First Day Into It
Virgil gets to school excited about meeting Anna, he's a 17
year old college student in his 6 th year while Anna was just a year
younger, 16 years old and in her 5 th year. She had trouble for
classmates and Virgil never really bothered with them although
some times he did get offended by them and other times he let
what they said weigh him down.
Nonetheless he tried to stay confident not to look weak in
front of Anna, through out the day was trouble most atimes he
and Anna would take out their time to find a quiet spot and just
talk, tell jokes and laugh.
Anna would eventually come to his class and sit with him
and chat with his classmates who didn't see anything wrong with
their relationship actually enjoyed her company. They were all
chatting about some of the teachers in the school.
And how weird they were, her class was fond of naming
teachers and a vast percentage of teachers who had been
nicknamed, were given that name by the 5 th year students. Names
ranging from physical objects to native dialect names anything
just for fun apparently.
It had been a long day and it was P.E period, the whole
school became rowdy with excitement and energy to put in
practice everyone locating their respective sports areas, those for
soccer went to play soccer, volleyball in the same manner along
with other activities going on at that moment.
Meanwhile, Virgil and Anna didn't attend P.E but just sat
together in a nearby classroom the looked over the P.E area while
observing all that happened through the window, the table was
behind the window a bit so they had a view but they were invisible
from the P.E area.Anna sat on his laps and wrapped herself around him, she
was resting and he took the time to take care of her, gently
stroking her hair and his other arm returning around her to keep
her close. He gently whispered to her "You asleep?.."
Simply chuckling with a quiet response "No.." she had fallen
ill later that day so she was unable to attend P.E so there they
were, two lovebirds doing their own thing. Anna asked him what
exactly it was he liked about her, the suddenness of the question
sent his heartbeat through his whole body like a pulse startling
even her.
Looking abruptly at Virgil who was now somehow fully
focused on the sports activities going on while trying to calm his
heart down, she rests her head on his chest and his heart rate
had slowed down, he tells her not to worry he was just startled by
the question that's all.
His face a little pale from shock he almost looked like a
statue, she's still waiting for his answer, ordinarily if anything
shocked him with a question from out of the blue eh would need
to think it over first but this didn't need thinking over because he
felt like those reasons had been burned into his soul.
"Well… you're strong, you're basically the only girl in your
class and you handle all those boys well, funny enough I'd call you
their mother.." a sarcastic tone at the end that made Anna laugh a
bit she could tell he was being sincere due to how calm his heart
became.
The air around them began swirling softly, a gentle breeze
pushed into the classroom and the silence that was had begun
roping the two in a countenance of clarity so soft it felt like
resting on cotton and an atmosphere of security, Anna
subconsciously wrapped her arms around him tighter.
"You're smart, funny, always cheerful… I know you have your
struggles but despite all that you still always look as calm and
still as a springs river…. you carry yourself with grace but vigor at
the same time, telling everyone around you not to cross…....there are a lot of things that make you special but the
most of all those things is the fact that you have a caring heart to
look after everyone around you, even those you say you wouldn't
help…. you still take pity and care and think about them"
Anna sat quietly listening to all he was telling her and
wondering just how long he had been watching her to give such
details into the things he sees about her, or better still… how long
he has had these feelings to be so sincere and not miss a single
word.
The room fell silent for a while, she knew he was true
saying his piece and for some reason she felt like she had just
been carefully dipped into the ocean and the cool wave washed
through her but only through her heart.
She had been with guys and she'd heard things but this
things for some reason hit differently for her and she found
herself falling in love with this guy, going against what she told
herself that day. ".....I'll just accept his feelings and when he gets
tired of this, he'll leave on his own accord"
But here she was falling for Virgil, her stomach swirling the
feeling of lots of butterflies sending her brainwaves into chaos
she could no longer think straight, only finding herself thinking of
how much she wanted this guy, her heart began pounding rapidly
like it would soon bore a hole in her chest as fly out. Sitting over
his laps sideways she soon finds her body moving of it's own
accord.
