Getting ready, Sophia along with Aria went down to the hotel exit; their booked taxi already waiting for them.
Settling down in the taxi, they mobed to their first destnation; Bank.
Arriving at the bank, Sophia as promised opened another account under her name and transfered the money in it and later passed the account to Aria.
Next they moved towards the real state office where a gent was already waiting for them.
"Good afternoon ma'am. My name is Ema and I will be your agent for the day. We have already talked on the phone about your requirements so we will go along with it as I show you your first option." The real estate agent. Ema introduced herself as they made their way to her desk.
"Ma'am, according to your requisites and budget, I have shortlisted these four apartments for you. You can select the one you like and we can go visit it then." Ema told them; passing a file containing the information on the houses.
Sophia took the file and started going through it. Aria also peeked in the file but didn't like the houses much.
'Might as well leave this to mom.' Aria thought; shrugging her shoulders nonchalantly.
Getting bored, Aria casually picked a random office magzine and started to go through it. Ema and Sophia also noticed her movement but didn't stop her.
Just as Aria was busy brushing the paper, one bulding caught her attention. it wasn't because the building was beautiful or ugly, the thing that caught her attention was the location of the building.
Silvergate District, a middle class, bustling area at the moment will later become the home of several rich people in the future. Infact, in her previous life, when she moved to City B, she also lived there. Owning a house in this district at that time was the sign of rich.
But that is in the future. Currently, the district is just a normal area filled with middle class people. What actually made Aria the most excited wasn't the discovery of her house in previous life or anything like that, but because of the news she heard in her previus life.
If she remembered correctly then, 6 months from now, all the houses in this district will be demolished. Whoever owned a house in there will become instant millionaire from the demolishment fees that will be given to them.
Aria enthusiastically called out Sophia.
"Mom, look. This place looks so beautiful. Can we please buy our first house here."
"Really? Let me see." Sophia said, taking the magzine from her hands; scanning it properly.
Looking back at Aria, Sophia confirmed again.
"Are you sure princess?"
"Yes mom. I am sure. Look this district is in the south, closer to a kinder-garden and elementary school. The Financial District, malls and other place are also within an hour drive at max. This place is perfect for me to go to school and also for you to work." Aria said, trying her best to persuade Sophia in buying a house in that district.
Sophia started to seriously consider her options as well.
Ema, witnessing all of this, also realised that Sophia wanted the house in the district but was also aware of her budget.
"Ma'am, your daughter has an excellent eye when it comes to selescting a house. Apartments of this district are very sought after in the city. But unfortunately, with your budget, buying a apartment there is not possible but we can rent it out to you if you want." Ema told them, trying to make a sales from them.
Sophia had given her the budget of around 100,000$ at maximum, but with the money Aria had earned through the stocks, Sophia can now afford a little more expensive house.
"How much will an apartment cost in this district, or evn better if it is in the building my daughter pointed out." Sophia asked skeptically, not sure how much exactly will it cost.
"Yes ma'am. We currently have two apartments in that building for sale. The maximum cost for both the apartments is around 250,000$ which exceed your budget by a large margin. Though we can help you rent an apartment if you want." Ema truthfully informed them everything beforehand.
Sophia also sighed in relief upon hearing the overall cost. She can still offord the apartment.
"Can we go and visit both the apartments before I ake my choice." Sophia asked, already made her mind to buy one if Aria approved it.
"Sure ma'am. Let's go." Ema told as the left the real estate office, making their way towards the car. Ema settled on the driving seat while Sophia took the passenger seat with Aria on her lap as they drove towards the building; Elaris Residences.
PArking the car, they entered the elavator and made their wayto first apartment on the 5th floor.
opening the door, Ema gave them a small tour of the apartment.
"This apartment is measured around 700 to 850 square feet with two bedrooms with attached bathrooms in both the rooms, a living room, a open ended kitchen and a small balcony facing north. It is a perfect cozy apartment for a small family." Ema introduced, as they roam around in the apartment.
Sophia really liked the apartment at first glance itself but still wanted to see the other one as well.
After a quick inspection, Ema took took them to the second apartment on the eighth floor.
"This apartment is measured around to 800 to 950 squarefeet with three bedrooms from which two have an attached bathroom, a cozy living room, a one wall kitchen and two balconies; one attached to one of the bedroom and the other one is attached to the living room. You can latter turn the last room in a study for yourself and your daughter." said Ema, finally finishing their scrutinization.
Aria and Sophia both liked the second apartment more.
"Mom this apartment is perfect. What do you say?" Aria said, appreciating the apartment infront of her.
Sophia nodded in agreement, already visioning it as their house after they will decorate and design their house together later.
"Miss Ema, me and my daughter both like this apartment very much and want to buy it at full price. What is your offer for the apartment?" Sophia asked, clearing itching to quickly buy a house just for themselves.
Ema became flabbergasted at the sudden turn of event. With their budget, she thought that they will rent out the apartment even if they really like, never imagining them to actually buy it, furthermore, doing full payment directly. She had really underestimated them. Quickly coming out of daze, Ema replied,
"The initial cost of the apartment is 265,000$. But since you are willing it pay for it in full price, according to the policies of the company you will get a 7% discount, so the final cost of the apartment will be 250,000$ for you."
Sophia thought for moment; gazing at Aria's anticipating face, smiled and declared.
"Ok. You can prepare the household registory documents. We will buy it."
"Yay!" Aria exclaimed exuberantly, excited for their new house.
Soon, all the formalities were over as Ema handed the house deeds and keys to Sophia.
"congratulations Ma'am and little miss for your new house. May this house be filled with love and happiness, bringing good luck to both of you. If you excuse me now, I will leaving. Goodbye. Hope we meet again." Ema said, congratulating them and giving her best wishes before she left the mother-daughter pair alone in the house.
As soon as Ema left, Sophia and Aria shrieked eagerly in exhilaration. Sophia carried Aria, whirling her in elation and happiness. This was their house. Their own safe haven. For them it is not just a house; it was their first step, first success in their new lifes.
They finally found a place they can call home. A place they look forward to return after a hectic day, where her daughter or mother will be waiting for her with open arms. They will build several beautiful memoeries over here, their bond getting stronger and making their lives better.
Looking at the bare apartment infront of them, they decided to decorate and design it themselves, every corner of their new home will tell a new different story of their life; their new start together.
