The next morning, Levi had already woken up before 5. He quickly took his bath and put on his clothes. He was dressed in a silver shirt that had golden strips on the edges with matching trousers. He picked the Orrin crest from the table and fixed it gently on his chest.
Raven entered, her steps calm and elegant. Too elegant for a maid.
"Good morning, master Levi," she said with a deep bow.
Levi turned to her, then nodded. "Are you ready?"
"Yes, young master Levi, the drifters are prepared."
"Wait outside, I will join you soon," Levi said. Raven bowed, then turned to leave the room.
"System."
[Yes, host]
"One of my draws included a bloodline enhancer, right?" He asked.
[Yes, the host pulled a sacred bloodline enhancer.]
"Is a Primordial bloodline higher than a Sacred bloodline?" He asked.
[The primordial bloodline is the peak of the world. There are only six other ones.]
Levi blinked as he heard the system. "That means in all of reality, there are only 7 primordial bloodlines?" He asked the system with furrowed brows.
He placed his palm on his head, a headache already forming. It was not because of how rare the primordial bloodlines were, but because he could not help but think of the problem always associated with 7 in novels and anime.
"I would deal with those when it is time," he said, his attention already returning to the system.
"How high is the sacred bloodline?"
[It is two levels above the divine tier and a level below the Primordial tier.]
"It is getting more difficult to understand this," Levi sighed. "Just list the tiers from divine to primordial."
[Divine, Immortal, Sacred, and Primordial.]
"Ohh, that's much easier," Levi said. "But wait, you gave me a sacred bloodline enhancer, just one level below the absolute peak," Levi's eyes widened in realization. "Why does the system want to spoil me?"
He checked the inventory and brought out the golden vial with a crown-like cover.
With a light tug, he pulled it open. A sweet fragrance was released into the air, making Levi drool.
Without waiting, he downed the golden liquid.
The vial disappeared as it was emptied of its contents. Levi, on the other hand, looked at his body with surprise.
A golden sheen covered his body, then his eyes glowed brightly with an aurora light before it vanished.
[Eyes of Orrin(Sacred):
Omniscient Vision: Sees all possible outcomes in a span of 10 seconds.
Eyes of truth: Sees through all illusion and lies.
Ocular dominion(Passive): Locking eyes with weak-willed beings makes them feel fear and reverence for you.
Levi had gone numb with surprises. He was sure that nothing could surprise him again.
How did his bloodline, Eyes of Orrin, improve from ordinary 3-second foresight to something this overpowered?
That was a question that he did not know the answer to, and he did not need the answer.
He looked at the door and made up his mind to go as the thought of using a drifter excited him.
Drifters, according to the terms from Earth, were cars. But in Zenithra, where technology was still in its early stages of development, how did they create something like drifters?
The answer was cracks. Some civilizations had a focus on technology.
The natives of Zenithra would bring back people like that or just take some of their products and sell them for profit.
While he thought of drifters, he had already reached the door.
The door clicked open as he stepped out. Raven bowed before following behind him.
Levi took in the sight of the drifter, a flicker of amusement flashing in his eyes. The drifter hovered above the ground. A soft hum was constantly released from its engine.
Raven opened the door for Levi to enter. She walked back, looking at the drifters zoom off under the guidance of several others.
In the car, Levi zoned off, his hands tapping on his lap constantly like he was in a thought. The journey to the Academy was going to take 3 hours, and all he could do was nothing.
He only looked at the several roads they passed. Some places were floating like gravity did not have any command over them.
Some stretched endlessly into the sky, easily dwarfing Mount Everest from his previous Earth.
Levi had read about most of these things before, so he understood them quite well.
Soon, the 3-hour-long journey came to a halt as the drifters reached a huge golden gate. The gate was huge and imposing, with several runes and sigils.
Two armored guards stood there, monitoring all the drifters that entered. Soon, it was the Orrin clan's drifters. Seeing the crest that was hung on the drifters, they did not bother to stop it. They bowed, letting them drive in.
They reached the examination building smoothly. The guards in the other drifters filed out neatly, one of them opening the door to let Levi come out.
The onlookers stared at the extravagance of the Orrin clan. Most of them looked with jealousy, some with fear.
But some didn't even spare them a glance.
Levi came out of the drifter, his steps calm and measured. He walked towards the building carrying an air of authority around him.
His eyes constantly moved between the several races. Although he hid it, excitement was bubbling in his chest. There was another thing he noticed: all the races were in humanoid form, just their features were different.
The dragons had two horns protruding from its head and a tail. The phoenixes had red ember wings on its back, while Leviathans had scales.
This was because of the school's policy, since there were more humanoid races than beasts.
As Levi entered the hall, the Orrin clan guards moved back into their drifters and zoomed off. The hall was off limit to non-students, and even the guards of the Orrin clan would not be spared for tresspassing.
The hall was quiet. Levi found a seat to stay, his eyes closed as he waited for the orientation. After 30 minutes had passed. the door slammed shut and a man appeared high above.
The man looked at them with a gentle gaze before he spoke.
"To qualify for the Imperial Academy, there is just one requirement, get into the top 250 in the assessment." As he spoke, murmurs rippled among the students.
There was only one exam in the academy, and that was killing beasts in a beast crack to earn points.
"Good luck," the man said, waving his palm gently.
Instantly, all the students felt their bodies fall. Their eyes opened again, but this time, they were in a large field.
