"Thanks for taking me shopping guys" I smiled greatfully at shane and Selene "I had no idea how much supplies you had to personally great"
"You do seem quite clueless" Selene giggled "not to worry. The witches brew have everything you need and thanks to me we can pull some strings to get you everything at a lower price"
"Oh please. I've known her way longer than you" shane glared at her.
"No need to be jealous Shane. I know she stole your heart long ago" she poked his cheek teasingly.
"Wha- I don't love her! That's gross!" His face turned red.
"Oho so shaney-boy have a girlfriend. I can't wait to meet her" I wrapped my arm around his neck with a teasing smirk.
"Knock it off ya eejit!" He knocked my hand away before marching off. Me and Selene laughed as we followed him into the witches brew, a cute little shop with a broomstick sign hanging outside.
The shop inside was cosy looking with potions lining the shelves, magic books stacked high and a fireplace at the end of the room. On a stool was a small girl with short blonde hair wearing a green dress and a witches hat too big for her head, dusting the shelves with a cheerful hum. She was cute as a button.
"Oi indigo" shane called to her.
"Shane it's you-" her smile was immediately wiped from the sight of me "yah!" She fell off the stool in shook.
"Are you okay?" I reached out to help her but-
"N-no please don't hurt me!" She scrambled to hide behind Selene.
"He's not going to hurt you indi" Selene smiled reassuringly.
"Cause you'll protect me?" She hugged the girl with tears in her eyes "oh sele you're my hero!" Selene stroked her hair with a fond smile. Suddenly I recognised her..
Indigo spell. She's Selene's only friend and is fated to die in an awful way.
"We brought nova here to get some supplies for school" shane explained "think you can hook him up?"
"O-of course. I'll get it right away" she ran into a storage room before returning with a stack of books "here you go. Don't worry about paying. Just t-take it" she trembled violently.
"Thank you" I took the books from her, giving her a smile to ease her mind. I must have shown too much teeth cause she yelped and hid behind Selene.
"Woops" I muttered to myself. Looks like this will take a while. I watched as Shane and Selene calmed her down. They were clearly fond of her. I knew then what I had to do.
I had to save her
