Rio's Point of View Before Signing
I am sitting in my lawyer's office with the contract in front of me. Lina's deal. Her conditions. Her terms. Everything is made to take away my power.
But I realize something as I read it again. She believes she has won. She believes that by achieving financial independence and freedom, she has eluded me.
She is wrong.
There are ways to hurt someone that don't involve contracts, money, or the law. There are better ways to hurt someone than threats.
I'm going to say yes to this open marriage. I'm going to sign all of the papers she gives me. And then I'm going to make sure that she wishes she had never thought she could outsmart Rio Kalinawan.
I take the pen and write my name at the bottom of each page.
## The Villa—Day of Arrival
The villa is huge. There are eight bedrooms, infinity pools, a home theater, a wine cellar, and gardens that go on for acres. I bought it three years ago to rent it out. I have never lived in it.
