The blonde man picks up the pistol from the floor and fires a few more rounds into the body to confirm its death.
"Well now that that's done, let's chat. Do you have a name, Marked One?"
He looks at Dante, expecting a response with his captivating gaze.
"Dante Brimsted. That's my name. What about you?" Dante replies.
Dante clenches his fists, waiting for the blonde man to speak.
"My name is Daniel Spines. Nice to meet you, Dante," Daniel says.
Dante regards Daniel with an intense, guarded expression, keeping his distance.
"What are you doing here, Daniel, and why do you refer to me as 'Marked One'?"
Daniel looks at Dante with a confused expression.
"You mean you don't know? You're marked by the goddess of Darkrain. I had hoped Lidia would turn out differently, but you are the Marked One."
Dante stares at him in shock, struggling to comprehend why a goddess known for cruelty and destruction would choose to mark him.
"Dante, you have to come with me. I've been ordered to retrieve you and bring you back."
Dante takes a defensive stance, backing away from Daniel. Suddenly, Daniel disappears from his view, only to reappear behind him, swiftly knocking Dante out.
"Sorry, Dante, but I need you, and you don't seem interested in coming quietly," Daniel says.
He picks up Dante's unconscious body and carries him outside to a carriage he had left waiting.
Once Daniel places Dante in the carriage, he moves to the front to ready the horses. As he does so, Olivia descends the staircase to find the front door wide open and sees Dante asleep in the speeding carriage.
