In the small apartment,
Aria sat on her her bed with her tiny hands on her cheeks as she gazed at her mother, who was busy packing her clothes. Her parents finally got divorced and she will be staying with her mother from now on.
As she recalled how her mother died in the previous life, Aria decided that she will provide her mother with all the happiness in the world. In the previous life, she was the one who made the Thomas family shine brightly, this time, she would like to see how will they succeed without her help. This time, she will make sure her mother live a fulfilling life.
But for that she needs money. Infact, with her previous life experiences and the thousands of book she had read in the library of the mystical space, she can eaisly become rich. But she is just a 5 years old girl at the moment and will need an adult help if she want to build her own business empire.
Moreover, the only person who can help her now is her mother who is legal guardian but how should she convince her. Furthermore, she also didn't have enough funds for it.
Aria started to recall all the major events that occured during this time in her previous life when her eyes lighted up in delight.
In her previous life, someone won a lottery of 100,000$ the day her parents got divorced. She might not have known about it but since James also had a habit of buying lottery tickets everyday, and couldn't buy it that particular day, he regretted it alot. Due to his constant wailing, Aria clearly remembers the number that won the prize.
Jumping off the bed. Aria ran towards Sophia.
"Can you give me 20$ mom, Please?
Sophia's hand paused, as she looked towards her daughter. PIcking her up in her arms, Sophia asked,
"Why do you need money, princess? Do you want to buy any snack?"
"No mom. Since we are leaving the house, I want to buy a souvenir for myself." Aria replied.
Putting her arms around Sophia's neck, Aria pou and blink her pretty eyes looking utterly innocent and pure as she begged in an extremely sweet voice.
"Mommy please....Please give to me."
Not able to handle her daughter's adorable face, Sophia agree.
"Ok fine. Don't make those puppy eyes anymore." said Sophia as she toke the money out of her purse and passed it to Aria.
"Thank you mom. You are the best mommy in the whole wide world. I love you the most." shouted Aria in excitment as she left the house after giving a loud kiss on Sophia's cheeks.
Shaking her head with a smile, Sophia touched her cheeks where Aria just kissed and looked the running figure left her sight and continued with her work.
On the other side,
After leaving the house, Aria made her way to the only lottery stall in the town. Reaching there, she peeped at the numbers on the ticket hanging infront of the stall and sighed in relief. The winning ticket still hadn't been sold. There were still four tickets above before the winning one.
Buying herself a ice-cream in the hot weather, Aria moved closer to the lottery stall. She can't just go and buy a lottery ticket, afterall, she is a five years old. Who will trust her? She had to do something else.
"Uncle, Can i please still under the shade till I finish my ice-cream?" Aria asked the stall owner.
"Sure little girl you can. But don't disturb my customers. Quickly finish your ice-cream and leave." told the stall owner.
Aria happily sat under the shade and started to eat her ice-scream. Since she lived in a very small town, most of the people there were very decent and honest. No one would fight each other until there is a very big reason for it and mostly everyone lived in harmony. Therefore, the stall owner also didn't stop Aria. Afterall, what can a five years old do.
Aria enjoyed her ice-cream as she watched three tickets get sold one after one. Just as someone came to buy the fourth ticket, She got up and started her small act.
"Uncle, why are you all buying tickets? Are you all going somewhere? But there is no train station near so why will you buy tickets over here?" Aria asked the customer and the stall owner innocently.
Looking at the adorable child infront of them, the customer recognized her and gave her a pitiful gaze and asked,
"Dear, aren't you James and Sophia's daughter?"
"No I am only my mommy's daughter. I don't like bad daddy." Aria stubbornly replied. Infact, she already knew that the chances of her being recognized were very high and she also wanted to be recognized. Afterall, everyone's pity and sympathy will indirectly help her in the end.
And she succeed. Both the customer and the stall owner were gazing at her with a sympathy in their eyes.
"Uncle, tell me. Why are you buying tickets?" Aria continued to press her question.
"I am not buying a train ticket but a lottery ticket. If I win, I get a huge prize." The customer tried to explain in easier words that a five years old could understand.
"Wow! The same prize tickets daddy used to buy for mommy. But now daddy won't live with us. Then mommy won't get prize ticket anymore. No, I will buy ticket for mommy. Uncle, give me a lottery ticket as well." Aria said, as she took out the money from her pocket and gave it to the stall owner.
"Sophia really gave birth to filial daughter. Here you go. Your ticket." said the stall owner as he passed the einning ticket to Aria feeling extremely sorrowful for the little girl.
Aria wasn't actually lying when she said that James brought lottery tickets everyday. It is just that he bougt them for himself but since he always checked the results on radio at home, he told everyone he bought them for Sophia.
"Thank you uncle."
Thanking the stall owner, Aria ran back to the small apartment where her mother and maternal grandparents were waiting for her.
"Thank god you are back princess. I was just about to go and look for you." Sophia said as she picked up her daughter in her arms.
"It doesn't matter. Now that Aria is here, lets go back." said the Old man Wilson as they move back towards the taxi waiting for them.
Soon they arrives at the small courtyard owned by the the Wilson family.
Settling themselves down in the living room, Aria passed the lottery ticket she bought to Sophia.
"Mommy look, I bought you a prize ticket just like daddy used to do so. From now onwards, I will buy it for you."
Tears started to gather in Sophia's eyes as she looked at the lottery ticket in her daughter's hand and quickly pulled Aria in her arms feeling really grateful
"My sweet princesss. Thanl you so much. But you don't have to buy them anymore. OK."
"Ok mommy. I will listen to you." Said Aria, returning her mother's hug.
"Our Aria is so filial to her mother. Come, lets have lunch now and then we will listen to the lottery results together." said Old lady Wilson as evryone moved to the dining table.
After finishing Lunch, everyone moved back to the living room as Old man Wilson turned on the radio. Sophia also returned the ticket back to Aria, not really believing they will win the lottery and let the child play to her heart content.
Aria also realised her mother's thought but didn't speak and brought her attention back to the radio.
"OK folks. Our next winning prize is 100,000$. Pick up your lottery tickets as we find out who is our lucky winner." said the host from the radio.
Aria tightened her hold on the ticket as well. She already know that she will win but still can't help herself and worry. What if she made a mistake. What if there is some butterfly effect.
"Ok. So the lucky number is 732..."
Aria started to match the number as well.
"732..."
"73261...." the host continued.
"73261..." Aria also repeated the number in her heart.
"And the winning number is 7326190. Congratulations to our lucky winner. You can collect the prize from the stall you have bought your tickets from. That is all for now. We will meet again tomorrow with more exciting prizes.
Looking at the numbers on her lottery ticket, Aria shouted in excitment.
"Ahhhhhhhhhh! We Won! Mommy look we won."
