Chapter 12 - Ice Cream and War

After beating up a bunch of pathetic thugs, Dominic felt incredibly refreshed. He straddled his other motorcycle—a Harley-Davidson Fat Boy. The bike's body was sleek and streamlined, its metal frame gleaming brightly under the streetlights. The low roar from the V-twin engine was as powerful as a wild Beast, and its thick, sturdy tires looked as if they could crush anything in the next second. He slammed the throttle, and the motorcycle instantly let out a huge roar, shooting out like a wild Beast unleashed.

Heh heh, so cool. Beat someone up, then go for a ride... perfect!" Dominic muttered to himself smugly as he accelerated. His eyes were full of arrogance, the wind whistled past his ears, and the motorcycle sped through the city streets, leaving a dazzling trail of light behind it.

If I run into some carjackers later, I'll beat them up again, and my mood for today will be perfect." A mischievous smile hung on his lips, as if he couldn't wait to find the next unlucky person to toy with.

Suddenly, a fierce fighting sound came from a distance, accompanied by deafening explosions. Dominic looked up, his eyes instantly lit up, and he couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow, isn't that Iron Man fighting Iron Monger? Cool! This scene is absolutely stunning!"

The scene before him made him quite excited. Iron Man's iconic red and gold armor, firing energy blasts from his hands, was locked in fierce combat with the huge Iron Monger opposite him. Sparks flew, and explosions were incessant. The surrounding buildings were tilted and toppling from the impact of the battle, vehicles were sent flying, and dust and smoke rose everywhere. It was like a live recording of a sci-fi blockbuster.

Damn, you can't miss such a spectacular scene, I need to enjoy it properly!" Dominic's gaze swept around, and suddenly he had an idea. "First, let's get a tub of ice cream, then enjoy this big show properly!"

No sooner said than done, he immediately found a convenience store. He bought a tub of Häagen-Dazs strawberry ice cream, and also grabbed a few boxes of Ben & Jerry's Double Chocolate and White Rabbit vanilla ice cream. He didn't forget to pick up a few boxes of Häagen-Dazs green tea flavor to cut the richness. After buying these luxurious treats, he swaggered over and parked his motorcycle in a perfect "VIP seat"—a floor platform on a building, from where he could overlook the entire battle.

He plopped down on his motorcycle, opened the ice cream tub, and scooped a large spoonful of strawberry ice cream into his mouth. The cool sweetness instantly melted in his mouth, the creamy richness and the tartness of the strawberries perfectly combined, like a feast for the taste buds.

Wow, this ice cream is amazing, it melts in your mouth, indeed luxury ice cream is something else." He leisurely watched the fierce battle on the field while heartily enjoying the delicious treat in his hand.

We see on the left, our familiar red and gold armored Iron Man, and on the right, Iron Monger, who is several sizes larger than him!" Dominic imitated the tone of a World Cup commentator, amusing himself by starting a "match commentary". "Wow, Iron Man fires an energy blast! A beautiful hit, striking Iron Monger's chest! We see, Iron Monger is not down, he's counter-attacking! A heavy punch lands on Iron Man's faceplate! This match is truly thrilling!"

While chewing his ice cream, he watched the "good show" before him with great interest, his eyes full of excitement and amusement. "Wow, Iron Man is struggling a bit, Iron Monger is incredibly strong, it seems this battle is full of suspense!"

Just as he was happily watching the show, a sudden explosion shook the ice cream in his hand. He frowned slightly, and a mischievous smile appeared at the corner of his mouth. "Heh heh, don't get too carried away, not anyone can bomb my VIP seat."

He sat comfortably on his bike, enjoying the "action blockbuster" before him. Every bite of ice cream made him feel life was wonderful. For him, the battle was just free entertainment. As a "Homelander" who was above the rules, he disdained participating and preferred to be a leisurely spectator instead.

At this moment, Pepper Potts stood aside, looking nervous. Her gaze occasionally swept towards the battle scene ahead. The fierce clash between Iron Man and Obadiah Stane made her heart clench. Explosions and metal clangs rose one after another. Every time Tony was hit, it made her hold her breath and unconsciously clench her fists. Coulson beside her had sharp eyes, remaining vigilant at all times to ensure Pepper's safety.

But in this tense atmosphere, Pepper suddenly noticed that Coulson's gaze was not entirely focused on the battle. Instead, he was occasionally glancing in a certain direction. Pepper followed his gaze and was surprised to find a tall man sitting leisurely on a motorcycle on the top floor of a building not far away... eating ice cream!

The man looked completely unlike someone in a city where a life-and-death duel was taking place. Instead, he looked like he was on vacation by the sea, eating a large spoonful of ice cream, while enthusiastically watching the fierce battle between Tony and Obadiah. His confident smile and unrestrained posture made it seem as if the entire battle was a free performance, and he was the VIP audience of this performance.

Pepper was stunned for a moment, then looked at Coulson with a face full of confusion. She couldn't help but ask, "That man... is he someone particularly important?"

Coulson frowned slightly, his gaze still fixed on Dominic in the distance. His voice was low and full of meaning: "Him? Oh, he's not just special, you could say... he's very special." Coulson slowly turned his head to look at Pepper, a meaningful smile appearing at the corner of his mouth. "If we can get this 'special' Dominic to join the fight... Tony will be fine in this one."

He paused, a hint of humor flashing in his eyes. "Look at him, eating ice cream, so leisurely as if nothing concerns him—in reality, he is perfectly capable of turning Obadiah into scrap metal in under a minute, without even putting down the ice cream in his hand."

After hearing this, the astonishment on Pepper's face deepened. She hesitated slightly, her eyes flickering. "Then what are we waiting for? Quickly get him to help!" Pepper was burning with anxiety, Tony's situation was clearly precarious. She didn't want to delay for a moment and directly strode forward, running towards Dominic.

Coulson watched Pepper's hurried back, shook his head helplessly, and then followed closely. "Hope this 'Homelander' gives us some face and isn't too... unpredictable." He muttered softly, but his feet didn't slow down at all as he hurried towards Dominic.

Dominic was leisurely scooping a spoonful of green tea ice cream into his mouth. The cool creamy flavor instantly melted on his tongue, bringing an indescribable feeling of comfort. He squinted his eyes, happily thinking to himself, "Watching the show from this VIP seat is truly the peak of life."

Just then, he noticed two figures running towards him. One was Coulson, wearing his signature suit, and the other was Tony's girlfriend—Pepper Potts.

Hmm? What do these two want?" Dominic raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement flashing in his eyes. "Are they here for my autograph?"

Pepper rushed up to Dominic, panting, her face full of anxiety. "Please help Tony! He can't hold on much longer!"

Dominic casually placed the ice cream tub aside and lazily looked up at the battlefield. Then he looked at Pepper, the corners of his mouth slightly raised, revealing a slightly teasing smile. "Wow, I thought Iron Man was an invincible hero, so he needs help too, huh?" His tone was filled with unconcealed sarcasm and nonchalance.

Pepper was so anxious she almost jumped up, her eyes full of pleading. "Please! He really needs help now, only you can save him!"

Coulson arrived at this moment and added calmly, "Dominic, if you're willing to step in, this battle will end instantly."

Dominic looked at them, an elusive light flashing in his eyes. He then stood up, brushed the ice cream crumbs off his clothes, and said thoughtfully, "Hmm... your plea is quite touching, but the problem is, I don't like interfering in other people's battles, especially such... boring ones."

He paused deliberately, glanced at Pepper, and then raised a mischievous smile. "However, seeing how sincere you are, perhaps I can consider... giving Tony a 'little' help."

Coulson heard the teasing in Dominic's tone, frowned, but still nodded. "We just need you to act, leave the rest to us."

Dominic shrugged, looking indifferent. "Alright, who made me a good-hearted 'Superman'? Let's see."
