Chapter 13 - Chapter 13

Adrian immediately walked to the closet and closed the room, then he opened the closet and pulled out his drawer. The contents of the drawer were still complete as he had left them, and he put the deed of gift he had just brought in. After that, Adrian sat on the side of his bed, thinking.

"Someone came into my apartment, I'm sure, but how did they get in?" Adrian wondered to himself.

He stood up and walked out of the room. He looked into the empty room next door and checked the bathroom. Then, as he was walking towards the sofa, he saw scratches on the floor behind the sofa. Adrian bent down and reached out his hand; the marks looked like something had been moved there.

"Hmmm... what are these marks?" Adrian muttered.

Unconsciously, his hand reached out to the wall. "Creak," "Eh... what?" Adrian spun with the wall, and "thunk," he arrived in Elsa's room.

"Whoa... whoa... whoa... whose room is this? The next-door apartment, oh my (sniffs) hmm, it smells good... Ah, never mind that, why did it turn here? How do I make it turn back?" Adrian asked, panicking.

Adrian immediately groped the wall, looking for a way to make the wall rotate back. "Thump... thump... thump," he tried hitting the wall, and "thud," he hit the wall with both hands.

"Hey, turn around, hey!" Adrian yelled, panicking.

Finally, Adrian decided to leave the room. As soon as he was outside, he saw a unit belonging to someone else, whose layout was completely different from his own. Adrian turned to see the kitchen and bathroom aligned, unlike his own.

"Of course, my unit is unique."

But as he turned in the opposite direction, he saw a room in front facing the window, slightly forward by about 1.5 meters, and the same size as his main bedroom. Adrian immediately went back into the room. He turned on the light and looked around. He opened the closet and saw a female high school uniform hanging behind the door.

"I don't think so. This closet is new, not like my rather antique one," Adrian said, observing the closet in the room.

Remembering when he saw the slightly advanced room, he went to the empty corner of the room right next to the adjacent room. He measured 1.5 meters from the corner.

"Hmm, roughly the same width as the secret room behind that closet. Let's try," Adrian said.

He turned to look around the wall but found nothing. Then he saw a table exactly 1.5 meters from the corner. On the table was a lamp that looked rather antique. Adrian reached out his hand to one of the lamp's handles. "Click," the lamp handle went down. "Screech," Adrian turned to see the wall moving upwards. "Blare," the light came on, illuminating the secret room.

Adrian peeked inside. The room contained only shelves for hanging clothes, but the clothes hanging were oddly shaped, like expensive party gowns from abroad and several sets of old-fashioned tuxedos. Adrian remembered the photo of the couple dancing in the ballroom.

"Hmm, these must be their clothes," Adrian muttered.

He turned to look at the end of the room. At the end, there was a glass box containing a watch similar to the one he found in his unit's secret room, but smaller and sleeker, as if designed specifically for women. As Adrian was about to touch it, he suddenly remembered that he was in the unit next door.

He ran out, then back to the wall. He tried tapping the wall, then he tried to remember what he had done before the wall rotated. He tried to mimic it but failed. Finally, he walked out of the room again and went straight to the front door. "Click," the front door was tightly locked, but he realized he had his unit's key.

"Let's try, just in case. The important thing is to go home before the owner of this unit comes back," Adrian said.

He inserted his key, and "click," he managed to open it. Then he immediately ran to his unit. As he reached out his key, "ding," he heard the elevator about to open. He quickly inserted his key and went inside. "Slam," he slammed the door shut. After that, he quickly ran and saw the bed in his living room.

When he turned to look at the wall, there was a patch of wallpaper peeled off and an 'X' mark on the wall. Adrian tried to touch the 'X' mark and "creak," "thunk," the wall rotated again, then "haaaah," Adrian leaned against the wall and slid down, sitting weakly while holding his unit key.

"Safe, but who came into my place? Oh my god, truly an adrenaline rush. If I hadn't had a heart transplant operation, I'd surely be dead now," Adrian said, feeling his heartbeat.

But suddenly, "Waaaaaaa... what is this?" a faint scream of a girl was heard from behind the wall. "Sorry," Adrian said, clasping his hands in front of his face and pressing them to his nose.

Meanwhile, next door, Elsa was so shocked she stood gaping, seeing a secret room directly across from the head of her bed.

"Is there a thief here? First, the front door wasn't locked; there's no way I forgot to lock it. Second, when I entered, I heard something sliding from the room. Third, when I entered the room, that room was there. Should I call the police... wait, let me see what's inside that room first. What if it's full of weapons like next door? Then I'd be the one getting arrested," Elsa thought to herself.

Elsa got out of her wheelchair and crawled towards the secret room. She peeked inside, and her eyes immediately widened.

"Wow,"

She was mesmerized by the rows of beautiful, diverse, and seemingly luxurious clothes. Without thinking twice, she went inside and looked around. As soon as she saw some pieces of clothing,

"Wait, these clothes are... wait a minute,"

Elsa immediately crawled out, then she opened the closet and climbed onto it. She opened a drawer and took out the photo album she had gotten from next door. She returned to the secret room and opened her album. She started matching the clothes worn by the couple in the paintings.

"Wow... all these clothes are in the paintings, that's amazing! Do I look good in them?" Elsa said, overjoyed.

She took one dress and tried it on, then she took another and kept trying on clothes, trying to fit them. She went back and forth to the dressing table mirror, even though it was difficult, just because she wanted to see if she looked good in those beautiful gowns.

"Ah, not quite right. It really needs to be a Westerner, huh? Oh, if I'm not mistaken, Lia's father, who was at the hospital that time, was also a Westerner, right? I only saw him from afar," Elsa thought to herself.

As she was tidying up her gowns and folding them because she couldn't hang them, she turned to see a glass box at the end of the room. Elsa crawled towards the box, then she climbed onto the chair next to it and lifted the lid of the box. She took the women's watch inside and put it on.

"Hehe, cool. Can I have it? This is my unit, right? It's true, right? But it's don't light up huh," Elsa said.

When she pressed the button, the digital watch immediately lit up, and the time showed the correct time, so there was no need to set it again. But after that,

"Good Morning, I."

A robotic male voice was heard greeting in English. Elsa was surprised to hear it, but she immediately looked at and observed her watch.

"Where did the voice come from?" she asked.

Enthusiastically, Elsa pressed all the buttons on the watch just to make the voice speak again. Suddenly, a laser came out and scanned Elsa's entire body like a scanner.

"Body check completed, repair legs commencing."

Thick, dark black liquid came out from under the watch. "Wuaaaaah, what is this?" Elsa screamed, feeling ticklish. The liquid crept over Elsa's body towards her two thighs. Suddenly, the liquid gathered and piled up on Elsa's thighs. After that, the liquid began to roll, forming a pair of legs that connected to Elsa's thighs. Of course, Elsa was immediately shocked to see a pair of black legs attached to her thighs.

The black color on the legs began to fade and changed to Elsa's skin color, making her legs look truly like Elsa's own legs. Of course, Elsa, seeing this, was immediately shocked. She covered her mouth with both hands, and her eyes never left her pair of legs.

"I-I have legs... I have legs!" Elsa exclaimed.

She stretched out her finger, trying to press her new legs. Tears began to stream down her face because the legs were really there in front of her, not her imagination.

"Thank goodness... Dad... Mom... Grandpa... Grandma... I have legs... I have legs!" Elsa said, crying and smiling broadly.
