Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Mage Tower

After five days of magic classes, Leylin mastered two new fire spells: [Dragon's Breath] and [Phoenix Flames], and the universal spell [Slow Fall].

Having mastered multiple spells, Leylin discovered a new situation. The key to this situation lay within his mastery of fire magic.

Learning multiple spells allowed Leylin to absorb even more pure magical energy besides his [Sage Body] and even boosting the efficiency his mastery of fire magic.

A mage's sensitivity to magical energy is even more acute than their own life force. Therefore, Leylin could clearly sense the changes in his own magical energy.

Sitting inside the Mage's Tower, Leylin was acutely aware of this shift.

Leylin casting a simple [Dragon's Breath]. A simple incantation served as a buffer, and a blazing flame, shaped like a giant dragon, soared out, colliding directly with the magical rune barrier surrounding the Mage's Tower.

Cracks appeared instantly on the barrier, spiderwebbing across its surface. The cracks shimmered with arcane light, a testament to Leylin's improving magical energy.

Leylin's eye gleamed with a mixture of pride and determination. It was a sign that his mastery was growing – his understanding deepening.

Five days ago, he had received the [Blazing Barrier] talent from his first class, yet some of his fellow mages haven't learned it. This goes to show how difficult learning magic talents can be.

Staring into the distance, Leylin stood up and walked towards the observatory. This was Grand Magister Belo'vir's private area, accessible only to him and Leylin.

He'd heard that Grand Magister Belo'vir said that here, one could sense the power of the stars, a unique magical induction similar to the highest level of human magic, astral magic.

Leylin ascended the floating staircase to the observatory, preparing to enhance the construct skeleton he had crafted. Leylin wasn't familiar with astrology, but he knew the arcane energy of this place was abundant.

Soaking the arcane construct skeleton here would help the construct adapt to the arcane energy and the magic circle control it. He didn't dare linger there for too long.

Glancing at the arcane orb floating in the air and the circular runic rings circling the vast starry sky, Leylin ran down, his construct skeleton in his arms.

Leylin stood before a large, smooth stone pedestal, his eyes blazing with focus and determination. Today, he was venturing into uncharted magical territory—creating an arcane construct using fire magic instead of the traditional arcane energies.

A bold idea, born from his curiosity and desire to push the boundaries of magic.

Arcane magic was the most suitable magical energy for creating a core magic circle, but Leylin hadn't started yet in learning on manipulating arcane energy into arcane constructs. He could only simulate the creation of the core magic circle using fire magic energy.

He began by drawing intricate core magic circles on the floor, their symbols shimmering faintly as he inscribed them with precision. Normally, these circles would channel arcane energies—violet and shimmering with mystery.

But Leylin decided to experiment: what if he could craft a construct powered by pure fire energy? How would it differ? Would it be stronger, more volatile, or perhaps more unpredictable?

Focusing his fiery magic, Leylin started to weave layers of complex runes—intertwining fire sigils, delicate patterns that linked the magic circles together. He tried different methods—linking the circles with ribbons of flame, creating intricate spirals of heat, and experimenting with the flow of energy.

The process was painstaking; he tested various configurations, each more elaborate than the last, learning from the failures and successes alike.

Time slipped away as he meticulously adjusted his approach, pouring more fire into his constructs, feeling his mastery deepen with each attempt. He realized that to create a stable, functional fire-powered construct, he needed to think differently than with arcane magic.

Fire energy was more aggressive, more raw. It required careful containment and control, not just of the energy itself but of its flow and intensity.

Finally, after many trials, Leylin's efforts bore fruit. Before him materialized a glowing, fiery figure—an arcane construct unlike any other. It radiated intense red energy, flickering and swirling with flames that danced like a living inferno.

It's form was humanoid, but it's eyes shimmered with embers, and the energy surrounding it crackled with vibrant heat. Unlike traditional violet-laced constructs, this one pulsed with a vivid red glow, symbolizing its fiery essence.

Leylin gazed at his creation, a mixture of pride and wonder. He had succeeded in forging a new kind of magic—a construct powered solely by fire, embodying its fierce spirit and raw power. This fiery guardian was different; it was more aggressive, more unpredictable, but also brimming with untapped potential.

As the flames around him flickered in celebration, Leylin realized that his mastery was truly growing. He had broken the boundaries of tradition, creating something unique and powerful—a testament to his relentless pursuit of knowledge and innovation.

Soon, the afternoon time was quickly consumed, Leylin stood back to admire his fiery creation. The crimson figure hovered silently, flickering with intense heat, a testament to his growing mastery over his fire-powered constructs.

Then Leylin thought of something like having mechas same as ones in Real Steal (movie). Well, constructs are like robots but powered by magic so why not? That would be so much fun. Anyways he would surprise his teacher with his own arcane construct soon.

With meticulous precision, he laid down a sturdy enchanted chair nearby and played with it balancing two of its feet while sitting down. Until a pleasant voice sounded in his ears.

"Okay, it's time to take a break."

Leylin looked at the Windrunner in front of him, the corners of his mouth rose, he stood up and picked some the books in his hand and said: "Well, it should be time for dinner."

"Of course, otherwise I wouldn't come to you, silly." There couldn't be another beautiful and well-behaved Windrunner except Vereesa.

Pulling Leylin from the desk, Vereesa took Leylin's hand and walked towards outside of Silvermoon City but in a different direction than Farstrider Retreat.

"Aren't we going to back to the Farstrider Retreat?" Leylin said in surprise.

"Of course not, you have been here for so long, and you haven't been to my house yet." Vereesa's cheeks were slightly red, and she said in a low and shy voice.

After hearing this, Leylin was stunned and said hesitantly: "Just my little sister?"

"How could it be, my family is there." The little sister said as a matter of course.

"Uh"
