Inside of a two story building in East Borough.
A knife was pointed right to Leon's neck.
"What are the white hounds doing here? We've got no business with you! We talked to Simon already, he doesn't touch our streets we don't touch his."
Jason was watching from the sidelines with his hand already wrapped around the grip. Leon gave him a strange look before looking back at the person who was holding him up.
"You are right, that's not what we are here for. I came here on my own accord. I came here... because I'm in love with you!"
"What did you say?"
Leon used the temporary confusion and snatched the knife away with quick speed and stabbed him right in the neck before kicking his body away. Two others rushed into the room but the knife was already in the air and hit one of them in the head. The other man was stopped by jason who hit his head with a lamp.
There was one problem though, ever since he first brought Morris Byrne to that church and used that swirling sea to gain the Corpse Collector potion his Intuition to see valuable items has worsened. He could see valuable items within 10 meters but now it had gone down to 5 meters.
The whole building exploded in chaos with gun shots being fired left and right. Leon found a revolver left on a desk like a stay puppy and picked it up, he checked the cylinder which was already loaded and took a deep breath.
I can do this...
Bang!
Jason had taken out his own revolver and fired with Leon. When Leon was out of bullets he threw his weapon towards one of the gangsters with the butt of the gun hitting the dude's nose. Leon and jason were inside a two story home belonging to a smaller gang known as the blue Reapers, a copy cat of the reaper gang. The door that led to the stairs was being guarded by two gangsters who were hiding behind the walls. But right at the top of the stairway was a small window.
Leon signaled for Jason to hand the gun, Jason was a little hesitant but gave in and threw the gun to Leon. Leon scaled out the window and slowly parkoured towards the window by the stairway, the gun was tucked into his belt next to a pocket knife.
There was a little space between this house and another building, a space less then a meter. Leon pressed his back against the other building and his feet were pressed at both sides of the window. He pulled out the revolver and took aim.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The the two gangsters were both hit, one was hit on the side and the other was hit on the back.
Bang! Bang!
Leon fired off two more rounds to be sure they were dead and done. Their bodies slouched to the ground with their blood splattered across the wooden floor.
Jason popped out from the corner and stole one of their guns. Leon leaped into the building and stole some bullets from the other man and reloaded the gun.
"Use divination or something!"
Jason shouted and held his revolver tightly. He knew of beyonders but wasn't planning on becoming one himself. Leon took out a gold pound and flipped it. Heads meant positive and tails meant negative.
"Going down the stairs would be dangerous."
Heads!
"Let's not go down right now."
Instead they decided to jump out the window and slide down. They kicked down the door and strolled in firing at the people around.
The entire gun fight lasted only about 5 minutes.
Even though I'm a sequence 9 I'm still above normal humans.
Leon's confidence had grown exponentially ever since he became a beyonder. Only one person was allowed to escape and that person was a street girl.
The building was completely emptied out. Leon wasn't worried about beyonders investigating the scene since this could just be because of the gang war happening in East Borough.
After looting the corpses they made their way outside and jumped into a public carriage. Each mile that the carriage drove cost 1 penny. Pounds were the main unit while soli and pence were subunit. Pounds came in denominations of 1, 5 and 10 while soli came in denominations of 1 and 5.
The gold pound was worth the most while soli ranked 2nd. The penny had George Augustus III engraved into it, a former king that ruled the Loen Kingdom.
The carriage ride went smoothly without anything out of order happening. A few people got inside along the way but no one suspicious.
Jason stepped out of the carriage nearby a newly opened cemetery but Leon just stayed in the carriage and watched Jason walk away. Finally the carriage rolled forwards once again being pulled by the two horses.
Leon had a different destination, a bar where he would apparently meet up with someone who could help him out with getting into a beyonder gathering somewhere in East borough.
The carriage stopped and Leon put on a workers hat before entering the bar that sold lunch. There were many people but none noteworthy except a tiny girl who was about 152 centimeters tall and had messy shoulder length blonde hair. She was talking to some other person with thinned eyebrows and brown hair. She or he looked kind of odd but Leon didn't pay attention.
A dwarf?
Leon surveyed everyone in the bar and landed on his target, a man reading the newspaper while being dressed like a tramp. Patched up and well worn clothing hugged his frail body, he was only 27 yet looked double his age.
Leon sat down beside him and slid 15 soli. The man glanced at the coins and then set the newspaper down, slowly sliding it towards Leon and picking up the soli with his other hand. The tramp stood up and left right after he got his money without saying a single word. Leon calmed down and ordered Lanti Proof which was a sailor's favourite alcohol according to what Arthur told him.
He unfurled the news paper and took a look at the notes scribbled onto it.
The backlund morning post?
There were arrows pointing towards specific numbers in the backlund morning post. These numbers referred to a knocking pass code. This specific beyonder gathering was held at 8pm in the same location, Hillston Borough.
This opens up many new opportunities for me, perfect! But why would a tramp like him have such information.
Another strange occurance just like when he bought ingredients for his sequence 9 Marauder potion.
Maybe someone paid him? I'm not too sure.
He grabbed his glass of Lanti Proof, the moment the drink hit him he stared in confusion.
Other than the cheap price this drink sucks!
Leon shortly went back home after staying at the bar for a around 20 minutes. Back home he went into his bedroom and clasped his hands together, he raised them up above his head and pointed his two thumbs towards his eyes, slowly he pressed the thumbs against his eyes and was transported to the strange church.
This place is kind of underwhelming for a powerful ancient deity like me... let's change it up.
Leon raised his hand and envisioned a grand cathedral befitting the primordial light. A white giant structure standing on a small island in the middle of a chaotic sea, a structure that represented the calm amidst the storm. Beautifully carved columns made from marble lined up the inside of the cathedral. Pews made from dark oak formed out of nowhere and lined up perfectly before Leon.
Beautiful pure white light came from the stained glass windows of which there were about 10 on each side with one giant window behind the sanctuary. On the sanctuary, behind the primordial light was a strange round symbol that seemed to symbolise a sun, darkness, chaos and everything else.
The reason Leon came here wasn't to just change his gathering spot, but to also try something. Each deity had a honorific name, so as a deity he should be able to have one too. Otherwise how could his followers truly pray to him?
