Even so, the Supreme Kai and Kibito both thought it wasn't a bad thing to obtain the Z Sword.
Kibito instinctively reached out to receive it.
But the instant his hands touched the blade, he felt as though the weight of an entire planet had crashed down onto his arms.
Kibito's eyes went wide. "???"
What was happening? Why was it so heavy?! Shocked, he quickly withdrew his hands.
"Clang!"
The Z Sword smashed into the ground of the Sacred World of the Kai, carving out a deep crater.
"Kibito!" The Supreme Kai frowned, displeased.
Why did you just throw the sword away? That's too much!
Kibito, looking utterly wronged, hurried forward and tried again to lift the blade. But no matter how hard he struggled, he couldn't budge it.
"Can't pick it up?" Broly walked over and looked at him.
Cold sweat poured down Kibito's face as he reluctantly nodded.
"Clink."
Broly casually lifted the Z Sword with one hand and held it out toward Kibito.
Kibito: "..."
He didn't dare take it. It was far too heavy.
"Hold it," Broly said flatly.
"Kibito, what's the matter with you? If he tells you to take it, then take it. This sword… it's heavy?" the Supreme Kai asked curiously.
Kibito silently wiped his sweat. This wasn't just heavy—it was unbearably heavy. If he forced himself, his back would give out.
"You hold it," Broly smirked mischievously, tossing the sword toward the Supreme Kai.
Without hesitation, the Supreme Kai stretched out his hand.
"Be careful, Supreme Kai! This sword is unbelievably heavy!" Kibito blurted in warning.
"How heavy can it be?" The Supreme Kai shot him a dismissive look as his hand gripped the hilt.
And then, at once, he too felt as if the crushing weight of a planet was pressing him down.
He quickly let go, but even so, the Z Sword nearly dragged him flat on his face.
It crashed deep into the ground again.
Broly grinned in satisfaction.
"Let's go," Ken said, beckoning to Merus.
Merus: "..."
A brief silence.
"Let's wait a bit longer…" Merus muttered.
Ken: "..."
"But wait—are we just leaving the Z Sword stuck here?" Merus suddenly asked.
"You mean… we should make a scabbard for it?" Ken mused.
Merus turned and walked away wordlessly. Was that what I meant? Talking to you is hazardous to my health.
Ken said nothing more and flew off toward the spaceship.
"Wait." Broly spoke up.
Ken slowly stopped.
The little guy actually had his own thoughts now. He even knew to say "wait"? Not bad. Under my guidance, he's grown quite a bit.
Merus also stopped, turning back with a puzzled look. What was he up to?
"Fight back!" Broly roared as green ki flames surged around his body.
Merus: "..."
"Go easy on him," Ken ordered.
"Heh heh!" Broly grinned, flashing white teeth.
In the next instant, he shot forward as a streak of green light, rushing straight at the Supreme Kai.
"What?" The Supreme Kai's face changed.
In that critical moment, his reflexes were quick—his eyes flared with divine power, enveloping Broly's body in godly restraint.
Broly staggered for just a moment.
Then nothing.
He chuckled again, his laugh carrying a wicked edge.
"What?" The Supreme Kai's lips twitched, his expression darkening.
"Boom!"
Broly's fist slammed toward him.
The Supreme Kai hurriedly raised his arm to block.
The next moment, fist and arm collided.
"Augh!"
The Supreme Kai screamed as his arm twisted grotesquely out of shape.
"Clap!"
Broly grabbed his forehead with one hand and drove him downward, slamming him toward the ground.
Kibito trembled violently, not daring to help.
Before, when this kid wasn't even transformed, I couldn't match him. Now that he's powered up, I'd be crazy to interfere. And besides, he isn't even going all out. When he fought me, I only got a few scratches—otherwise, I'd have been killed instantly.
"Boom!"
Broly smashed the Kai's head into the ground, leaving a crater.
Then he ground his head around inside the pit, doubling its size.
"Bam!"
A light punch followed, hurling the Supreme Kai's body down into the hole.
"This is fun, this is fun!" Broly cheered, clapping his hands and laughing loudly.
Ken: "..."
Why do I feel like you're starting to resemble Majin Buu?
Merus said nothing, his face twisted in silent pain.
Broly laughed and laughed, until suddenly his gaze turned toward Kibito.
Kibito quickly averted his eyes, pretending to admire the white clouds above. "The sky is so beautiful today…"
"Look at me," Broly said.
Kibito ignored him, keeping his eyes on the clouds.
Without another word, Broly started walking toward the Z Sword.
Kibito: "..."
He noticed instantly, panic flashing across his face.
Why are you going for a weapon?! You're already terrifying without one!
"Broly, was that you calling me just now?" Kibito blurted.
Broly stopped and turned, staring at him silently.
A chill ran down Kibito's spine.
After a tense pause, he suddenly leapt into the crater where the Supreme Kai lay battered.
"This is fun," Broly clapped again, ecstatic.
Merus buried his face in his hand, lost for words.
"See? A grudge should be settled right away." Ken patted Broly's shoulder, praising him.
Merus nearly groaned aloud.
How in the world did you cultivate angelic power with a mindset like this? No wonder your angel power purity is stuck. With your mentality, it's a miracle you've gotten this far.
A dignified Supreme Kai, reduced to being toyed with by your underling.
And yet… why does it feel oddly satisfying?
Maybe because he was disrespectful to Whis earlier?
Whatever. Doesn't matter. He's already beaten down, and Broly didn't go overboard—just surface wounds.
Well… aside from the fractured arm.
Luckily, Kibito had healing powers. That would be no problem at all.
