Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: The Shadow Moves

Opening

Arriving in Valiscar, the grand city of Fate Watchers, Ael and Lyra are summoned to the Fate Council.

To prove themselves, they must undergo the "Mirror of Fate," which reveals one's true destiny.

---

Main Event

When Ael touches the mirror, instead of fate threads, it reflects a Blank Page—dragged by a black hand.

The council panics. Never has there been a case of "fate erased into nothingness."

---

The Enemy Appears

Suddenly, shadows tear through the chamber—a manifestation of Umbra himself.

Umbra declares:

> "This boy's fate does not belong to your world. It belongs to me."

He summons Shadow Fates, turning the trial into a battlefield.

---

Battle

Ael erases fate lines, each strike draining his mind with searing pain.

Lyra uses Reflection Link to foresee the shadows' moves and guide him.

Umbra laughs: "This is only a fragment of me. How long can you last?"

---

Climax

Umbra offers the council a deal: Surrender the boy, and your world will remain untouched.

Some council members consider it.

Ael roars: "Then hear me—if the world abandons me, I'll tear its fate apart with my own hands!"

He erases a massive fate line, shattering Umbra's projection.

---

Ending Hook

The council brands Ael as a "Forbidden Fate Eraser."

Umbra vanishes, but his voice lingers:

"Good… The more you erase, the closer I come to rebirth."
