Dante wakes up in a dark room, restrained to a chair. The room is big enough to fit up to ten people, and he stares at a steel door that seems locked from the outside.
Just then a lock was heard being fiddled with and the door opened Daniel walking in with three men who seem to be guards all dressed in a dark blue security uniform.
"It's nice to see you awake Dante now we have much too discuss"
Daniel looks upon Dante with a friendly smile.
"What the hell are you going to do with me?!"
"No need to be so hostile my dear Dante"
Dante and Daniel went back and forth as the guards stood in each corner.
"Dante, there's someone coming who is eager to meet you. Don't worry; he may seem intimidating, but he's actually a softy."
Dante looks at Daniel with confusion, wondering who is coming to meet him. Then, a man in a dark long coat and a top hat enters. Daniel moves to the empty corner, watching the scene.
"It's nice to finally meet Dante Brimsted. I'm sure you are confused and panicked, but this discussion is long overdue."
The man removes his hat and orders the guards to leave, allowing Daniel to stay behind.
Dante looks up at the man and says, "I have questions that I want answered, so please listen."
The man sighed and said, "Okay, you have three questions. Go ahead."
Dante stared at the man. "First, where am I? Second, who are you all? And third, why is everyone after me?"
Daniel listens to the Dante's questions with amusement, studying his body language. The man thinks for a moment before responding, "My name is Johnathan Pier. You are in a cell within a dungeon beneath a security building, and we are The Cult of Lydia."
The man continues, "The reason everyone is after you is that you are marked by our goddess Lydia to become her successor. People like you are referred to as divine-kissed individuals, marked by gods."
Dante stared at the man named Jonathan, processing the information that had just been bestowed upon him. "Divine-Kissed by Lydia, goddess of eternal darkness? Why would she mark me?"
Daniel steps forward and offers his own words, saying, "It's not known why gods mark anyone, but it's decided at birth. However, for you, it occurred late and recently awakened, which is highly unusual."
Jonathan approaches Dante, now standing in front of him. "Dante, people are coming after you to exploit the abilities you will soon possess, especially since you are marked by such a powerful goddess. We want to train you and have you in our ranks."
Jonathan placed a hand on Dante's shoulder. "Dante, we aren't your enemies. We want to help you awaken and survive. Unfortunately, this isn't something you can reject; this is fate."
Dante looked at the floor and then back up at Johnathan. "What about my family, my aunt, and my little sister? Will they be safe will I see them?"
"Yes, you can see your family. They are safe and won't be harmed, I promise." Johnathan gives Dante a reassuring look.
Dante thinks for a moment about how he can help his family and also benefit from this. "Okay, I'll join you and your cult," Dante says with a sigh.
A low rumbling was heard in the distance, making everyone tense. One of the security guards ran in, "Captain Pier, sir, someone is invading the building."
