DAVINA
"Davina!"
I saw my mates swimming atop the waters, with the moon their only guidance. However, diving deeper meant unseen harm for them.
They turned around, diving away from the spot where I had sunk and my heart plummeted.
"I knew it." Seraphine sneered. "Mortals would always save themselves first."
The water had already rushed into my body incredibly and breathing was extremely hard now. Seraphine was the one holding me on, and with the painful knot in my chest, I didn't know how to fight her.
"The minute you get out of here, you should reject them. They are not worthy—"
Boom!
We heard the surface of the water break, three huge wolves had burst into the water, flapping their legs and diving deep.
Their eyes shone in the darkness that shrouded the water and for a moment Seraphine went quiet.
"They really came…" She muttered.
"Of course…" I let out, even though I was almost broken, losing hope, and also afraid that she would force me to reject them.
