'Sure enough, my stats have been updated,' Victor thought as he noticed a new title and skill added. He clicked his tongue. 'I really need to hunt monsters to increase my level'
"Miss Amanda, didn't you say it would take me years to reach Sword Saint rank?" Victor asked calmly, though he wore a look of confusion so as not to make her suspicious. He also had the urge to tease her a little but didn't dare.
'You ask me? Who am I supposed to ask?!' Amanda cried out inwardly. She opened her mouth, but no words came out, leaving her mouth hanging open. The next moment, she quickly regained her composure and fixed Victor with scrutinizing eyes.
'Could his talent really have increased this much? Or is it due to the unawakened Primogenitor bloodline?' Amanda thought carefully. She dismissed the first possibility and concluded it must be the bloodline—otherwise, there was no explanation for such rapid progress.
If Victor had once been considered talented, now he was monstrously gifted. Only those with Primogenitor bloodlines could achieve such feats. If anyone saw his progress without knowing about his bloodline, they would assume he was just another anomaly—like the many that appeared in the tower over the years. Because of this, Amanda wasn't too worried about him being discovered. And truthfully, she wasn't too far from the mark—Victor's progress was indeed tied to his bloodline, as he possessed the Akasha Eye.
'Well, at least I would be able to beat that bastard Steven,' Victor thought with an excited look on his face as his fist clenched tightly. He could already imagine Steven's confidence faltering, his smugness replaced by shock when he saw Victor regain his former strength.
"Miss Amanda, can you ask someone above the Sword Saint to teach me so I can reach the Sword God rank quickly?" Victor said excitedly. Hearing his words, Amanda snapped out of her daze, and her eyebrows twitched.
'If he also reached Sword God rank this quickly, wouldn't those ancient Sword Gods have a heart attack and die from frustration and jealousy?' Amanda thought as she rubbed her temples.
"Victor, do you think Sword Gods are cabbages that can be found on the roadside? There are only a handful of Sword Gods, and they are top Rankers on the higher floors. When you reach the top floors, you can ask them yourself," Amanda said calmly.
"I see. Then can you ask the teachers of the Knight Department above Sword Saint rank to teach me?" Victor asked calmly. Now that he thought about it, she was right—Sword Gods were at the very top of the pyramid, and there would only be a few, not available on the lowest floor.
"Unfortunately, in the Knight Department the highest is Sword Saint, and Eric is the only Sword Saint there," Amanda said calmly.
'That bastard is also a Sword Saint, no wonder he targeted me out of jealousy,' Victor thought. Mr. Smith would have trained for years, while Victor reached the same rank within just a few.
"Isn't there anyone you could ask to teach me?" Victor asked earnestly, which caused Amanda to release a sigh.
"There are a few, but they are not at the Light Academy. I'd need to contact them, and they might not be free," Amanda replied. Seeing his downcast look, she frowned, then remembered something.
"Oh, by the way, the Headmistress is a Dual Bloodline user, and years ago she was a Sword Saint. I think she should have advanced to the next rank by now," Amanda said calmly, looking at Victor.
"What? Headmistress Amber is a Dual Bloodline user?" Victor's eyes widened in disbelief as he looked at Amanda, who nodded her head in a calm manner.
'Heavens, who would have thought I'd encounter a Dual Bloodline user this quickly—and in such an unexpected way,' Victor thought with a sigh.
"By the way, you should have also forgotten your previous sword skills, right?" Amanda asked.
"That's correct, I don't remember any," Victor said. The only skill he had was Saint Swordsmanship, which was useless without powerful sword techniques.
"Then the next thing we should do is go to the Spell and Technique Association to get you a technique before finding a Sword King or above to train you. Without a technique, sword skills alone are not of much use. Even the technique you previously used was acquired from there," Amanda said in a calm manner, to which Victor nodded in agreement.
"Spell and Technique Association? What's that?" Victor asked with a frown on his face. Amanda looked at Victor and then began explaining.
"This is a massive organization created by a group of powerful Rankers hundreds of years ago. This organization has the largest collection of powerful sword techniques and spells for sale—even SS-rank and above are sold here, if you have the money and authority. Not only that, but they also buy techniques and spells created by others for a generous price."
"You see, in the past there was no such organization to sell and buy low-rank techniques or spells for a fair price, and most people got cheated. It was only after the establishment of this organization that buying and selling techniques and spells became easier. There's even a rumor that the founders themselves were cheated once, and that's why they built this organization. At the start, it was just a small shop, but since the founders were among the wealthiest, they bought techniques at high prices and sold them at low ones. This attracted other Rankers"
"Due to their fairness, over the years they became a behemoth, and currently they have branches on many floors within the Tower. If not for this organization, it would be very difficult for people to access powerful techniques and spells."
Amanda explained as she looked at Victor.
'Sigh, what remarkable and smart people,' Victor praised inwardly, finally understanding how they had built such an organization.
"But Miss Amanda, wouldn't it cost a lot? I'm currently broke," Victor said with an expectant look, which made Amanda roll her eyes.
"I already paid for it. It was quite cheap—only a few million," Amanda said. Victor, who heard this, clicked his tongue.
'Damn, rich woman. Rankers sure are loaded,' Victor thought.
"Let's go to the Headmistress's office to get permission first," Amanda said, to which Victor nodded and followed her.
