It's been 15 years since Bryan reached this world, and every day has been spent discovering new things. He couldn't use any element yet, so he didn't stress with practice; rather, he dedicated his time to gathering information about the world and working out occasionally.
The more he learned about the world, the more fascinated he got. The world, Zenithra, was a world that hosted thousands of gods.
There were thousands of races, but only 9 stood on top.
The dragon race, the masters of magic.
The phoenix race, the masters of rebirth.
Leviathans, serpents of seas.
The angel race. The race that held the most knowledge of the world.
Dwarves, unrivaled in blacksmithing and crafts. Most divine relics came from the dwarven domain.
Titans, the brutes. They were the most durable of all the races.
Vampires, elegant and stylish warriors.
The elf race, gentle and most attuned to nature.
Finally, the humans. They were the most powerful of the top races, crawling from the bottom to the top with their adaptability.
The races all had their domains, and they governed other lesser races who sought refuge with them.
That was not the only thing Bryan had learnt in this world; he also knew why the races were peaceful.
Their planet, Zenithra, was invaded by the Demons roughly 3 thousand years ago.
The races had to stop internal wars to defeat the main one.
The demons, also called abysskins, came from the abyss, a twisted version of the real universe. And their only goal was to destroy the real universe.
At this moment, he was walking the dimly lit hall that shone with a bright light by reflecting on the silver walls.
As he walked through the hall, a voice reached his ear, cutting his thoughts. "Young master Levi," the voice called out.
His new name in this world was Levi, an heir to the Orrin clan.
Levi turned back slowly, his silver eyes meeting the maid's.
The maid bowed gently before speaking. "Master Chron seeks your presence in the main chamber," she said, her head still facing down.
Levi's eyes narrowed as he heard her. Since he reached this world, he has only ever met his dad once, and that was on the day he was born.
Since then, his father never spoke to him. He was always on the battlefield, fighting demon gods.
Levi inhaled slowly before replying. "Okay."
He made a detour and turned to move in the direction of the main chamber.
'He probably wants to talk about my awakening,' he thought as he walked.
'Even I am not sure of the awakening, that being did not give me any cheat, he just tossed me into a world of gods,' he lamented internally. Every day, the first thing he did when he woke up was to call the system, but nothing happened.
As his thoughts went on, he reached the huge silver door.
He lifted his hand to knock, but the door was faster, opening before he moved.
Inside, he saw a man who looked like he was in his 20s waiting eagerly before the door.
The man had silver eyes like him. His white hair curled neatly on his head.
The man appeared before Levi in an instant, pulling Levi into his embrace as his arms wrapped strongly around him.
Levi did not resist; he reciprocated. Then, after a few minutes of hugs, the man finally left him.
"You are big now," the man said to Levi. "The last time I saw you, you could barely open your eyes," the man joked.
Levi smiled in response.
They headed for the golden sofa in a corner of the room.
"Your awakening is in a week," the man said as they sat on the sofa. As he spoke, two cups appeared on the table. One was filled with tea, and the other with wine.
Levi picked the teacup and sipped some before replying.
"Yes, Dad," he said, already thinking of the awakening in seven days.
"Which element do you wish to awaken?" Chron asked.
Hearing the question, Levi dropped his tea onto the table. "I would prefer time," Levi said.
Chron laughed. "You want to be just like me," he said through his laughter.
Levi nodded. He also understood how powerful the time affinity was. Chron was able to rise as one of the most powerful in the human domain with that affinity.
They chatted for a while before Levi finally went to sleep. He was just 15 years old and needed sleep. Unlike his Father, who just continued his cultivation.
Levi entered his room and went for a quick bath. The maid had already prepared the water, and he only needed to bathe. Normally, the maid would have helped him with that, but he refused help. He was still an adult in mind, even if his body was a child's.
As he came out of the bathroom, the mirror captured his reflection fully. His body was looking sturdier than a normal 15-year-old. He looked more like 21 with his biceps and muscles. His hair was split into two halves, white and black.
His face was pale and spotless with a straight jawline.
He walked to his bed and sat on the edge as if waiting for something. Soon, a knock was heard on the door. "Come in, Raven," Levi said.
With a light creak, the door opened. Walking in was a girl with black hair and black eyes in a maid's uniform. She carried a tray with her.
"Good evening, young master Levi," she said as she dropped the tray on the table in front of him.
"Good evening, Raven," Levi replied as he opened the plate.
"Moonfire Stew?" Levi asked, surprised.
"Master Chron asked us to serve you that. He says it will increase your chance of awakening." Raven said quickly.
Levi was surprised. Moonfire stew was something his father rarely made because its ingredients were rare. But Levi accepted it anyway. Since it was beneficial to him, there was no need to reject it.
As he took his first bite of the meat, his face flushed red. It was the most delicious thing he had ever tasted.
Raven stood at the side, observing her master as he ate his meal.
As Levi ate the last bite, Raven quickly picked up the plate and collected the cup he used to drink water before heading out.
Levi slumped into his bed after he let the food digest. He drowsed off easily.
The rest of the days were spent getting closer with his father.
In the blink of an eye, the awakening day arrived.
