After the tense café encounter, Sejal and Ken quietly excused themselves and walked into a nearby furniture store.
On the other hand, Dean and Suzy left the café and headed toward their car in silence.
As soon as they got into the car, Suzy turned toward Dean, her face tight with frustration.
> "Why did you ruin the plan, Dean?
You promised you'd only pretend in front of Sejal."
Dean lowered his head slightly and murmured,
> "I… I couldn't control myself after seeing her again, Suzy.
It's been so long… And I know—she still loves me. I could see it in her eyes.
Something must have happened. Otherwise, she'd never have left me like that."
Suzy sighed, irritated yet calm.
> "Whatever it is, we have to continue the act until the right time.
But Dean, I give you my word—no matter what it takes, I'll help you get Sejal back."
Dean's eyes lit up with a flicker of hope.
He gave a slow, grateful nod in response.
They drove home together—but as always, they lived in separate rooms, in separate worlds.

Days passed.
Suzy took up a part-time job at a convenience store to blend into her new life.
Meanwhile, Ken and Herry both insisted that Sejal shouldn't work during her studies.
But Sejal, driven by her own will, secretly started working part-time at a local store.
---
One quiet afternoon, Sejal was organizing items at the back of the store when suddenly, the bell at the door rang.
She turned and froze in place.
Dean had walked in.
Sejal's heart skipped a beat.
> "Why is Dean here again?
If Ken sees him now... this could become a disaster."
And yet… she couldn't take her eyes off him.
> "Why does he look even more handsome today?
And why did he stop wearing glasses?
He looked so good with them too…"
She was lost in thought when Dean suddenly walked up and gently placed a soft kiss on her forehead.
Shocked, Sejal stepped back and snapped,
> "What kind of indecent behavior is this?!
Do you even realize you're in a public place?"
Dean smiled mischievously and replied,
> "So what? I just kissed my future wife."
Sejal's eyes widened.
> "Whose wife?! You're married to Suzy!
I didn't know you could be this shameless, Dean.
How can someone have such filthy thoughts and still claim they love?!"
Dean didn't say a word.
He just kept staring into Sejal's eyes—with a strange blend of pain and deep, unwavering love.
