(3rd POV)
"How strange... I cannot suck up all her soul." The white demon states that (Y/N)'s soul looked as if it were too much for her mirror. Suddenly, she began to walk towards Kagome, who was glaring at her.
"I am unable to suck up you're soul, Kagome. However, I desire the shard of the Sacred Jewel that you possess. Give it to me." The girl insists as she reaches out towards Kagome.
"You can't have it!" Kagome declares as she steps back, causing both her and Koharu to fall backwards. Koharu was unconscious, while Kagome quickly sat up, drawing an arrow and pointing it at the white demon.
"Songo, Kagome!" Miroku calls out as he enters the room.
"So she's the other demon." Miroku points out as Kirara comes in to growl at the girl, who begins to walk away, fading into the darkness.
"(Y/N)!" Kagome cries out as she rushes over to (Y/N) with a worried expression.
"Kagome, is (Y/N) harmed? What has she done?!" Miroku exclaims, causing Shippo to stir as Kirara walks over to him and wine.
"Kirara, it's you. Uh, oh (Y/N), Kagome!" Shippo calls out as he jumps up and looks over at them.
"What exactly went on here?" Miroku asks, causing Shippo to turn to him with a serious expression.
"Miroku, didn't you see the white demon?" Shippo questions and Kagome glances over at him from the unconscious (Y/N).
She was trying to draw (Y/N)'s soul into her mirror." Kagome answers.
"(Y/N)'s soul?" Miroku asks, causing (Y/N) to stir.
( (Y/N)'s POV)
"Thank goodness, are you okay?" Kagome's questions cause me to slightly nod. "I'm glad she's not hurt," as a feeling of relief envelopes me.
"I just feel weak," I respond, causing Shippo to rush over to me.
"That white demon tried to take you're soul!" Shippo declares, causing me to look over at him.
"Take my soul?" I ask, causing Shippo and Kagome to nod, but Miroku then clears his throat as he helps the unconscious Songo onto Kirara's back.
"In any case, we should hurry outside and help Inuyasha," Miroku answers, causing me to sit up from Kagome's lap.
"Can you stand (Y/N)?" Kagome questions. "Why am I so relieved no one here is dead?" I wonder as I stare at the floor
"Get on my back and I'll carry you." Miroku insists, causing me to look over to see him crouch down in front of me with his back turned. "Definitely not a pervert." I think as I shake my head.
"I'll be fine. You all hurry and go help Inuyasha, besides, I wouldn't be of much help feeling weak like this." I state, causing them all to put on a worried expression as Miroku stands up. Suddenly, Kagome helps me over to the wall and leans me against it, causing me to look up at her in confusion.
"Stay here and take it easy then," Kagome instructs, and I nod, causing them all to rush out of the room, and I let out a sigh. "Who was that Priestess, and what did she mean? Save who? More importantly, Naraku is obviously trying to either punish me... Or kill me." I think as I go to close my eyes, but I then see something out of the corner of my eye, causing me to glance over at the dark room to see red eyes staring back at me.
"Nar-aku?" I ask as I then see him walk out from the darkness with his normally cold expression; however, it seemed a bit warmer than usual. However, I ignore it and glare up at him, trying to hide the fear that was creeping in.
"I can't tell if you're scared of me or entirely loathe me, so which is it?" Naraku's questions cause me to scoff. "There are so many emotions I feel when staring at him. Fear, confusion, but also... Hatred." I think as I glare daggers at him.
"I see..." Naraku trails off as he was in front of me and places his hand onto my throat, while I grab the knife hidden in my sleeve and place it against his neck. "So you've come to do it yourself, but I won't let you." I think, but then a bit of confusion appears on his face.
"You hate me?" Naraku asks as I stare into his beautiful red ruby eyes.
"Y-yes," I answer, slightly out of breath.
"You claim you hate me, but that expression and the look in your eyes tell me the opposite..." Naraku trails off, causing my eyes to narrow at him. "He may have saved me, but he's been doing so many awful things to the people around me... So why can't I completely hate him?!" I think, while we stared into each other's eyes.
(To Naraku's POV)
I stared into her mysterious eyes for a moment.
"Why did you run?" I finally asked, causing (Y/N)'s hand with the knife to begin to tremble. "Is it fear or hatred that's causing this reaction?" I wonder as she looked away from me.
"Why did you come after me?" (Y/N) questions, causing my eyes to shift up to meet hers. "I came here to kill her, but now that I'm here, it's as if I can't. I, Naraku, can't even kill a mere Mortal?!" I wonder as I glared at her.
"You're still of use to me," I respond, causing me to be confused at my own words, but her eyes widen.
"No, I'm not... Just leave me alone, you monster!" (Y/N) shouts as she began to press the knife to my neck, causing it to bleed, but I barely feel it. Grabbing the knife out of her grip, fear finally begins to show on her face, causing my eyes to widen as my chest begins to ache. "Why are you so frightened of me?!" I wonder as I throw the knife away, causing her to tense up. "No, I won't lose you to Inuyasha's group. It's their fault you've turned against me!" I think as I place my hand on her head, which causes her to flinch.
"Please, don't kill me," (Y/N) whispers, but I shake my head. "I will show you a fake scenario of when I rescued you, (Y/N), and you're going to know everything I've said till now is the truth." I think as she falls unconscious and I go to pick the unconscious (Y/N) up princess style, when something purple had slipped slightly out of her Kimono, causing me to narrow my eyes at it. Grabbing it, I see it's the purple flower I had placed in her hair before. "She carried this with her, but didn't she fear and despise me?" I wonder as I then put on an annoyed expression. "To think I, Naraku, would go to such lengths for a mortal woman." I think as I placed the flower back into her hair carefully.
"I can't seem to shake you," I whisper as I caress the slight scar on her cheek with my thumb.
(3rd POV)
(To Inuyasha)
"You are mine!" Inuyasha shouts as he slices through the Wind Scare, causing the blast to hurl towards Kagura, causing her to turn away as the white demon appears behind her. Suddenly, the Wind Scare is reflected towards him thanks to the girl's mirror.
"What?" Inuyasha asks, but is unable to get out of the way or counter, causing him to be injured by his own technique, while screaming out in pain.
"Inuyasha!" Miroku and Kagome chorus as Shippo, and they rush over to the barely conscious Inuyasha, now lying injured on the ground. A big mist of miasma begins to circle in the sky above Kagura and the white demon, causing several cyclones to crash behind them to reveal Naraku with (Y/n) in his arms.
"It's him, Naraku," Miroku states, but Shippo's eyes widen.
"He's got (Y/N)!" Shippo bellows, causing Naraku to let out a villainous chuckle.
"That was indeed simple enough. I came so I could ask you in person how it felt to have your own power turned against you, and very easily, I might add." Naraku explains, causing Miroku and Kagome to stand in front of Inuyasha.
"Damn you..." Kagome trails off as she goes to grab an arrow, but Miroku puts his hand out to her, signaling her to stop.
"I am indeed honored by you're presence, Naraku. I'd rather expected a demon puppet. You are a coward who never sullies his own hands, who knows only how to lay traps, yet you come here yourself to retrieve a girl. Why is that?" Miroku asks as he begins to unravel the beads around his wrist.
"The wind tunnel, you are free to draw anything into your void, but surely even you cannot be that foolish monk," Naraku answers as he eyes Kanna's mirror, but then glances down at (Y/N).
"My course of action was simple. I created wind and void as incarnations of myself and then witnessed the damage I was able to inflict." Naraku declares as Miroku puts his beads around his cursed hand.
"Inuyasha, can you hear me? Inuyasha?!" Shippo exclaims, but Inuyasha still wasn't responding.
"As for this girl, she's become rather useful to me," Naraku informs as he pulls out his sacred jewel, revealing it to them.
"How can that be? Naraku's Sacred Jewel fragment is nearly whole?" Miroku questions.
"Most of this Jewel was gained through (Y/N)'s help, so it's only natural I'd want her back. She definitely has more use than that rotting corpse of a woman, Kikyo." Naraku responds, causing Inuyasha's eyes to fly open, but he then begins to groan.
"Inuyasha, you're alive. Thank the heavens!" Shippo chirps.
"Kikyo gave me this body, but (Y/N) personally handed me the Sacred Jewel shards of her own free will." Naraku insists, causing Kagome to glare at them with an annoyed expression.
"Kikyo wishes to gaze upon you're face when you're good and dead!" Kagura shouts as she waves her fan, causing blades of wind to fly towards them.
"Shippo, Kagome, get down!" Miroku calls out, causing them both to drop as he twirls his staff, but he is then knocked backwards. Suddenly, Kagome releases an arrow almost hitting Kagura.
"Enough, like hell my cousin would help you if she had her memories!" Kagome shouts, causing Kagura to glare over at the white demon.
"You failed me, Kanna. Why did you not steal her soul?" Kagura questions, causing Kanna to glance over at the unconscious (Y/N) in Naraku's arms as she walks up.
(Naraku's POV)
I look down at Kanna's mirror to see a soul seeping out of it, but then my eyes widen as I look down at (Y/N). "Could that be (Y/N)'s soul, but how could she possess such an enormous soul for it to be seeping out of the mirror like that?" I wonder as Kanna and I stare at the mirror.
"Once she wakes, this mortal will know whose side she'll choose." I proclaim, causing Kagome to grab another arrow and begin to draw her bow.
(3rd POV)
"Shut up and let her go!" Kagome demanded as she aimed her arrow towards Naraku.
"Don't do it, Kagome, it's fire back at you just like the Tessaiga did!" Shippo bellows.
"I guarantee it won't, my arrow only strikes evil," Kagome states as she releases her arrow, which hits Kanna's mirror. However, instead of reflecting, the arrow is consumed by the mirror.
"The arrow is starting to pierce the mirror!" Shippo announces as Kanna brings the mirror closer to herself.
"The arrow went through; it didn't deflect," Kanna says.
"What's going on? Why did it not strike back at her?!" Kagura exclaims as Kanna stares down at her mirror.
"I understand. The arrow is made up of souls; the mirror is filled. Unless the souls are released, the mirror will burst." Kanna explains that as the mirror begins to shine brightly, a crack begins to form, causing all the souls to burst out from the mirror and make their way to their owners.
"The souls have returned to their bodies..." Kagome trails off as she looks over to see that my body was glowing in Naraku's arms. Suddenly, Miroku quickly undoes his beads and releases the Wind Tunnel, but with a swipe of her fan, Kagura causes rocks to fly towards him. Without being bothered by Miroku, Naraku, with (Y/N) in his arms, along with Kagura and Kanna, begin to walk away and disappear.
"We shall allow you to live for a while, yet the Sacred Jewel will continue to bestow me with more and more power. Let us all relish the immeasurable power of the Sacred Jewel, shall we?" Naraku's voice rang out mockingly.
(To (Y/N)'s POV)
I was walking in the forest, looking around, when I heard something heading towards me.
"Oh, it's a human!" A loud voice rings out, causing me to look up to see a giant blue demon staring down at me.
"It's my lucky day, I was just getting hungry!" The demon roared as it began to rush towards me.
"No way am I letting you eat me, ugly!" I bellow as I begin to run, but I could hear it chasing after me. "I should never have come to this stupid forest!" I think as I heard the demon call out for me, causing me to turn and glance back. Suddenly, I tripped, which caused me to begin rolling down a hill covered in trees and rocks. Finally, I had stopped rolling, but pain had enveloped my whole body as my vision began to blur. "Damn it..." I think as my vision fades to black.
"Ow..." I trail off as my eyes flutter open to see a man with long black hair and beautiful red eyes appear in front of me.
"Does it still hurt?" The man asks, causing me to put on a confused expression.
"What, who are you, and where am I?" I question, and the man smiles slightly.
"I am Naraku. I found you injured at the foot of the mountain as I was on my way back to my palace." Naraku responded as I stared at him for a moment.
"I-I was?" I ask, and Naraku nods.
"You're greatly injured. Did you slip and fall, or did you encounter demons?" Naraku questions, causing me to stare up at the tent we were inside of the roof.
"I-I don't remember," I respond, causing Naraku to put in a confused expression.
"Did you perhaps lose you're memory?" Naraku asks, but I just continue to stare.
"Do you at least remember you're name?" Naraku questions, but the pain resurfaced, causing my vision to go blurry.
"(Y/N)..." I trailed off as my vision went black. Opening my eyes, I see a ceiling I knew all too well, causing me to let out a sigh. "So, Naraku wasn't lying to me... He really did save me." I think as I sit up and look around to see I'm in my room, but as I look over, I see Kohaku is asleep beside the door frame. "They all lied to me... Then why did I feel such a strong connection with all of them?" I wonder as I stand up and walk out of the room and head towards Naraku's room.
"He isn't here." A soft voice rings out as I am about to go into Naraku's room, causing me to turn and see the white demon.
"Oh, um... Do you know where he is?" I ask and she nods.
"I'm Kanna of the Void... I can show you anything with my mirror." Kanna answers as her mirror begins to change from its reflective surface to show Naraku hiding amongst the trees in his baboon outfit.
"Show yourself. I know that you've been following me." A woman's voice rings out through the mirror, causing Naraku to reveal himself with a chuckle.
"Kikyo, Inuyasha feels bitter towards you. He lies close to death, and it is all thanks to my newly found power from the Sacred Jewel fragments. However, I'm quite curious as to why you would purposely send that girl (Y/N) my way?" Naraku asks as he peered at her through his mask. "Wait, what does Naraku mean?" I wonder as I stared at the mirror with a bewildered expression.
"She is quite the nuisance... So I thought if I sent her to you, that'd be the end of her. My turn, Naraku, why is it you've allowed her to live?" Kikyo questions with a glare, but he then disappears. "So was that woman the one who sent me into that forest filled with demons? She wanted Naraku to kill me, but he didn't kill me... Now that I think about it, why hasn't he killed me?" I wonder, but then Kanna's lifeless stare pulls me out of my thoughts.
"Thank you, Kanna." I thank her as I place my hand on her head with a smile, causing her to look up at me with a look of disbelief.
"(Y/N)!" Kohaku's voice rings out, causing me to look over to see him rushing down the hallway as he then spots me and rushes over to us, and I take my hand from Kanna's head.
"Thank goodness..." Kohaku trails off, sounding a bit out of breath.
"Did you think I left again?" I ask, causing Kohaku to stare up at me with a worried expression, but I shake my head.
"I won't, I promise," I answer, causing his eyes to widen, but then he nods. "I owe Naraku my life; there's no way I can run away now." I think as I let out a sigh.
"Kohaku..." Kanna trails off, causing Kohaku to straighten up.
"Please allow me to escort you back to you're room." Kohaku's request caused me to put on a confused expression.
"Am I not allowed to be out?" I question, causing Kohaku to go silent as he stared at the ground, causing me to let out a sigh.
"Alright, lead the way," I state, causing Kohaku to begin walking. "I'll deal with it for now, but I will make that group pay for trying to lie to me once again!" I think as I followed after Kohaku.
