"I am not lying mom. I really know about stocks." Aria tried to make her mother understand.
"Really? Then tell me who taught you all this?" Sophia asked Aria, trying to keep her anger in control and not lash out infront of her daughter.
"Mom, you remember that weird grandpa Davis in the town. No one in the town talked to him. On my second birthday, when daddy forgot my present, and I ran away in anger, I went to the lake side and met grandpa Davis there." Aria started to explain when Sophia anxiously cut her off in between; checking for any type of wound on her body.
"what! You went to meet that strange uncle? How many times I have told you to stay away from him. He could have hurt you. Did he hit or scold you? Tell mommmy."
"No mommy. Grandpa Davis is not like that. He is really nice. He has always been very kind to me. He is my only friend in town. I used to visit him everyday. He taught me alot and even gave me delicious food. He even said that I am a real genius, capable of doing great thing." Aria told Sophia proudly; her chest out and head high.
Infact, Aria wasn't lying when she said that. Grandpa Davis did really teach her and called her a genius; but those teachings just included reading and writing. The stocks were something she learned later in her previous life but she can't tell Sophia about it. Therefore, this is the only explanation she came up with.
Sophia still had her doubts, but still choose to believe her daughter. Afterall, why would Aria lie to her.
"Ok..Ok, I believe you. But princess, still, stocks are not some thing we can touch. You leave this problem to mom and should sleep now." Sophia assured Aria, as she tried finish off this topic.
"Mommy, trust me please. Let me invest in stocks. I promise I won't clutter it up. Please mommy, please." Aria begged; puffing her cheeks, water in eyes, as she gazed at her mother, trying to melt her heart with her adorable and witty charm.
Sophia can literally feel her heart melt into puddle, as she locked her eyes at her daughter. She never wanted to dissapoint Aria; never in her entire life. She always wanted her daughter to be confident and poised, not hesistating in taking her own decisions.and always true to herself. She never stopped Aria from doing what she wanted to do; she always believed that Aria should learn from her own mistakes. If today she stopped Aria, it might lead to negative psychological pressure on Aria and she might even began to doubt herself; which she never wanted. Strengthening her heart, gritting her teeth, Sophia finally agreed to her suggestion.
"Ok fine. You can invest in stocks."
"Yayyyy! Thank you so much mom. You are the best." exclaimed Aria; leaping into Sophia's arms.
Chuckling at her daughter's antics, Sophia calmed her hyper baby down.
"No so soon princess. Yes you can invest but I have a condition."
"I accept your every condition." Aria said, still thrilled from her mother's agrrement.
You only have one chance. You can invest this time but if it fails, you will never ever participate in such things till you are an adult. Promise mommy." declared Sophia as she put her hand forward.
"Ok mom. I promise that if I fail my invest today, I will never participate in stock exchange ever again. But if my investment is successful, then you also have to promise me that you will let me invest however I want and open another bank account just for my investments. Deal?" Aria also put her terms forward as she kept her tiny hand into Sophia's outstretched hand infront of her.
"Deal." said Sophia as she shaked hands with Aria as if they just finalized a business negotiation.
"Then how much is your budget for me? How about we invest the money we won today?" Aria asked, afterall, the higher the investment, the better the profit.
"NO! Definitely not. The maximum I will give you is 5,000$" Sophia declared. That money was all that she had. In a new city, if they lost all there money, where will they go. She definitely won't allow that to happen.
"Mom, that is too low. How much can I earn from 5,000$. I want minimum 50,000$ as my initial fund." Aria stated her demand.
"It is to risky. I don't approve excessive amount." Sophia aslso voiced out her attitude clearly.
"How about 45,000"
"Absolutely not. 10,000"
"That is still to low. 40,000"
"This is still very high. 15,000"
"...35,000..."
"...20,000...."
"That's it. 30,000$ is my last concession. I won't accept any less. Please mom. This will be my investment. Please approve it." Aria pleaded, joining both her palms infront of Sophia.
Gazing at her daughter, Sophia sighed and finally agreed.
"Ok. 30,000$ it is. But don't forget our deal."
"yes mom. I know. You wait and watch how I make you rich. Now where is your laptop. I need it." assured Aria as she happily began to search for her mother's laptop.
The little bit regret that was left in Sophia's heart also dissapeared as she looked at the smile on her daughter's face. She can earn the money again, but not her daughter's smile. Afterall, even if this money is gone, she sill had enough to atleast rent a house for them and fulfil their daily needs till she found a job.
Taking out her laptop from her bag, she passed it to Aria and settled down beside her.
Aria turned on the laptop and logged into "Stratifi Stocks" short form of "Strategic Finance Stocks" and signed up as a new member with the code name "A.S.W. and transfer 30,000$ from Sophia's bank account."
"Why this code name princess?" Sophia asked curously.
"Oh my innocent mommy. They are our initials. Aria Sophia Wilson; A.S.W. Aren't I smart." Aris told Sophia, patting her cheeks adorably; the mischievousness clear in her eyes.
"Very smart." Sophia replied, pulling her cheeks as well.
Bringing her attention back to the interface infront of her, Aria started to go through the stocks currently present, trying to search for something familiar; something that can solve her urgent need of money at the moment when a familiar name caught her attention.
"FRESH DEW"
It was a not so famous water brand. Its stocks had reached the lowest value and was on the brink of bankruptcy. In her previous life, this brand was acquired by Essentia, a very famous water brand causing its stock value reach the very top. No one expected this surge of value and many felt remorseful for it. If she recalled correctly, this news will be realised tomorrow morning and by afternoon, it will reach its max value as well.
Aria gazed at the current value of the stock.
[Fresh Dew:
Previous Value: 2.9$
Current Value: 1.3$]
Aria typed in the amount; 30,000$.
Clicked and Confirmed; as she turned off the laptop.
Saphia was wistnessing all her actions beside her. Multiple time, she thought to stop Aria, but in the end, eventually didn't stop her.
Taking the laptop from Aria's hands, Sophia put it on the side table and pulled Aria back into her arms.
"It's quite late. Time to sleep princess."
Aria nodded and quitely laid down and closed her eyes. She can clearly see the diagreement in her mother's eyes but the fact that despite her disapproval, she didn;t stop her and silently supported her from the side, always respecting her decision.
This is what she had missed out in her previous life, this unconditional love, silent support and respect. She is really grateful for this second chance. Today is just the beginning. Soon. she will lead her mother to presperity and wealth, letting her live her life to the fullest. She will never let anyone bring tears to her mother's eyes and will be her strongest shield against everything. Aria vowed as she secured herself in Sophia's warm embrace.

On the other hand,
Things had been going totally opposite for James and Charlotte. As he returned to the factory after his divorce, he and Charlotte were called immediately to the director's office as everyone talked behind their back.
"I always thought James was a decent man; serious and dedicated. But turned out he is just a cheater."
"I have never liked Charlotte anyways. Such a great white lotus, always playing the victim card."
Who would have thought they will get together and be in that type of relationship."
"I heard that Charlotte is even pregnant with his child and moreover, it's a son."
