just keep walking. It's just your mind.

Another sound — metal scraping against stone.

I stopped breathing entirely.

"Target sighted. Proceeding with the hit."

The voice didn't come from ahead.

It came from right beside me.

I whirled — and she was there.

A woman, mid-twenties, face half-concealed, slim build, dressed like any ordinary civilian.

But her eyes?

Empty.

And in her right hand — something thin, silver, and lethally sharp.

Assassins' POV – Female (Codename: Shade)

He looks like a damn kid. Doesn't even know he's seconds from death.

Easy job. In and out. No mess. Get paid.

Her wrist flicked. The blade fully extended.

MC's Perspective

I stumbled back. My chest tightened. My legs wanted to run — but froze.

"W-why are you doing this? I didn't do anything to you!"

Two more figures stepped out behind me.

One large, heavy-built, a knife in one hand and a stun-spike in the other.

The third leaned lazily against the wall, calm as if this was just another Tuesday.

No one spoke.

They just closed in.

Assassins' POV – Male (Codename: Rhino)

Kid's terrified. Probably pissing himself. No fight. Just clean work.

"Don't drag it out. End him."

He lunged first.

MC's Perspective

Pain exploded in my leg. A shallow, burning slice — enough to make me collapse.

I hit the ground hard. Gravel bit into my palms.

Another blow crashed into my ribs. Fire erupted in my chest. My lungs refused to work. I choked, curled into a ball, vision blurring.

I wanted to scream.

But my throat locked shut.

Then…

everything changed.

The world slowed.

Sound faded.

Their movements blurred.

And right in front of me — a floating, glowing screen materialized.

Not my phone. Not AR. Not a hallucination.

Just… there.

A voice — no, a thought — echoed inside my skull.

SEAL 1: [ UNLOCKABLE ]

Unlock Seal 1?

[ YES ] [ NO ]

MC's Perspective

I couldn't move. Could barely breathe. My blood soaked into the dirt. My limbs turned ice-cold.

But something inside me —

moved.

Not my body.

My will.

I stared at the screen.

And whispered:

"Yes…"

Assassins' POV – All

A shockwave of pure, unbridled dark energy blasted outward. They staggered back, stunned.

"What the hell — what was that?!" Shade shouted, eyes locked on the boy now standing.

His body was changing.

Veins darkened beneath his skin. His back arched unnaturally. Something ancient and terrifying shimmered behind his eyes.

Rhino grunted, alarmed.

"This wasn't part of the briefing!"

"Abort! Abort mission —!" the third assassin screamed.

MC's Perspective

I stood.

The pain…

gone.

The cold? Vanished.

All I felt was power.

And something else — rage. Not fully mine, but ours.

Me, and something deeper, older, darker.

I stared at my hands.

Still trembling. Still bleeding.

But I wasn't scared anymore.

I laughed.

Quiet at first.

Then louder, colder, unhinged.

They hesitated.

I moved.

Assassins' POV – Shade

He vanished.

"Where did he —?!"

A hand closed around her throat.

She slammed into the wall so hard her skull cracked against concrete. Her body slid limply to the ground.

Still.

MC's Perspective

The knife-wielding man tried to run.

I was in front of him before his second step.

I drove his own blade into his chest — and twisted.

He gasped. I saw his confusion. His fear.

I leaned close.

"You were hired to kill the wrong person."

He tried to speak. Blood bubbled from his lips.

I let him fall.

The last one — the calm one — raised his hands in surrender.

"Wait! We were just hired! We didn't know what you are!"

I walked toward him slowly. Shadows coiled around me like smoke.

"You didn't know… because the client was me."

His eyes widened in pure terror.

"Wha —?"

Darkness surged from my palm.

He didn't even scream.

MC's Perspective (Final)

Silence.

Three corpses.

And me, standing in the center, beneath the dying twilight.

Breathing steady.

Alive.

But no longer the same.

The screen blinked again.

[ SEAL 1: UNLOCKED ]

DarkSync Status: Stabilized

Luo Shen survived the ambush.

He unlocked Seal 1 at the brink of death.

The darkness within him awakened.

The assassins are dead.

When it's over:

He's confused.

Terrified of himself.

He doesn't understand what just happened.

But deep inside… he feels calm.

Like this was always meant to be.

Like he's been waiting for it his whole life.
