Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: Loki Has Gone Mad!

Loki was on the verge of madness.

"Loki, it's all right… I don't blame you."

"Take care of yourself in the future… cough!"

"Loki… I love you forever."

Frigga looked at him with gentle, warm eyes. She raised her hand and softly touched his cheek, and in her gaze could be seen hesitation, sorrow, and forgiveness.

"Mother!"

"No!"

"It's not true!"

"You are the queen of Asgard!"

"How can you die so easily? I don't believe it! I won't accept it!"

"I'll take you to Father! He will surely save you!"

Loki spoke through tears. His eyes were red, and in his chest he felt everything collapsing. He was ready to lift Frigga and carry her to Odin, but she stopped him with a trembling hand.

"This is how fate has decreed, Loki… farewell."

Her hand fell limply to the ground.

Frigga exhaled her last breath.

"Mother!"

"No!"

"NO!!"

Loki's scream shattered the silence. He lifted his head toward the sky, and from his throat came a cry of agony. At that very moment, snow began to fall. Icy flakes descended upon his face as his heart broke within him.

On the balcony, silence reigned.

Frigga, the real Frigga, who stood beside Odin and the Ancient One, watched the scene and could not stop her tears.

It turned out Loki's coldness was only a mask. Deep inside, he still loved his mother more than anything.

"Poor child… Loki…" Frigga sobbed.

Odin gently embraced his wife. Even his heart was moved by this sight.

The Ancient One stood aside, twitching at the face. She could not believe how convincing Alaric's creation of magic appeared.

This child really knows how to play! But… isn't he afraid Odin will think this is going too far?

"I will stop them," the Ancient One finally sighed.

"Wait!" Frigga pulled her by the hand. "I want to watch a little longer."

Odin and the Ancient One looked at her in confusion.

What?! Your son is screaming in pain, and you… want to watch it to the end?

On the battlefield, Alaric suddenly appeared.

"Loki… you… you really killed the queen?!" he said, looking at the scene before him in shock.

Loki raised his head with trembling hands. His eyes, full of hatred and tears, fixed on Alaric.

"You!"

"All of this is your fault!!"

"I'll kill you!!"

In a rage he had never shown before, Loki charged at Alaric. His speed was unbelievable, his heart burning with pain and vengeance.

"You can't kill me!" shouted Alaric, retreating. "I am the Ancient One's disciple! If you kill me, Odin will never forgive you!"

The Ancient One and Odin, watching from the balcony, were both struck speechless.

As if his legs had failed him from fear, Alaric stood motionless, allowing Loki to drive the dagger into his chest.

"Die!" Loki embraced him with his left arm, while with his right he twisted the dagger even deeper.

"Loki… you… why?"

But the voice that came out was not Alaric's, it was deeper, stronger, filled with magnetism.

"Th… Thor?!" Loki was startled, his face turning pale as he looked at the figure before him.

"Loki, what have you done!!" Thor thundered, trying to step forward, but the wound in his chest brought him to his knees.

"No… it's not true! It's all false!! You are Alaric!!" Loki muttered, retreating step by step.

"How is it possible that Alaric looks the same as Thor? Has he seen him?" Frigga asked softly, confused.

"No, this is his first time in Asgard." The Ancient One shook her head.

"Then what?"

"Perhaps he saw him through his all-seeing eyes. That is the only possible explanation."

"Loki! Asgard will one day be yours!" Thor, gathering his last strength, spoke his final words and collapsed, lifeless.

"Thor!! No!!" Loki screamed, his voice tearing through the air.

Snowflakes falling from the sky struck his face, and he no longer knew whether he was seeing reality or illusion. If it was all a lie, why did it hurt? If it was the truth, why did his heart refuse to believe?

"Wooo!"

"The two of them… their brotherly bond is truly deep." Frigga wept again.

The Ancient One and Odin remained silent.

Indeed, Frigga's heart was truly black!!

She was addicted to watching the show!

Even now, while crying, Frigga could not take her eyes away.

"Loki, you have just killed both your mother and your brother!!" Alaric appeared again, his words echoing through the space.

The Ancient One and Odin involuntarily twitched at their faces.

"Lie! This is all deception!" Loki raged. "You are all against me!"

"What lie? I just arrived," Alaric replied calmly.

"You just arrived? Where were you a moment ago?!" Loki subconsciously asked.

"I ate too much, and my stomach hurt. I had to go to Earth to the toilet," said Alaric, deadpan.

The Ancient One was silent, hardly believing someone could speak so indifferently. Odin only looked away, Asgard has countless chambers and halls, but Alaric had to go all the way to Midgard for the toilet?

"You're lying! Impossible! I clearly killed you, that couldn't have been Thor! He hasn't even returned to Asgard!!" Loki hissed, desperately trying to justify himself.

"You are the one who killed Thor, and now you're trying to accuse me," Alaric replied sharply.

"If I kill you, I will prove that all this is an illusion!!" Loki raged, stepping forward.

"Then come!" Alaric challenged him defiantly. "Come and kill me! If you don't dare, then you are nothing but a puppy!!"
