Chapter 1: The Weakest Beast
Thirteen-year-old Tang Ren stood before the towering gates of the Evolution Tower, his palms sweating.
The twin suns of EvoBeast cast golden rays on the white stone plaza, where hundreds of youths waited. All wore the ceremonial dark red robes of the Crimson Fang Clan, each clutching a token—their invitation to destiny.
His twin sister, Tang Yue, stood beside him, tall and proud. Her eyes sparkled with anticipation.
"Nervous?" she teased.
Tang Ren smiled wryly. "More like... prepared for the worst."
The crowd whispered. Everyone knew Tang Yue was the clan's shining star, already rumored to be chosen by a high-tier beast. But Tang Ren?
He was the forgotten twin.

Inside the tower, one by one, youths walked into the glowing chamber. A giant crystal pulsed in the center, surrounded by stone pillars etched with runes.
When their turn came, Tang Yue entered first.
A moment later, the crystal flared with blue lightning. A roar echoed.
She emerged, riding the back of a majestic Azure Sky Drake, her body glowing with bonded energy.
Cheers erupted. The elders nodded in approval.
Then it was Tang Ren's turn.
He stepped into the chamber.
The moment his feet touched the center, a cold voice echoed in his mind:

The glowing crystal spun rapidly, its light dimming, then—
Poof.
Out came a tiny, green lizard with stubby limbs, blinking at him with innocent eyes.
The silence was deafening.
Outside, a few gasps escaped.
"Is that... a Lizard Beast?"
"Trash-tier! Even peasants get better!"
"His sister got a Sky Drake... and he got a gecko."
Tang Ren didn't flinch.
He looked at the lizard. It stared back, then wobbled closer and climbed onto his shoulder.
