Auden's bad feeling was right on the money. As he had thought, Luna was in a bit of trouble. He found her walking through the halls barefoot, though her expression seemed to indicate that it did not cause any problems for her. Auden immediately walked towards her.
"Luna, what happened?"
"Oh, not to worry, a few Nargles were a bit naughtier than usual," Luna replied without any sort of discomfort.
As Auden was about to ask more, his hearing managed to catch a conversation a bit further away. Since most of the students had gone to watch the Quidditch Cup, the entire castle was so silent that Auden could hear the conversation clearly even though it was happening farther away.
As he listened, his expression grew cloudier. He heard a group of girls laughing while talking about how they had stolen Luna's shoes and flushed them down the toilet.
As Auden turned around to confront them, he felt a tug on the back of his sweater. Looking behind, he found Luna gazing at him gently without uttering a single word.
For a moment, there was silence. Auden took a step back, and Luna let her hand fall. Even without speaking, Auden understood what she was trying to convey.
He took out his wand and used Transfiguration to change the air molecules into two simple sandals with straps that Luna could wear. Due to the extra classes he had taken with the professors and the additional studies he had done with the books and tomes he had gotten from Nicholas, he had become leagues ahead of others studying the same subjects. Plus, with his system summarizing the core concepts while discarding the unnecessary parts, he had reached a level where he could use simple Transfiguration with silent casting like a final-year student at Hogwarts.
Luna then followed Auden to the Quidditch stadium to watch the rest of the matches. By the time they reached the last hallway, they met Klaus and Tori, who were there to see what was happening. Seeing the worried expression on Auden's face earlier, they had been concerned that something must have happened. But now, seeing his slightly angered expression and Luna's new footwear, which had never been seen before, they guessed what had happened. They decided to remain silent so that Auden could calm down.
Auden was angry at the bullies who had tried to hurt Luna. He knew this was because they were jealous of the way she was earning the most points in Ravenclaw right after him, along with the fact that Luna was so different from other girls, making her something of an outcast in her house. Even though Auden was her friend and Tori and Klaus could be considered close acquaintances, a person still needs more friends, especially of the same gender. But Luna's free-spirited character made it hard for others to understand her, resulting in her being excluded and thereby bullied, sometimes even orchestrated into bullying by others.
Auden wanted to deal with them personally, but Luna clearly did not want to escalate these conflicts due to her kind disposition. So Auden could only keep his anger in check. As he tried to calm down, he heard laughter and saw the girls who had bullied Luna entering the stadium, talking about what they had done. When they noticed Luna sitting among the audience watching the match, they began talking about her again. They spoke in low voices so others couldn't hear, but Auden caught every single word.
'Alright, looks like I'll have to ask her for help with this one,' Auden thought, clenching his fist.
'But first, I need to make sure that the plans I have go well without any problems,' he thought as he looked at Harry Potter, who was becoming more and more tired as he healed people. Even though Parseltongue made his expenditure of energy while using magic almost negligible, he was still a child whose magic had not yet grown to the level of Madam Pomfrey, who could handle hundreds of patients at the same time. And the Slytherin team seeing the Hufflepuffs being healed quickly by Harry, decided to cause more accidents so as to make Harry use up all his magic so that he will be unable to easily heal others again.
Auden could see Harry Potter was getting really tired.
At night, after the Quidditch game.
Harry was over the moon with the way people were treating him now. There was no fear or apprehension on their faces as there had been when it was revealed that he was a Parseltongue. During the matches, when he was healing the Hufflepuffs, Hermione had made sure to inform them about how Parseltongue was treated outside Hogwarts and how it was discriminated against in Europe. Seeing its effectiveness in healing, the Hufflepuffs easily believed it.
And with their sociable nature, the Hufflepuffs spread the word to the entire student body within a few hours, even before dinner began. Even Harry was shocked by the power of the rumour mill and its effectiveness. He decided to make a mental note to not antagonise them in the future.
Harry got into bed with a smile after seeing that everything was back to normal. But feeling exhausted from the extreme expenditure of magic, he immediately fell asleep. It didn't take long for the rest of the students in the dorm room to fall asleep as well.
As everyone slept, one person emerged from the corner of the Gryffindor common room, removing an Invisibility Cloak from his shoulders.
Auden smiled slightly, knowing he had succeeded in hiding himself from everyone else in the dorm.
He then cast silencing spells on his shoes and enchanted himself with the odourless spell again so it would last longer. It did not take him long to locate Harry's room, as he had silently tagged Ron while hiding in the common room.
He slowly entered, making sure the door also had a silencing enchantment cast upon it. The castle was old enough that he couldn't take any risks while carrying out his plan.
It didn't take him long to find what he was looking for.
A/N- hope you like it.
