"The flower..." I trail off as I stare down at it.
"It suits you." Naraku's voice rang out through my head, causing me to pick it up, but then I shook my head. "He was the one who saved me, would he really hurt me like that? No, I won't take the chance of being tortured." I think as I stick the flower into my Kimono and take off running once again until I finally make it out a door leading to the courtyard, but then it hits me.
"Kohaku..." I trail off, but then put on a determined expression. "No, I can't leave that poor boy here." I think as I rush towards the part of the castle where Kohaku resides.
"Kohaku!" I shout as I enter the building and then hear some blankets rustle to see Kohaku sitting up and looking over towards me.
"(Y/N), what's wrong?" Kohaku asks, causing me to rush over to him.
"Grab you're stuff, Kohaku," I answer, causing his eyes to widen.
"Why?" Kohaku questions as he gets up from his bed.
"We're leaving now," I respond, but he then grabs my hand, and once he sees I'm shaking, he puts on a worried expression.
"What happened? You're shaking." Kohaku points out, causing me to turn to him and then look down, but then I shake my head.
"I won't... I won't let myself or you be tortured like that!" I declare, causing Kohaku to put on a vacant expression as if he switched personalities.
"So you did see," Kohaku states, causing a chill to rush down my spine as I let go of him. "Is he... Is he being controlled? It has to be Naraku!" I think as I step back from Kohaku, who looked exactly like the first time I saw him, with dead eyes as if he were a puppet.
"I'm sorry, Kohaku." I apologize as I chop him in the neck, causing him to drop unconscious. "Naraku's a demon, of course, he would be able to possess someone... Damn it!" I think as I rush out of the building and out of the castle as fast as I can.
"Kohaku, please stay safe." I plead as tears begin to form in my eyes, and I don't stop running even after exiting the castle.
(To Naraku's POV)
"(Y/N)..." I trail off as I watch her flee my castle, which causes me to clench my fist. "She fled... Did my quarrel with Kagura frighten her?" I wonder as I grit my teeth with an angry expression.
"KAGURA!" I call out, causing Kagura to appear through the curtains with an annoyed expression.
"What?" Kagura asks, full of irritatio,n causing me to glare up at her.
"With the blows that you received from Tessaiga, I was able to comprehend the power of Inuyasha's sword. Go forth now, Kagura. You're sister Kana has already been dispatched." I explain, causing Kagura to turn, and she goes to walk out.
"Also, (Y/N) has escaped," I inform, causing Kagura to look back at me.
"If you see her, Kagura... Bring her back." I instruct, which makes Kagura walk out of my room.
(To (Y/N)'s POV)
"W-where... Am I?" I ask as I look around to see I'm walking in a marsh, seeing as I ran all night long. "I'm so exhausted-" I fall unconscious into the marshy water.
"Oh my. Are you alright?" A girl's voice questions, causing my eyes to flutter open as I'm then lifted out of the water.
"We have found Koharu!" I hear a man's voice call out, causing me to put on a confused expression.
"What is-" I was interrupted by a hand, causing me to look over to see a young girl with her finger to her lips as she helped me to my knees with a rather stressed expression. "What did I just get myself into now?" I wonder as I begin to hear what sounds like fighting, causing me to look over to see several men and a woman.
"What manner of being are you, wench?" One of the men who was sitting in the water asks as she picks up her large weapon.
"That's exactly what I would ask. You seemed to be no more than ordinary men." The familiar woman answers. "Why do I feel as if I know her?" I wonder as I narrow my eyes at her.
"She is not Koharu, my lord." The man sitting in the water informs, while I to look over to see the injured man on the horse staring intently at the woman.
"Such beauty, bring her with us." The man's order, which causes my skin to crawl. "What a nasty pervert!?" I think as the 3 other man begin readying their weapons.
"Yes, sire." They chorused, causing me to shake my head, but the girl's expression caught my eye. "Wait, is she the one those pigs are really after?" I wonder as the girl jumps up and goes to rush over to the woman, causing me to grab her wrist.
"She's in danger, I must help." The girl insists as she turns to me.
"No, you don't!" Another familiar voice calls out, causing me to look over to see Dog-Boy land in front of the three men who were heading towards the woman. "Is that woman part of the Dog-Boys group?" I wonder as I see the Dog-Boy begin punching and kicking the 3 men, but then he turns to the injured guy on the horse.
"And one for the master!" The Dog-Boy declares as he punches him in the face, causing him to fly off the horse. Without realizing it, I let go of the girl's wrist and put on a worried expression. Suddenly, the three men rush over to the injured man with worried expressions, and they quickly carry him away. "Serves those nasty pigs right, but I'd better leave before they notice me." I think as I go to shrink back, but they turn to me and the girl, causing me to instantly hide behind her.
"Thank you." The girl thanked them as she ignored my sudden action. "Damn it, how am I gonna leave now!?" I wonder as I glance over at the woman.
"Was it you two they were after?" The woman asks.
"It was just me they were after." The girl answers, but then the Dog-Boy's nose begins to twitch as he turns over towards me, and I hide my face in the girl's shoulder. "He doesn't remember my scent, right?" I wonder as the voice I knew all too well calls out.
"Songo!" Kagome's voice calls out, causing me to shudder.
"Is something wrong?" A male's voice that was also familiar asked questions.
"Huh?" The girl sounds, while she looks over and moves slightly away from me, which causes me to look down so they still can't see my face. "This is just great... I run away from the castle and run straight into Naraku's enemies." I think as I let out a sigh.
"Miroku!" The girl calls out, causing me to put on a confused expression. "Is this girl an old acquaintance, or something?" I wonder as I then glance over to see Dog-Boy staring at me with a suspicious expression, causing me to quickly turn my head.
"It is you, master Miroku, you've returned!" The girl bellows as she rushes over to the man dressed like a Monk, causing everyone's attention to fall on her.
"Oh, Miroku. How I've missed you!" The girl chirps, causing me to slowly turn. "I'd better leave while their all focused on that girl." I think as I begin to slowly walk away as I can hear the girl Koharu begin telling her story. Before I could stop myself with an angry expression, I was behind the monk.
"You lecherous Monk!" I shout as I punch Miroku on top of his head, causing everyone to look over at me with wide eyes.
"The happiest day of my life." Koharu's expression was causing me to nearly fall over.
"You'd better take responsibility for this!" I yell as I get up in his face.
"R-right." Miroku stutters as I cross my arms, but then widen my eyes. "What the hell have I just done?!" I wonder as I glance over to see Songo with a look of disbelief and Kagome with a face full of mixed emotions.
"(Y/N)?" Songo and Kagome's chorus caused the Dog-Boy to glare at me.
"I knew you smelled familiar!" Dog-Boy declares as he rushes over to me and holds me up by the collar of my kimono, which hinders my breathing. "D-damn it!" I think as I begin to struggle.
"Where is Naraku?! Tell me!" Dog-Boy demands with an angry expression.
"Inuyasha, Sit!" Kagome's voice rings out, causing Inuyasha to face plant into the marshy water while releasing me. Finally able to breathe, I let out a few coughs as I was in the marshy water as well.
"Are you okay?" Songo asks as I felt someone gently rubbing my back, causing me to nod slightly. "Why is she being so nice to me? Doesn't she know I tried to kill Kagome, a member of their group?" I wonder as I stared at Songo in disbelief.
"What the hell, Kagome!?" Inuyasha exclaims as he looks over to see Kagome with an angry expression.
"(Y/N), are you okay?" Kagome asks as she rushes over to me with a worried expression. "Why is she asking if I'm okay?! I'm the one who tried to kill her before!" I wondered as I felt tears begin to form in my eyes, I stared up at her with a confused expression.
"Why?" I question, causing everyone to look over at me with a concerned expression, but I slightly shake my head. "No, I can't be drawn in by fake kindness like before with Naraku." I think as I look over at Koharu.
"Why were those men after you?" I ask, trying to change the conversation.
"As of late, I noticed the keeper of the oils, young lord, leering at me. My fears were realized last night when he tried to force himself on me." Koharu answers.
"And that's why you ran away?" Kagome questions.
"Yes, I struck him with some firewood until he lay motionless," Koharu responds, causing my eyes to widen.
"Damn, but to me it sounds like that pig deserved it." I point out, but Koharu then turns to Miroku and skootches towards him.
"Please, Miroku. Won't you take me with you?" Koharu requests.
"Koharu," Miroku responds in a rejecting tone.
"I have nowhere else to go, besides... I am an adult now. I am able to bare your children." Koharu addresses, while Songo and I glare at the monk, as everyone else's eyes widen.
(Time Skip)
We were now at an abandoned shrine. Inuyasha and Miroku were outside, while Koharu and Kagome ran off somewhere, leaving me and Songo in the hut together. "They haven't killed me or tied me up, yet instead they allowed me to tag along." I think as I stared at Songo in confusion.
"So I heard you've lost you're memories." Songo points out, finally breaking the silence. "I don't know why, but I feel as if I can trust her..." I think as I nod.
"I don't know if the dreams I've been having of me as a child are memories, but it's strange..." I trail off, causing Songo to look up from her weapon and to me.
"What is?" Songo asks, causing me to look down at the demon cat Kirara, who was making her way over to me.
"There's only one person's face I can't see. It's a little girl with short black hair, and it's as if I blocked it out cause I can't hear her name either." I answer, and Songo smiles at me, causing me to straighten up.
"The little girl is most likely Kagome. I know you might not want to believe me, seeing as Naraku's obviously been telling you lies. Kagome and you are cousins, and you came to this world through the sacred tree." Songo explains as Kirara jumps onto my lap, causing me to stiffen up.
"I need you to change someone's fate, for me," a voice rings through my head, causing my eyes to widen. "Change... Someone's fate? I can't seem to remember who said that to me or why." I think as I stared down at the demon cat.
"Are you okay?" Songo questions, causing me to nod my head.
"I have no memories, so I wouldn't know who's lying and who is not," I respond as Songo puts on a serious expression.
"(Y/N), you ran away from Naraku's castle, didn't you?" Songo asks, causing me to stay silent for a moment.
"I witnessed Naraku, the demon who had saved me, punish Kagura, one of his subordinates. It unnerved me, which resulted in drawing attention to myself. Suddenly, that girl's voice rang through my head, and without another second to spare, I fled in fear I might be next." I answered as I stared at the ground, but then I felt arms wrap around me, causing my eyes to widen.
"That will never happen, you're safe now," Songo assured as I felt tears begin to form in my eyes. "I want to believe in her words, but I won't let honey words draw me in again." I think as I pull away from her and stand up.
"I'll keep that in mind." I insist, causing her to stand and smile. We both make our way outside to see Inuyasha and Miroku with serious expressions.
"I hope you understand our position, Miroku. We can't take that girl with us, (Y/N)'s enough trouble." Inuyasha points out, causing me to scoff.
"Oh, I am, am I?" I question, causing Inuyasha to glare up at me.
"Yeah, and I sure as hell don't trust you!" Inuyasha responds as we glare at each other. "The feelings mutual, pal!" I think as I stick my tongue out at him.
"Still, we cannot simply abandon the orphan child," Songo states as she walks over and sits on the rock, as I lean over the railing of the abandoned shrine.
"True enough, perhaps she can accompany us until we find a suitable family that can take the girl in," Miroku suggests.
"Wow, harsh," I remark.
"At the least. Seeing it was you who asked her to bare your children." Songo adds, causing Miroku to turn to her.
"Oh, that. I ask the same question every single time I meet a new girl." Miroku informs.
"Every girl except one, maybe." Songo declares, causing Miroku to walk over and grab her hand, and I narrow my eyes down at him.
"Songo, would you kindly consider baring my-
"Spare me, would ya!?" Songo exclaims while interrupting Miroku, causing me to giggle.
(To Kanna)
She was staring at her mirror as the poisonous insects surrounded her.
"(Y/N)..." Kanna trails off as she stares at (Y/N), whose reflecting in her mirror.
