"So someone contacted you and bought off all of your recent paintings?" Jade asked incredulously, looking at me as if I had just told her that Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny were real.
We were in my workshop, waiting for Jace to arrive with my dress. Of course, I filled that time giving her the full gist, telling her every little detail that had happened after the Marco the Art Buyer episode.
"Yes, he wanted all of my paintings and offered a price I could never even dream of. I had no choice but to sell it off." A nervous laughter bubbled in my throat. I still couldn't believe it. Over a million dollars to purchase an entire collection of my paintings. When I got the call two days earlier, I could bet that it was another stupid trick by Marco.
Jade inched closer, frowning. "Are you sure? Are you sure it's not Marco or any his goons again this time?"
