Chapter 35 - Craving Blood

I limped, with my blood trailing on the floor behind me. My shattered skin which had started to heal up was pulling apart again, and the pain was burning hot like multiple coals on my skin.

And as my sweat trickled down the open flesh, burning me even more, I bent over, almost screaming in agony.

But I couldn't let out that deep grueling pain. The guards were all around too and I was doing my best to avoid them.

However, it wasn't enough.

Even though the night sky had fallen, they could notice the girl lurking around in the shadows and limping.

"Hey! Who the hell are you?" A sharp voice pierced my ears and I halted.

My breath shook, eyes darting to the side to see five guards approaching.

I closed my eyes, dragging my legs on the floor while I stuttered, "I…I need to get back home."

My face was hidden away from them, belly tucked in so I wouldn't breathe too loudly.

"What is this smell of blood?" They didn't turn away, and instead, they rallied around me.
