Chapter 11 - RULES

Levi's joy was stopped as a portal appeared before him.

"The return gate finally appeared," he muttered, his eyes scanning the portal carefully.

He sent the injured wolf to the inventory before entering the portal.

A shimmer of blue light washed over him, forcing him to close his eyes.

When he opened them again, he was back in the hall.

However, the number of people there had now significantly thinned out. At a glance, it seemed that the millions of students had been reduced by over 90 percent.

Levi's observation was cut as a cold but gentle voice rang through the hall. "Congratulations to those of you who passed the assessment," the voice said as the previous man was revealed fully.

Earlier, they couldn't see him since he was covered in the shadows. But now, they saw him perfectly.

His white hair was neatly packed, complementing his sharp jawline. His blue eyes shone with an otherworldly light. He floated above the platform like gravity had no control over him.

"The academy is where you will spend the next years of your life. You will be shaped to be warriors of our home world, Zenithra," he spoke with unwavering vigor.

"The academy is not for toddlers; you must be prepared to face risk, even death, is not far from you."

At the mention of death, most students flinched. But they did not leave. There were two reasons.

Anyone who could make it into the top 20 among all the new awakeners of the planet was definitely not a coward, and there was the man.

It was certain that he would kill anyone who tried to leave, even before they faced a true demon.

The orientation continued for over 3 hours, with most of them educating the students about the demons and the world.

Unlike Levi, who was from a noble clan and had access to a wealth of information, there were some people who only knew there were some beings called demons, nothing more, nothing less. It was also the reason the academy never held a written exam until the next year.

"In the academy, you will constantly go on dangerous missions. True warriors are forged from blood and sweat," he said, his voice going higher.

The students once again were shocked. But before they could process the word, the man continued. "But that does not mean you will do things freely. For every completed mission, you will gain points depending on the mission difficulty," he said with a slight smile.

"In the academy, points are the only usable currency. Zeniths can't be used here."

He rambled about the academy rules after, before finally releasing the students.

"Class starts next week," he said, waving his hand calmly before he disappeared from everyone's view.

The students were stunned by what happened. Not the man disappearing, but the fact that bands appeared on their hands.

Black bands with blue stripes and a screen. They felt a needle prick on their skin, then the screen lit up with a bright white light, before displaying a screen.

Welcome, master Levi

Levi looked stunned as he heard the words directly in his mind. "Are you the band?" He could not help but ask with a whisper.

Yes, I am communicating directly in your mind, and you can do the same.

Levi was stunned, but he continued. 'What are you?'

Your assistant and accountant, the sound came.

"The academy is so generous, even giving us something like this," he muttered, already making his way to the door. 'So do you know the way to my dorm?' he asked with a thought, remembering there was no information provided about their dorms.

Give me a few seconds

Levi continued strolling towards the dormitory area.

You have a standalone mansion on the left wing, the band said after a while.

Levi nodded, turning towards the left.

'So, how many points?'

20,000 Points.

'That much?' Levi said with furrowed brows.

The result here says you got first place, which gives 5000 points, then an extra 15,000 for the extra exam.

'Wait, you are saying the wolf was not part of the exam?' He asked calmly. Before the system could reply, he spoke. 'Well, at least I got a sacred level pet,' he said with a smirk.

While Levi was busy talking with the band, he did not know that several people were already talking about him.

In the hall, 3 people stood together, discussing something.

They were all from the great beast clan, the dragons, phoenixes, and leviathans.

Among them, there were 1 female dragon, 1 male phoenix, and a leviathan.

They were all discussing the person who got first place, Levi Orrin.

They found it surprising that a human was able to get first place in the academy since they were known as late bloomers who only used their potential fully at later stages.

"Selora, what do you think about this?" The phoenix asked, a smirk forming on his lips.

Selora, a dragon stared back with a serene and calm face. "I would crush him in the academy, Caelen," she replied with a slow and gentle tone.

"You couldn't do it now, how are you sure you would do it later?" The leviathan asked with a smug face.

"Hey, Vorin, don't make it harder for her," Caelen said.

"If she says it, she can do it. We should worry more about her sister," he said.

Selora looked at both of them. "Don't worry, I have Selene under control."

"Our plans must not be ruined, not even by my righteous sister," Selora said gently, already excusing herself from the other two.

Caelen stared at her retreating figure, speechless. "She left just like that, not even goodbyes," he muttered, turning to look at Vorin.

"Huh! You too" he screamed as he saw no one. "These bastards, always trying to look cool," he muttered with a face palm before he finally left the place.

Alone, walking slowly but elegantly was a young dragon with crimson hair packed in twin pony tails.

Her eyes were hazel and alluring, drawing the gasp of everyone that looked at her.

Her eyes were on Levi for a while, before she walked off.

Levi felt the stare, but did not bother. If anyone had a grudge against him, they should settle it with a duel.
