Time Passed...
The little serpent and the lone figure just started at each other, as the Dark-vail enshrouded the dark cave...like Death embraceing the dead.
The long silence stretched just like the eternal river of time...as the two pairs of Golden and Scarlett stared at each other for 150 seconds without blinking...
One in worry and concern and the other in fear and dread...
Both not knowing what the other was thinking...
Black waited for the little serpent to answer, as he calmly gazed at those pair of Scarlett orbs, but even after 2 and half minutes she didn't answer...
He got worried, and thaught 'I must have frightened the little serpent, I would've been frightened too if I didn't have the innate Pride and the innate qualities of a Proginetor...'
Hearing Black's absurd thaughts, how could Double miss a chance to mock Black, so he countered...
"What innate Pride and qualities you are thinking about...you almost shouted like a little girl back then when the little serpent had suddenly *hissed* in fear...fool talking about the Pride of a Proginetor..." Double spoke in his mind, clearly mocking him, But Black didn't have a counter to any of that,
Still he tried to defend himself,
"I...I was just caught of guard... otherwise that would've never happened" He countered in his mind to Double's mockery, but even he was not so sure of what he said,
'This basterd I was just praiseing myself a little, if he didn't like it, then so be it. why did he have to bring that up and mock him... I swear he so irritating...uugghh...' being not able to defend himself, he could only curse at Double and do nothing
Seeing they were again going off topic and ignoring the little serpent, Double said...
"Anyway, you should try to talk to her, she is too frightened of you to even speak...and this time, you should keep your voice calm and composed or a little bit gentle at least, to not seem threatening to her"
Hearing Double suddenly changing the topic, and the subject of the topic, Black also decided to forget there previous squabble.
"But what should I talk to her about, I haven't talk to anyone before, let alone someone so young. Apparantly who is also so afraid of me". Black asked, the same old question again. That he didn't know how to talk to her properly without frightening her...It was like he was struck in a predicament,
where he indeed wanted to help her, reason being the little serpent just so happens to be the first living creature he met so he didn't want to kill her...a bit childish, yeah, so what. he is no different from one.
The other being he wasn't that strong emotionally because well he haven't lived that long to develop that particular skill, so when he saw the little serpent pleading for mercy, even if he was born as a merciless or heartless creature he still would've chosen to spare her instead of killing her...but the main problem still remained that he didn't know how to.
"I haven't talked to anyone either except your idiot self..." Double replied with a grunt. However as he thought about it 'if I left it to this fool to figure out how to talk to this little serpent...he would just frighten her again' Double mused as he gazed at the little serpent through Black's eyes 'and I'm also curious to know how she got in here...just with in 4 hours since her birth...'
Double thaught all that in a second and quickly replied,
"Aaghh...just talk to her about, if she is alright or not, that she doesn't have to worry, that you won't do anything to her, something like that... just try to calm her down first...so she is not this frightened of us...you that she doesn't even have the courage to talk...mind-less...fool"
"Alright" Hearing his words Black nodded his head a single time, as he looked at her and spoke in a calm tone...
"Little serpent you don't have to fear me..." Black spoke in a calm tone as he tried to reassure her that he won't harm her, but seeing that she had no reaction to his words as if she didn't believe him or could not believe him, he quickly added "If I had really wanted to harm you, we wouldn't be staring at each other for so long".
Hearing this the little serpents Scarlett eyes widened as if she just now realised that in her fear she had been staring at the unknown creature for so long, then if this unknown creature really wanted to harm her it should've done so already...
Thinking this the little serpent finally calmed down a little, the adrenaline coursing in her vains also calmed down, her body slowly moving and relaxing, she's been on alert for so long fearing for her life that her body was really so close to just giving up...
As the little serpent gazed up at the strange creature, still a little cautious...however even in fear she decided to trust him and take a leep of faith...ane spoke,
"Really you won't kill me and eat me" the little serpent asked in a very innocent tone, her voice bairly above a whisper. As though afraid, what if she accidentally angered this unknown creature and he...decided to eat her, no she didn't want to die...
Hearing her question and seeing her innocent expression with Which she asked the said question, Black was quiet amused...'where did she get the idea that I would eat her of all things' Black mused, sensing his thaughts Double answered him...
'Ooh...so,that's why'
Apparently, in the world of magical beasts killing and devouring there pray is the natural law...Magical beasts can be the most cruel being, going to the point of eating there own kin... Or can be the most compassionate willing to even die for other. But mostly it depends on there race and Secondly there individual characteristics, like a wolf which can be both cruel and loyal to death at the same time...
