Chapter 30 - Judged

Soraya's POV

The cold of the dungeon seeped into my bones, searing deeper with every passing second, wrapping around me like a second skin. I sat curled in the corner of the cell, my back pressed against the damp wall, my knees hugged to my chest. Morning light slanted weakly through the tiny barred window high above me, a cruel reminder that the world outside still lived and breathed, mocking me with its warmth.

Today was the day.

Today, they would decide what to do with me — the wolf who dared to hide in plain sight.
