Levi had spent 2 hours solely on exploring, but it was not in vain. He discovered that the Wanderers were all humanoid, and depending on their strength, he could converse with them.
He also figured out that the treasures the system meant were not really treasures since he would pick something up almost every 10 minutes. Everything he took was kept in the system's inventory for later use. Most were plants that increased cultivation, some ores, and finally, he took the daggers he had just picked from the floor.
They were both carved with intricate designs, and runes adorned every part of them. "I have explored enough; I need to work on my affinities, especially the nanites."
He had references when it came to time, thanks to his father. However, the Nanite affinity was a different case, as no one in the estate had it.
Then he returned the daggers to the inventory.
He went towards a nearby rock, focusing on his mana. His eyes were tightly shut as mana flowed into the nanite sigil that appeared on the back of his palm.
With a thought, grey mist began spewing from his pores. "Nanites' core is to reshape and devour at the molecular level," he muttered as he willed the nanites in the atmosphere.
Instantly, his arm was wrapped in the gray mist. It did not stop there; it continued to elongate till it formed a sharp blade that covered his arm.
Levi moved his hand, turning it back and forth to see the nanites that covered it.
The nanites were tightly knit together, giving them a smooth and sharp appearance.
With a swing, the rock was cleaved in half. No resistance.
"It is truly worthy of being the strongest affinity in the peak tier," Levi said with wide eyes.
As a person from Earth, he still found it amusing to do something like this.
The nanites dissolved, immediately reforming into a huge hammer in Levi's hand.
The nanites continued to reform into different shapes that Levi willed them to.
Then an idea sparked in his mind. 'What if I try fusing time and nanites?' The thought couldn't help but come.
He was a very curious person, and he immediately tried it.
[Fusing time and nanites is currently beyond the host's level.]
As he tried it, the system sent an alert almost instantly.
A smile formed on his lips. "Well, there was never going to be fun if I was too overpowered," he muttered.
"I would get back to practicing; now I should cultivate."
As he spoke, all the plants he had gathered were pushed out of the inventory, piling neatly in front of him.
He sat gently on one of the half rocks as he stared at the plants.
"Devour," he called out, his hands hovering over the plants. A tiny dot appeared on his palm, then expanded outward, swallowing the plants in an instant.
Energy surged through his body in a rush, filling every pore and making his sigils glow brighter.
Then in a flash, his body returned to normal. Levi examined his body, trying to discern his current tier. His eyes were opened wide as he discovered his tier. "Stage 9 of the mortal tier," he muttered.
This was an insane leap. In just two minutes, he reached stage 9 of the mortal tier, just one step away from the next tier.
Even if the plants were used to make elixirs, the impurities would have weakened their effects, at most allowing him to reach the fifth stage.
"Devour takes all its essence," he said with realization.
"I have six months in the real world, which gives me three and a half months here," he said slowly, trying to think of how to make it easier. "I will gather and devour plants for 2 years, then the remaining would be dedicated to training my weapon and elemental mastery."
Since he could divide his thoughts into ten thousand, he could practice the application of both weapons and elements even while gathering. He only needed time to use it physically.
Levi stood up from the rock, his mind already fixed on his next step.
2 years had passed since Levi got into the pocket dimension, and he had advanced really fast.
He stood tall, his eyes sharp and calm. Years of silence and loneliness had made his eyes turn cold.
Piles of plants created a dome around him. Inside the dome and in front of him were other plants. Unlike the weak glow of the other plants, they glowed brightly.
"So this was what the system meant when it said treasures," he said, his expression unshaken.
Unlike the other plants, these were far more rare and required much more effort to secure. With a thought, he activated devour. Energy coursed through every cell as he felt energized again.
"Stage 2 of the adept tier," he said, flexing his muscles. "To think that just six plants were able to elevate me from stage 7 initiate."
Then he used devour on the rest of the plants. In the blink of an eye, they all disappeared.
Levi, on the other hand, felt stronger. He had increased by two minor stages.
He did not wait to celebrate; he moved to the next training immediately. Using all the things he had learnt mentally, he knew what to do.
Nanites swarmed out, stitching together mid-air till they formed a sword. Levi grabbed the sword, his hands twisting slowly as he cleaved down with force.
As the sword connected with the floor, an earthquake erupted, shaking over a 20-meter radius around Levi.
In the real world, 4 months had passed, and in these 4 months, Raven had witnessed Levi's terrifying cultivation speed.
He reached the adept tier in just 4 months. That was not genius, even monsters could not compare.
She had heard of people reaching tier 7 of the initiate realm within that time frame, thanks to their family resources. But never had she heard of one reaching the adept rank. No... She had never even considered it a possibility because it was too ridiculous.
But here she was, seeing her master do the impossible.
