Chapter 33 - Chapter 23: Orchard, Village, and the Livestream

After a long drive, Han Yue and her assistants finally arrived at the orchard.

An old man with a sun-weathered face greeted them warmly and escorted them inside. As they walked, he introduced his assistant—a lively woman named Aunt Keke. Before the old man could finish, Aunt Keke took over with cheerful energy, eagerly explaining every corner of the orchard, from fruit trees to soil health. The old man didn't mind at all; he just followed along with a pleased smile, chuckling softly at her enthusiasm.

Along the path, Aunt Keke picked ripe fruits straight from the trees and offered them to Han Yue's group. The fruits were juicy, fragrant, and full of natural sweetness. She explained the growing process, how they avoided chemical pesticides, and emphasized that it was currently peak harvest season.

"If you like them," Aunt Keke beamed, "we can have them processed, packaged, and delivered as soon as possible."

While chatting, she also mentioned the orchard's proximity to several small villages. "We have people raising chickens, ducks, geese, quail, rabbits, and pigs. There's also a slaughterhouse nearby. Plus, the villagers make fruit wines, dried fruits, candies, and other delicacies. That's where I live too," she added with a wink. "If you want to try the local specialties, I can bring you there."

Han Yue's interest was piqued. "Absolutely," she said. "Let's take a tour of the orchard first, then we'll head to the village."

After walking a few more rounds, sampling fruits and chatting about harvest conditions, they returned to the orchard office. Han Yue looked around and then made her decision.

"Let's do 2,000 kilos of each fruit variety you currently have," she said simply. The order was quickly finalized, and the total came to 680,000 yuan. Payment was made on the spot, and the orchard staff promised to pack and deliver everything to the designated warehouse.

Instead of riding with Aunt Keke, Han Yue and her team returned to their own car and followed her vehicle to the nearby village, which was just a 15-minute drive.

Upon arrival, Aunt Keke immediately informed the village chief about Han Yue's visit and purpose—sampling local goods for potential bulk purchase. The chief, thrilled by the opportunity, had his men spread the word. Villagers quickly brought out their specialties: fruit wines, dried fruits, hard candies, air-dried bacon, pickled vegetables, dried mushrooms, wild vegetables, and forest-harvested nuts in heavy sacks.

Han Yue was delighted. The variety, quality, and local spirit moved her deeply.

"I want everything you're willing to sell," she said with a smile. "Please prepare as much as you can within three days. My assistant will return with a truck to collect and pay in full."

Chen nodded, "No problem, Young Master. I'll arrange everything."

He also pulled the village chief aside and said, "Please inform surrounding villages. If they have goods to sell, we'll take them—cash on the spot."

The chief was overjoyed. He even invited them to stay for dinner and celebrate, but Han Yue politely declined, saying they still had one more place to visit.

Before they left, the villagers packed several boxes of their finest treats into Han Yue's car trunk—gifts and samples overflowing with hospitality.

From there, they followed Aunt Keke to the slaughterhouse.

Upon arrival, Aunt Keke called her older brother, who managed the facility. He understood instantly: this wasn't just a casual visit—it was big business. He personally guided them through the facility, showcasing how meat was processed, cleaned, and packaged.

In the office, Han Yue outlined her request: she wanted all meat packaged by cuts, stored in labeled boxes for easy tracking. "I want the labels to clearly state the animal and the specific cut."

Her order shocked the owner:

5,000 slaughtered and processed: chickens, ducks, quail, geese, rabbits

1,000 cows, similarly processed

5,000 fresh eggs from chicken, duck, goose, and quail

500 fertilized eggs each: chicken, duck, goose, and quail

The owner blinked. "That'll take time, Young Master. We'll need at least a week."

Chen suggested, "We can receive them in cold truck batches, for quality control and storage management."

"Perfect," the man said. "That's actually easier for us too. I'll send them in stages."

The grand total came to 1.36 million yuan, which was paid in full.

As they were leaving, Han Yue handed Aunt Keke 20,000 yuan as a thank-you gift for guiding them all afternoon.

Aunt Keke blushed and tried to refuse, but Han Yue waved it off in her usual aloof "young master" fashion. "You've saved us a lot of time and gave us key contacts. It's worth it."

Touched, Aunt Keke promised, "I'll personally check on everything every single day—and message you updates every hour if needed!"

They all laughed.

After bidding her goodbye, the trio headed back toward Long Yi's mansion. The sky was already dimming. Assistant Liu drove while the others rested.

Upon arrival, the old butler, Lao Zhang, was waiting at the door.

"Young Miss," he said, bowing. "Master Long Yi has gone to the next city to visit his grandfather. He may not return tonight."

"That's fine," Han Yue replied. "I'll eat dinner and head up."

Her assistants left, saying they needed to prep for today's and tomorrow's logistics.

"Oh, right," Chen added before leaving, "Tonight, there'll be another round of deliveries. Around 9 p.m., we'll come pick you up again."

"Got it," she nodded with a grin.

After dinner, she went upstairs, bathed, and entered her space. Carrying her baby rabbit, she wandered the still half-empty warehouse, amazed at how vast it was despite the heavy storage she'd done today.

Then she checked the black soil patch. The vegetables were sprouting rapidly—another pleasant surprise.

Feeling accomplished, she left the space and flopped onto her bed, phone in hand.

Scrolling through the trending topics, she chuckled—the top news was still about Jiaojiao's arrest. There were clips of her parents feigning concern.

Her father claimed, "She ran away from home."

Her mother wept and sobbed, "She hasn't come home in two days…"

Online, netizens were furious—and hilarious:

HotPotGod: "Girl didn't run away—she ESCAPED from that horror show!"

PandaTea88: "She deserves an Oscar for staying quiet this long."

SwordBabe: "The parents: Where is my baby? Han Yue: Bye bye, idiots."

Fangirl444: "Who's ready to fund this queen's rebellion?"

MechaMoose: "Next episode when? I'm hooked."

SpicyCactus: "Don't go back to that toxic den! You've got us!!!!"

Feeling warm inside, Han Yue opened a livestream. Within seconds, 900,000 viewers flooded in.

GingerPudding: "AAAAA SHE'S ONLINE!!!"

RabbitLover101: "Han Yue are you okay?? Did they find you???"

CatDad4Life: "Eat something!! You look thin!!"

DumplingMage: "Drop the skincare routine or we riot."

BrokenCompass: "If you ever need to disappear again, I'll drive."

MidnightToast: "Can we donate to a charity?!"

She smiled at the screen. "Yes, I'm safe. Yes, I ate. Don't worry—I already had lawyers confront them two days ago. I plan to cut all ties with them officially. They're just making noise for the cameras."

The chat lit up in support:

YueProtectionSquad: "YESSSS BLOCK THEM AND BLESS US."

SpringOnion97: "You're free now, girl. Fly high."

EmoEggroll: "We'll follow you to the ends of the Earth. 🥹"

Laughing, she added:

"Tomorrow morning, I'll go to the donation agency, and then I'm heading to the school funding program office. I'll be donating materials, food, clothing, and funds to support underprivileged students in the Dragon Kingdom."

The chat exploded in applause emojis, hearts, crying faces, and rainbow sparkles.

She waved to the camera. "Stay tuned, everyone~ Good night!"

After ending the stream, she went downstairs. At exactly 9 p.m., Chen and Liu picked her up again.

This time, all eight warehouses were full once more.

Even Han Yue raised a brow. "You two… worked fast."

Chen smirked. "Since discovering your terrifying efficiency, we decided to stop holding back."

Liu added with a grin, "The takeouts alone filled two warehouses!"

Laughing, Han Yue transferred everything into her space within 10 minutes, then was dropped off at home.

She went to bed, happy and ready for another chaotic, productive day ahead
