Chapter 35 - 35

A jet plane landed on the lawn, and at the edge of the lawn stood an old, large European-style building, whose value was clearly extraordinary.

"Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, also known as X-Mansion, is located in Westchester County, New York, quite far from Queens. Thank you, Ron, for coming to our X-Mansion and helping us mutants."

After the jet landed steadily, Professor X, inside the plane, smiled at Ron, who was sitting opposite him, and expressed his gratitude.

"It's alright, Professor, I'm not doing this for free. You can't go back on the demands you promised me earlier."

Ron also smiled and followed Professor X off the plane.

Ron had already accepted Professor X's invitation, of course, in the form of a collaboration. He and Professor X had reached an agreement that he would help Professor X deal with Magneto.

At the same time, Professor X also had to give Ron some benefits.

Ron's request was very simple: he wanted to stay at X-Mansion for a period, not very long, just a few days would suffice.

Of course, Ron did not propose to experiment on mutants; Professor X would be crazy to agree to such a request.

Moreover, if Ron wanted to experiment on mutants, he wouldn't need Professor X's permission at all.

It wasn't that he wasn't interested, but rather that it wasn't necessary.

There were so many mutants in this world; if Ron wanted to, he could find many mutants to experiment on at any time!

The reason Ron wanted to stay at X-Mansion for a few days was simply to witness the diverse abilities of mutants.

By understanding more about mutant abilities, Ron would be better equipped to deal with those strange and unusual powers.

There were too many mutant abilities: Professor X's mind control, Jean Grey's telekinesis, Magneto's control over magnetic fields and metal, and so on... Although Ron was already powerful enough, the number of mutant abilities was simply countless. Even if Ron was confident he would never die, it was better to be safe than sorry!

The more he understood, the more at ease Ron would be... "Ron, this is our guest room at X-Mansion. You'll have to make do with staying here for a while."

After listening to Professor X's introduction, Jean Grey led Ron to a room inside the school and said.

"Okay, Ms. Jean Grey."

Ron nodded and placed his luggage in the room.

The room arrangements at X-Mansion were apparently a bit tight; even though Ron was a guest, he only received a small room less than ten square meters.

However, Ron didn't say anything; his own room wasn't much better than this one.

"Alright, Ron, if you need help, you can call me. There's also a severely injured fellow who just arrived at the academy, and I need to go treat him. Bye."

Jean Grey looked a bit rushed. After taking Ron to his room, she immediately said goodbye and went elsewhere.

Ron didn't mind; he guessed that Jean Grey was going to treat Wolverine's injuries.

Professor X had not only invited Ron but also sought out many other mutants to help the X-Men, and Wolverine was one of them.

Ron had already sensed Wolverine, who was covered in adamantium, through his psychic perception. The guy was covered in wounds, severely injured, and was currently lying on an operating table awaiting treatment.

However, Wolverine was indeed Wolverine; although his injuries were severe, they were rapidly recovering under his self-healing ability.

But Ron didn't pay too much attention to Wolverine; what he was interested in were the young mutants inside X-Mansion.

Among these youngsters, there might be some with unusual abilities that Ron wanted to learn about!

However, Ron didn't investigate excessively. This was X-Mansion, Professor X's stronghold, and he wouldn't let Ron act recklessly.

Ron greatly admired Professor X.

Facing someone whose background was completely unknown, Professor X dared to let the other party come to his stronghold. He truly was bold and confident!

Withdrew his psychic perception, Ron no longer used it to explore other things, but instead immersed his mind in his singularity, hoping to find the next opportunity to become stronger.

Although his current strength was already formidable enough, compared to those truly overpowered individuals, he was still somewhat weak.

There were many individuals at X-Mansion who could contend with Ron, such as Professor X, Phoenix, Storm, Iceman, and so on... If these individuals were to attack Ron together, Ron would only be able to find a way to avoid the battle and fight another day.

Ron had already sensed that the singularity in his sea of consciousness was currently at a stage bottleneck. As long as he broke through this bottleneck, Ron's abilities would advance to a much higher level.

To break through this stage bottleneck, relying solely on powerful material compositions was absolutely insufficient.

Although those material compositions could strengthen Ron's singularity, they wouldn't grant Ron any new abilities; they would only purely enhance Ron's strength.

However, if this stage's bottleneck was broken, it could bring about some fundamental changes to Ron's current abilities.

All the answers lay within Ron's singularity.

Ron had been researching this matter for some time, but unfortunately, he hadn't made any progress.

Continuously researching powerful material compositions in the laboratory wouldn't give Ron the opportunity to break through this stage bottleneck. He needed to go out and observe more to find some inspiration.

The reason Ron came to X-Mansion was also one of the important reasons... "Allow me to introduce you, this is our guest at X-Mansion, Ron, from Empire State University in New York. He will be a temporary substitute teacher at X-Mansion, guiding you in learning some knowledge."

Inside the classroom, Professor X looked at the mutant students in front of him, smiling as he introduced Ron's background and the fact that Ron would be a teacher at X-Mansion.

Ron also smiled, waving to the young mutants in front of him, "Hello everyone, I'm Ron, and my abilities are telepathy and telekinesis."

"Hello, Teacher Ron."

After hearing Professor X's introduction, these young mutants, who deeply trusted Professor X, didn't hesitate at all. Although they were curious why the new teacher was so young, since Professor X said so, they didn't think much of it.

"Ron, these children are in your care. I have some other matters to attend to. See you later." Professor X looked at Ron, gave him an instruction, and then turned and left.

"Understood, Professor, don't worry." Ron nodded, seeing Professor X out of the classroom.

After Professor X left, Ron began to act as a teacher for these young mutants, teaching them very ordinary knowledge: mathematics.

Actually, the reason Ron became a teacher at X-Mansion was at his own request to Professor X.

Ron wanted to understand more about mutant abilities, and using force was definitely not an option.

Therefore, Ron becoming a teacher at X-Mansion was the best choice.

Thanks to Jing Zhonghuarzi for the tip. It's truly not easy; finally, a tip! Thank you, thank you!
