The car sped off onto the highway, heading somewhere Shen Yi didn't know. He stared out of the back window with a tense gaze, seeing no sign of anyone pursuing them.
"Stop the car," Shen Yi said quietly, turning to Xu Bo.
Xu Bo tightened his grip on the steering wheel but didn't respond, instead glancing at Jiang Qi through the rearview mirror, his eyes silently asking what to do.
Shen Yi then looked at Jiang Qi, waiting for an answer, but before he could speak further, Jiang Qi said with a firm voice, "It's dangerous."
"I'll be fine," Shen Yi replied without hesitation, keeping his voice calm, but Jiang Qi shook his head, clearly unwilling to change his mind.
"I said no," Jiang Qi responded, his tone leaving no room for argument.
Shen Yi's eyes darkened slightly, and he sat straighter in his seat before speaking again.
"You said you'd let me go," he reminded him, "Don't go back on your word now."
