His First Time
Mildly calm and cloudy yet sunny afternoon, De Vine
Technical College after classes had ended for the day but the
school environment was still teeming with energy with students
littered here and there. Virgil finally finds the courage to tell Anna
how he felt about her.
He walk up to her and asks for a bit of her time, he's silently
trembling, his heart racing almost like it would finish out of his
mouth and both are finally alone he couldn't muster up words fast
enough to fill the silence that filled the air.
"Well, you wanted to talk to me….." said Anna, who now had a
this dude is wasting my time look on her face Virgil immediately
began spouting rubbish while mincing words and stammering all
at once like some toddler trying to speed read an article.
"If you have something to say, say it!…" Anna clearly told him
she had other things to do with that commanding tone which
instantly shapened him up and helped him calm down. Taking a
quick breather and looking her dead in the eyes, frightening her
ever so slightly he opens his mouth and reasonable words finally
come out.
"I like you Anna…. c-could you b-be my girlfriend?...."
She wasn't at a loss for words, although she didn't know
this at the beginning but his current behavior after asking her to
see him already gave him away, not too surprised but all the
same happy that someone would look at her that especially
someone who was not very popular but was a name at their
school.
"Was that a hard thing to say…? Virgil" trying to catch his
eyes while he tried looking away, she places both palms on hisface and turns his gaze to her with a pleasant, simple smile
spread across her face. He could tell that was a yes and was at a
loss of words subconsciously turning bright red from excitement
and happiness.
Both return while Virgil left her to take care of some things
he returns, and till they all departed he had her hands in his. The
young boy gets home and was hyper active, filled with enough
energy to move a mountain. His little sister wasn't in on what had
happened but she could tell exactly what got him up and active.
His long kept love has finally been responded in kind, he just
kept blabbing about how he felt when he thought of making that
move, how stupid he looked in front of her and how he felt after
she accepted his feelings up till the point they were speaking.
Only with chuckles and laughs did his sister shake her head
with approval in her eyes and a few words to say to respond to
what sort of a love struck idiot he was looking like.
"I guess that's where love gets you.... Now you finally have
a girlfriend, and your at that"
