Dante hurriedly hides the gun behind him, glancing nervously at his frightened Aunt Maria.
"Auntie, I'm incredibly sorry! I thought you were someone else," he stammers, trying to reassure her as he rushes her into the house, wanting to avoid scaring her further.
"Dante, why do you have my gun? And where's Olivia?" Aunt Maria asks, attempting to calm down and understand the situation.
"Olivia is in her room. Please, go up there with her and stay there," Dante urges, hastily guiding his aunt up the stairs while frequently looking back at the door to ensure no one is following.
Once Dante gets his aunt into the room, he closes the door, leaving her and his sister inside as he heads back downstairs.
(Now that my aunt and sister are safe, I can focus on this unsettling presence I feel; however, it seems Olivia and Aunt Maria cannot sense it.)
Dante stands close to the door, sensing the presence drawing nearer.
Suddenly, a bullet shatters the window, striking Dante in the shoulder and knocking the gun from his hand, blood streaming from the wound onto the walls and floor.
A man walks through the door, wearing a top hat and sporting a scruffy beard, holding a revolver with a hostile demeanor.
"Stay away from me, bastard!" Dante shouts at the man, who continues to approach, ignoring his words.
Dante scrambles to retrieve his gun from the floor, but when he looks up, the man has vanished. Dante spins around, feeling the presence behind him.
He sees the man again, this time with a gun pointed at his head, ready to pull the trigger. Just as the man's finger begins to squeeze the trigger, a playing card sails between them—one with three red diamonds.
The card suddenly lights up, and three giant diamond crystals emerge, trapping the man and stabbing his arm.
"Are you okay, marked one?" a voice calls from the direction of the front door. When Dante turns, he sees the blonde man from the market, holding playing cards.
The man with the gun breaks free, aiming it at the blonde man and firing three shots.
The blonde man swiftly evades the speeding bullets and throws a spade card that transforms into arrows, striking the man in the heart.
"That was rather quick, wouldn't you say, marked one?"
