This is just an introductory chapter that explains the most important aspects of the book, but also without giving much away. The main focus are the strange terms, the power system, explanation on ranks and tiers, and how the Mana Reaver System functions as a whole...
♦The Mana Reaver System:
- A more parasitic system than a helpful one, simply. That was what it was built to be. Being a parasite, it needed a Host to survive. A desperate host through which it can channel it's power. To the system, the carrier of the system is just a vessel, the body and soul carrying the system. And the vessel here has absolutely no option but to consume what the system thrives on— mana— else he dies.
To say this simply, the system put its carrier, the MC in so many tight spots that's totally above his control. All operations had been set to default and each decision cannot be rectified. The system must do as its been programmed, giving not the MC much choice. But like a good story, there's always a kink, which won't be mentioned here of course.
And that only can mention how the MC has a journey of his own, and cannot rely on the system to make decisions for him, forever.
♦Mana Consumption
- Human mana: the basic source of energy for the host, sweet, filling and it definitely is what he needs to get stronger. He sucks it up from humans after subduing them (after killing them). Lack of human mana starts a series of irregular symptoms of wild hunger in host, and if host does not consume mana to fill the emptiness...he turns to a beast.
- Beast mana: obtained from beasts and other non-human creatures. Sour and really intoxicating. While human mana fills the Host's hunger, beast mana only drives him really wild for a short time. Beast mana gives host a super boost in stat points, thus enhancing his speed and killing intent, temporarily.
Downside: Beast mana uses up the stored human mana when consumed. Simply put, the human mana serves as a fuel for the host while he's being driven wildly by the beast mana. At this stage, the stored human mana drains three times faster.
♦Status screen:
Mana Consumed: 0/0 (for Tier upgrades. Once full, there's an increase in tier and also an all-round boost in stat points)

Health Point: 0
Energy Point: 0

♦Ranks: they are 7 in total (in order of lowest to highest)
- Mana Slave
- Mana Master
- Mana Lord
- Mana King
- Mana Demon
- Mana God
- [Error 404. Information currently not available for display]
The system won't reveal the 7th rank just yet.
♦ Quirks and Powers
- Elemental abilities
- Telekinesis
- Clairvoyance
- Shadow bending
- Beast taming
- Transmigration
And so many others that will be revealed as the reading goes on.
Note, these powers are not all possessed by the MC. I just hoped listing them here gives a brief peek into the world background and to show that even when the MC obtained those powers from the system, there are others who got them naturally and some through hard work. In a new world where all seems weak, there are many who can stand up to him.
♦ World background
- The first world, a dystopian settlement where everyone lived in seemingly perfect order, but constantly under hidden threats of death. Loose beasts sneak into the colony at inconvenient times, the leaders are laid back and corrupt to stupor and beyond. But the worst threat was how they got everyone's mind in their control at all times.
For population control, an event called The Purge takes place every ten years.
This world however, served as a cultivation site for our MC, and the system exploited a deadly event to host get stronger than he had any right to overnight...before Transmigration.
- The next world is, well, Earth
♦Warning:
This book contains a high amount of violence and gore. Graphic descriptions of blood, dismemberment, and brutal combat are all contained therein. Cannibalistic tones (mana consumption through blood), manipulation by a System that disregards human ethics.
Also, psychological horrors like themes of madness, loss of humanity, and survival instincts shadowing morality.
