"Here, my clothes are in this cupboard, and the undergarments are in this drawer," Liora said to Elara as she pointed toward the neatly folded stack inside the minimally carved wooden cupboard.
Her tone was practical, but her actions carried a quiet gentleness, as though she wanted Elara to feel at ease.
"The bathroom is there. Go take a bath, and then you can wear whichever clothes you like," Liora added, stepping back to give her space.
Elara, however, wasn't moving. She stood frozen for a moment, her gaze lingering on the woman in front of her as though she were some wonder of the world. Her lips parted slightly, eyes soft, confused yet touched.
