Chapter 38 - Leaving The Packs 1

The door flew out of its hinges the minute Ethan's leg collided with it. Chris shot toward the broken door, mouth gaped open in shock.

"What the hell is happening—"

Shawn pushed me into the house while he pointed at Chris, with his eyes narrowed.

"You have to let us in for the night. If not for us, for Davina."

Uriel blinked as he glanced at the approaching guards, "Please."

I swallowed and stared at Chris with moisture pooling in my eyes. He would have thrown the brothers out of the house still, but then he finally relented.

"Get into the back room."

He pushed us toward another door, which led to his bedroom. It was surprisingly clean, compared to the shabby look outside, and as soon as we shut the door while clamping down on our mouths, the guards came knocking.

All we heard was Chris's calm voice while he explained the broken door.
