Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The God Reborn Among Mortals

In the Celestial Realm, where time flowed like still water and stars bowed to divine will, the gods gazed endlessly upon the mortal world. Among them sat Tian Zhen, a young deity born from starlight and silence, who had grown weary of eternity.

He did not fall because of rebellion. He fell because of curiosity.

"What do they feel? These mortals we created… what is pain, joy, hunger?" Tian Zhen wondered aloud.

The elder gods laughed.

"To live as they do is beneath us," one said.

But Tian Zhen's interest did not fade. One night, while the heavens slumbered, he descended—not to become human, but to simply observe. Yet in that fleeting moment, the divine order shifted.

Someone took his place.

And sealed the gates behind him.

He had been betrayed.

Without form, he was swept into the mortal cycle, reborn through the womb of a noblewoman. His cries never came. He opened his eyes quietly, not as a newborn, but as a god trapped in flesh.

He was born into the prestigious House of Xuan, the second son of Duke Xuan and Lady Xuan Mei, under twin moons and falling starlight. Unlike normal infants, he didn't cry or flail. He observed.

He understood.

But he could not speak.

His system remained—but like a bird in a cage, its wings were tied.

His mother, Lady Xuan Mei, held him lovingly. "Tiantian," she whispered, "you came quietly. You must be a lucky child."

Li Tian.

That was the name given to him.

He accepted it with silence.

The estate was grand but fractured. The first wife, Lady Hong, controlled the inner court with a sharp gaze and sharper tongue. Her son, Xuan Fei, was five, already declared heir.

The third wife, Lady Shen, was soft-spoken and kind. Her daughter, Ru'er, often peeked into the nursery and giggled whenever Li Tian stared back without blinking.

Among them all, Lady Mei—his mortal mother—was the quietest, often ignored by the servants and mocked behind silk curtains. But her gaze was always warm. Real.

Still, Li Tian was not a child. Not truly.

His thoughts were of betrayal, of a stolen throne, of divine laws twisted against him. He had come to observe. But now, he had been cast down, forced to live, learn, and grow like the humans he once pitied.

So be it.

> "If I must crawl before I fly again… then I will crawl with purpose."

And thus, the god began his mortal journey—not as a ruler, not as a warrior, but as a silent child in a golden crib, hiding eternity behind newborn eyes.
