Synopsis
This is an epic that reflects on the dignity of humanity. The old train brought Charlotte Zarathustra into this mysterious land: Lucia. The classical train station reflected the old glory, and so as the rust reflect the ancient lost. The people have gone from post-industrialized to classical medieval. The rain continues to wash away life as a gift from God. However, they never asked whether life ever wanted this never-stopping rain. Following the original destiny of this world, the people shall be saved from the pure rain of the High God, without any other choice. However, the one-eyed maid will swing her Lycoris to bring the human's will as a foreign traveller.

Chapter 1 - Arrival

Charlotte slowly walked out of the exit of an old train. The journey was not fun, considering the train's poor condition, but this was the best she could get in this place.

As usual, the city is raining. Sometimes as big as a storm, while sometimes as small as water drops, but it never stops raining. The cloud has been covering the sun for decades. Due to its unique geological environment, most of the urban area is fully covered with sheds, including the train platform on which Charlotte is currently standing. She looks around, searching, and ends up with a sign hanging below the pillars of the sheds.

"Lucia…" Charlotte murmured with a smile on her face.

Other building parts, such as the sign and the tree, are all made of metal and appear they have rusted due to the city's high humidity. The writings of this stop started fading into disrepair over the ages. Charlotte bowed and shook her head, then continued walking to her left.

Choo! Choo!

The train soon departed again into the pouring rain as soon as Charlotte started walking. She is wearing a red maid dress today, except the skirt is much shorter–to her knees–than a classic one. A pair of red heels comes along to pair with the dress. Of course, the heels are not as high as the ones worn by the nobles during a banquet. After all, Charlotte has always needed tactical demands.

Clacked! Clacked!

Charlotte's footsteps echoed around the platform. No one came out of the train at Lucia's station, and no one was waiting for the train on the platform. If Charlotte had not known there was a civilization on this land, she would have thought the people here were extinct.

As the journey continued, Charlotte arrived at the exit gate of the platform connected to the station by stairs going up. She steps up while looking around like a tourist in a famous city. The wall was once covered with nice wallpaper, but most of it had already peeled off the wall and was lying on the ground when she arrived.

Charlotte stopped at a statue after she stepped into the main lobby of the station. Just like the platform, it is both empty and old. However, this statue is oddly new compared to other parts of this place. The statue is a naked woman pointing a drawn sword towards the entrance. Every part of her body is carved with beauty, except for one thing: her eyes. It is filled with empty hollowness.

"Quite hot, and I love the contrast," Charlotte commented while staring at the statue's chest.

At the bottom of the statue, there is a blank stone slate. Charlotte carefully landed her hand on the slate. Based on the bulge, there were writings on it before; however, it is no longer readable after being abraded by time.

Charlotte looked around again and asked, "What are you guys waiting for?"

No one answered her.

"I see how this is going…Then I guess I will go first."

Charlotte slowly raised her hand to her left eye and landed upon it. Again, no one answered her other than her echo. The broken long chair lay on the floor quietly with a scratch, a scratch of five straight lines.

"I gave y'all your chances," Charlotte announced with banter.

Charlotte started to dig her fingers into his eye. Surprisingly, the eye did not bleed, but she did not stop. She continues to get deeper into her head, eventually being able to grab her entire left eyeball. Without hesitation, she pulls her entire eyeball out. However, by the time she opens her palm, there is no blood or eyeball, but a bloody red cross. At a glance, the lycoris started to get bigger and bigger. The pedals started to connect, eventually forming into one long cone shape. She was shocked as quickly as lightning, her hand, and the cone started to turn into a cross with the motion. Then, it slowly turned into a 72-inch Montante sword made from lycoris, pointing down.

Charlotte kicked the blade to lift it. By holding the Montante sword with only one hand, she pointed it at the statue's head. She stood there for a second and looked around again.

"Y'all are unique…" Charlotte responded to the air.

Charlotte gave them enough chances. She swung the sword toward the head like an executioner. Suddenly, a dark shadow, so fast that he could not be seen, jumped in front of her blade. Charlotte's blade was stopped by the shadow's arm. As the shadow stopped her blade, Charlotte finally recognized it. It is 7 feet tall, covered with black fur as sharp as knives. Although his body is covered, the strong muscles under the fur can still be seen. Its muscles are like a human's, but how on earth would a human have such fur?

Ignoring the size of the sword, Charlotte took a black flip to dodge the scratch of the shadow's claw. In the air, Charlotte saw the shadow's face. Instead of having a face like a human as its body, the shadow has a wolf's head. Its teeth are sharp swords, and its eye is filled with rage.

"A werewolf? Really?" Charlotte questioned, surprisingly, as she landed gently like a feather.

The werewolf lunged towards Charlotte again with more power. Charlotte, however, did not do so this time. Instead, she snapped with her finger and landed firmly in the same place, and a sudden red light popped up in front of her. Then, it spread all over his body and disappeared. The nails of the werewolf's claw were stopped by an invisible force and cracked.

"Power without wisdom is just going to hurt yourself, isn't it?" Charlotte said jokingly.

After being said, Charlotte pierced through the werewolf's throat with the Montante and pushed it onto the floor with acceleration. The Lycrosis that forms the mountain dissolves into poison in the injuries until the mountain disappears.

Soon after, the werewolf screamed and fell into extreme suffering. Charlotte stood up after the attack and looked around.

"You are the only one," Charlotte said as she slowly walked towards the werewolf, "I know this world is poor, but I never thought of the evil dragon in this game of 'Dragon Quest.'"

Roar!

The werewolf stared at Charlotte daringly, even when facing death. However, in return, there is the smile of Charlotte.

"You want me to end your pain, don't you? Don't worry, I got you," Charlotte said as she reached into her left sleeve.

Charlotte shook her right hand and pulled it from the sleeve like a magician, and a dark gold revolver pistol gun showed up in her hand. She dialed out the wheel and plugged a bullet into the wheel. Leaving the wheel open, Charlotte stepped her foot onto the werewolf's body while looking at it like children preparing a prank.

"Why don't I give you some mercy? Let's play a game," Charlotte laughed as she pinned the wheel with her finger.

"I am pretty sure you heard of Russian Roulette, eh? There is only one bullet with rose carving in the wheel," Charlotte announced when she swung the wheel back, "and we each take a shot. In the beginning, at least for this one, the percentage of deaths from the first shot is one-sixth. Sounds pretty safe, right? Let's see who will survive…"

The werewolf, after gaining some strength, started to swing its arm in resistance.

"Ah Ah!" Charlotte warned after summoning the vine of roses to strip its arm. "We don't allow cheaters. Anyway, where were we, little puppy?"

Charlotte pointed her revolver towards the werewolf's head and said, "Oh yes, Russian Roulette. Wait, is it even called Russian roulette here? Eh, doesn't matter. Since you just lost the battle with me, why don't you go first?"

Bang!

A loud gunshot echoed around the train station.

"Dawg, what kind of luck do you have?"

Of course, there would be no longer any roars or responses. Charlotte lifted her foot on the werewolf and continued walking. The body of the werewolf immediately started to rot at an incredible speed, soon turning into black ashes. That bullet Charlotte fired was not any normal bullet on Earth, nor was the revolver.

Suddenly, Charlotte stopped and turned around and revealed, "Sike! You thought! This is why you should take your physics class more seriously, isn't it?"

Although the gunshot seemed to be a product of possibility, Charlotte waited for the wheel to spin to the exact place she wanted before she put the wheel back into the gun. This was never a game but a show, a show with only one audience: Charlotte.

There is another shed at the train station's exit. This world's destiny is in the beginning, and it will be everlasting, just like the rain in this city. However, destiny is like a story. A mature writer with great outlines often gives the story an ending before it even starts.

All you need to do is find the writer Charlotte claimed in her heart as her left eye started to grow back.

She walked under the shed. Several broken carriages and old locomotive cars lay on the side of the brick road. If Charlotte could, she would love to take these rides. Unfortunately, none of the drivers or coachmen were around anymore.

Charlotte dug her eyeball out and summoned a Lycrosis again. Just like the Montante, it transformed into a long stick. Then, part of the long stick started to peel apart, forming an umbrella. She opened the umbrella, said nothing, and walked into the rain, heading to her next destination.
