Chapter 13 - 13

After a while, Ron finally sent the chattering little spider away, allowing him to stay at home by himself.

The little spider, who had awakened his talkative nature, was too terrifying. After learning that Ron also had superpowers, he asked so many questions that Ron was on the verge of a breakdown.

Of course, Ron didn't tell Peter all of his abilities. He only mentioned that he possessed two simple superpowers: telepathy and telekinesis, without revealing too much.

Then, Ron simply brushed Peter off, using the excuse that Uncle Ben must be waiting anxiously outside, and sent Peter back home.

Although Peter was considered Ron's friend, Ron was still alone in this world. Ron could be friends with others, but he would never let anyone know everything about him!

After Peter left, Ron began to seriously consider his next plans.

This was a dangerous Marvel world. If the correct timeline of this world proceeded, Thanos would descend upon Earth in a few years at most. At that time, all the super-powered individuals on Earth would be targets for Thanos's extermination. Before that, Ron had to acquire power equal to Thanos's to resist his invasion.

Ron's current strength was, at most, comparable to a peak-form Spider-Man. He still had a long way to go if he wanted to strengthen himself to Thanos's level.

Previously, Ron had strengthened his mental power using the mutated venom from the mutated spider. Although Ron could now materialize the mutated venom with his manifestation ability, since he had already strengthened himself with it once, the mutated venom no longer had any effect on Ron's mental power.

However, Ron's methods for strengthening his mental power were not limited to obtaining extraordinary items; this was just the simplest and quickest way for him to enhance his mental power.

The primary method Ron used to strengthen his mental power was actually to slowly wait for the singularity in his sea of consciousness to grow stronger on its own.

This singularity was the beginning of everything. Given hundreds of millions or even billions of years, the singularity in his sea of consciousness could grow strong enough to form a universe or even a multiverse, providing Ron with immense power.

Of course, this amount of time was too long, and Ron certainly couldn't wait, so Ron decided that he would actively strengthen it.

Since this singularity needed time to grow slowly, Ron would give it time.

In the vast universe and multiverse, time is just a concept.

Perhaps in a certain dimension, a year has passed here, while in another dimension, only a second has gone by.

What Ron needed to do was find a suitable dimension for the singularity in his sea of consciousness, and then use the time of that dimension to strengthen his singularity, just like the universe Ron transformed into during his coma.

That universe had already evolved into void and stars while Ron was still in a state of chaos. Although it wasn't a true universe yet, it was already quite close.

In the dimension where Ron transformed into a universe, only a few hours had passed in this Marvel world. How wondrous was that?

If Ron could once again enter that dimension to strengthen his singularity, expanding it to a cosmic or even multiversal form, then Ron could achieve strength comparable to Thanos or even the Beyonder in just a few hours.

But at this moment, Ron had not yet entered the singularity in his sea of consciousness to explore the ability to manipulate time dimensions.

The singularity in his sea of consciousness was still in a very weak state. Although it allowed Ron to possess abilities similar to a peak Spider-Man, it couldn't yet enable Ron to find those elusive dimensions through the singularity.

To possess this strength, Ron still needed to use extraordinary items to strengthen his mental power once or even several times more.

Therefore, Ron had been collecting information on how and when various superheroes gained their powers over the past two days, hoping to acquire those things to strengthen his own abilities.

In fact, Jessica Campbell, whom Ron had met two days ago, was also a potential opportunity. Jessica gained her superpowers from a newly developed chemical substance. If Ron could get that chemical substance, his mental power should also be able to advance a step.

It was just that by then, Jessica had already been sent to the hospital, and the military vehicle she encountered must have been removed, so Ron had no way to acquire that chemical substance.

Besides this method, the easiest and most suitable thing for Ron to obtain right now was the human enhancement serum researched by Norman Osborn!

Presumably, Norman Osborn must have been racking his brains over his human enhancement serum these past few days, right?

...New York, Oscorp Industries.

Norman Osborn rushed out of his office in a hurry and arrived at the Oscorp Industries laboratory.

He had just received good news: Dr. Stromm had re-engineered the human enhancement serum. After injecting the re-engineered serum into laboratory mice, the mice did not exhibit violence and aggression as they had before.

This meant that their human enhancement serum research had been a complete success!

Norman was extremely excited. The board had just been pressing him about the experimental phase of the human enhancement serum, making him very agitated. He hadn't expected Dr. Stromm to bring him good news so quickly.

Norman rushed to the lab, and with Dr. Stromm's help, he personally tested the human enhancement serum, obtaining the same experimental results as Dr. Stromm had earlier!

Norman became excited. The next step should be the human trial phase. Thinking of this, Norman quickly said to Dr. Stromm, "Dr. Stromm, I remember you told me yesterday that you had found a human subject for the human enhancement serum. Hurry and bring that lucky person up; let's proceed with the human trials immediately!"

Hearing Norman's words, Dr. Stromm's face showed concern. He said, "But Mr. Osborn, according to protocol, we need to observe the mice for at least a while longer before we can proceed with human trials. Is it not too rushed to go straight to human trials immediately after the mice experiments have just succeeded?"

"Dr. Stromm, you must understand that my Oscorp Industries is currently at its most critical moment. If the human enhancement serum cannot be produced as quickly as possible, my Oscorp Industries will be finished. Hurry and bring me that test subject; let's proceed directly with human trials!"

Norman Osborn stared sharply at Dr. Stromm, determined to conduct the human trials for the human enhancement serum today.

Norman had already received news that the Department of Defense was testing a technological device called a flight suit with a tech company called Exploration Aerospace these past two days. Their attitude towards his Oscorp Industries had plummeted to an all-time low. Norman desperately needed the human enhancement serum to complete his deal with the Department of Defense and defend his Oscorp business empire.

But even so, Dr. Stromm was still worried. He added, "Mr. Osborn, I know you desperately need this order from the Department of Defense, but the human enhancement serum really needs more observation time. Moreover, I heard that Dr. Curt Connors's limb regeneration technology has also made significant breakthroughs recently. This technology should also bring a large order to our Oscorp Industries, shouldn't it?"

"Dr. Connors's limb regeneration technology?" Norman snorted and continued, "His technology hasn't even succeeded in trials. He only claimed his limb regeneration technology had made a breakthrough to complete the task I assigned him; he was simply deceiving me. Don't worry about him. Right now, the human enhancement serum is the most important thing for our Oscorp Industries. Hurry and bring me that test subject, do you understand?"

"This…" Dr. Stromm opened his mouth, wanting to speak, but he couldn't think of any more reasons to stop Norman.

Dr. Stromm no longer insisted. He walked to the phone and made a call.
