Chapter 15 - Chapter : 15 Clark Kent

"Superman…" Sho said, eyes widening.

"Yes… there's no doubt about it," he muttered, heart racing. "That brilliant form… the cape… one of the most popular superhero. Kryptonian, aka Superman!"

Sho's eyes sparkled like a kid seeing his favorite thing for the first time. Unable to contain himself, he waved his hand excitedly, trying to get the hero's attention.

"Hey! Over here!"

But Superman didn't respond. Instead, he suddenly shot downward at incredible speed, heading straight for the site of the earlier crash.

"Tch… guess he didn't see me. I'll have to get closer," Sho said, before dashing forward at his own pace.

What he didn't know was that Superman had noticed him… and chose to ignore him or maybe he was Aura Farming and doesn't want distraction.

By the time Sho reached the crash site, the ground was torn apart and the street was cracked open like an earthquake had split it. Superman slid back across the asphalt, his boots grinding sparks as he came to a halt. Opposite him stood another figure, armored and imposing, the air around him heavy with menace.

Sho blinked, trying to remember. "He looks familiar… what was his name again? Rod… Cod… Nod… ahhh—Zod! Yeah, that was it."

Before he could even process, Zod launched forward, closing the distance in an instant. His punch connected with Superman's chest like a cannon blast, sending him crashing through the side of a nearby shop. The entire structure collapsed in a cloud of dust and rubble.

Sho winced, shielding his eyes from flying debris. "Damn… it looks like Superman really needs more fighting experience."

In the street, Zod didn't give Superman a second to breathe. He pressed the attack relentlessly, fists like sledgehammers, driving Superman back with raw military Technique precision. Each strike cracked pavement, shattered windows, and shook the ground.

Superman tried to counter, but his moves were sloppy compared to Zod's trained ruthless efficiency.

Sho cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted at the top of his lungs, like a crazed fan cheering from the stands. "Superman! Use a suplex! When he closes in, sidestep, grab his waist, lift, and crush him into the ground by arching your back!"

Superman gave Sho the quickest of glances before turning back to Zod.

The next moment, Zod charged forward like a raging bull, dust and debris flying in his wake. But this time, Superman was ready. At the last second, he shifted sideways, wrapped his arms around Zod's waist, and with a surge of raw power—

SLAM!

He executed the perfect suplex. Zod's armored body was driven into the street with such force that the Ground shattered, a massive crater exploding outward from the impact. Even the ground beneath Sho's feet trembled violently.

Sho's jaw dropped. "…He actually did it."

But in the midst of the dust, Zod's eyes flickered with a faint red glow. Truth be told, he had also heard the kid shouting earlier—he just chose to ignore it. What he didn't expect was for Kal-El to actually take the kid's advice.

Zod snarled, forcing Superman's grip loose. Without hesitation, he lunged—not at Kal-El, but straight toward Sho.

"Ehhhhh—?!" Sho staggered back, panic shooting through him.

But before Zod could close the distance, a blur of blue and red intercepted him. Superman caught his leg mid-flight, twisting his body in a powerful arc. With a grunt, he hurled Zod upward like a ragdoll.

The General went spinning into the sky, flailing as Superman rocketed after him. From the ground, Sho squinted, following the tiny black dot of Zod tumbling higher and higher before crashing back down towards the surface.

"Seems like he doesn't know how to fly…" Sho muttered.

Superman didn't give Zod a chance to recover. He followed through with another bone-shaking strike, pushing him down even harder, driving him into the earth with enough force to create a massive Crater on the Ground.

If this battle had taken place in the heart of a metropolitan city, the devastation would've been unimaginable—casualties in numbers no one could even begin to process.

Superman knew this. That's why, even while fighting Zod with everything he had, he kept dragging the battle further and further away from civilian areas, trying desperately to minimize the collateral damage.

Meanwhile, Sho was sprinting across the empty badland, panting hard."Damn… how far have they flown away?" he muttered between breaths.

He finally came to a stop, realizing the truth—no matter how fast he ran, he could never hope to catch up. They weren't just blocks away. They were hundreds of kilometers ahead, maybe already fighting in another city.

Something that looked so close in the sky but in reality it soo far.

Sho clenched his teeth, then another idea sparked. Teleportation.

Drawing magical circles , he hopped across land in violent bursts of light. One jump. Then another. Then another. After five jumps he finally arrived.

And what awaited him was a city in ruin.

Skyscrapers were collapsing, cars overturned, flames licking the night sky. Ambulances screamed through the streets, carrying bodies—both dead and barely alive.

CRASH!

Superman smashed through the side of a high-rise Skyscrapers, debris raining down like meteors. From above, Zod descended, now stripped of his black armor—his body adapting, his movements sharper, and this time… he was flying.

Sho's eyes widened. "This guy adapts way too fast…"

Panic spread as people fled in waves, screaming as another skyscraper groaned and began to topple. But as Sho pressed forward, wanting to see the fight up close, his gaze caught something else.

a MAN.

Not running away, but sprinting toward the danger. He lunged without hesitation, grabbing a child and rolling away just as concrete debris fallls down where the child had stood.

Sho froze, heart pounding.

"…Wait a second. That scene. That glare…"

The man rose, dust clouding around him, his warm eyes fixed on the child he saved—but Furiously glaring at the gods battling above.

"That's… Bruce Wayne."

Sho could almost feel the hatred radiating from his gaze.

Everything had unfolded just like the storyline—Kal-El had defeated Zod—but then something unexpected happened.

Sho was sitting back in the shadows, wearing his stealth cloak, munching popcorn as if he were watching an ultra-realistic movie. He had expected the fight, the destruction, the victory—but not this.

Superman killed Zod, and shortly after, Lois Lane appeared, rushing forward with urgent news. "His mother… she's been wounded. Critical condition. She's been admitted to the hospital."

Superman's brow furrowed in confusion. Why was his mother here in the first place? Before he could respond, he flew off, leaving Lois behind.

Sho blinked, lowering his popcorn slightly. "This… wasn't in the story."

Seeing Lois hurrying down the corridor, Sho decided to follow her. Superman had gone too fast for him to track, and there was no telling where he had gone.

Some time later, Sho found himself outside a hospital room, quietly watching as Lois Lane stepped aside. Inside, Clark Kent stood in his normal clothes—shirt, pants, and glasses—looking completely different from the hero who had just battled Zod.

Clark sat there, holding his mother's hand, worry written all over his face. Sho stood quietly outside, peeking through the small glass window in the door. After a moment, he slid his hood back and stepped into the room.

Lois immediately turned, her eyes narrowing in confusion. Who is this kid?

But Clark's reaction was sharper. He froze the second he recognized him—the same kid with glasses he'd spotted back when he was fighting Zod. Panic flickered in his eyes. Why is he here?

"Hey, Superman—we meet again." Sho grinned widely.

Clark's jaw tightened. "..." He panicked for a moment, realizing his identity was exposed.

"Relax," Sho added quickly. "Don't worry, nobody else knows."

Clark rose from his chair, moving protectively in front of his mother. His voice was firm, guarded. "What do you want? Why are you following me?"

Sho raised his hands casually. "Don't worry, I mean no harm. I just want to help." With a flick of his wrist, he pulled a small vial from thin air basically from inventory. "Give this to your mother, and she'll be fine immediately."

Both Lois and Clark stared at him. The fact that Sho had conjured the vial out of nowhere only made him look even more suspicious. Clark's shoulders tensed.

"Don't be so on guard," Sho said, shrugging. "I'm just trying to help."

"Help?" Clark's eyes narrowed. "Don't give me that excuse. Tell me what you really want."

Sho smiled faintly. In truth, Clark wasn't wrong. He did want something—Kal-El's blood. There was option like Zod, but Kal-El was far more perfect.

"Well, I need your blood. In return, I'll give you this healing potion." Sho raised his hand again, showing off small tricks of fire and water magic to make it more Believable that he knows magic and his potion will certainly work.

Both Clark and Lois froze, staring. A magician. It was absurd, but not impossible—not when Clark himself was living proof that the impossible existed.

The heart monitor beside Martha Kent suddenly beeped faster, her condition worsening.

"I'll go get the doctor!" Lois rushed out of the room.

Clark clenched his fists, torn between suspicion and desperation. He turned back to Sho, his voice low and urgent. "Why do you need my blood?"

Sho met his gaze without flinching. "I want to see the difference between normal human blood and yours. I'm curious about how your body works."

A blatant lie—but it was a more reasonable excuse. Sho couldn't exactly tell Clark that he wanted to become a Kryptonian himself. Just a few hours ago, Kryptonians had caused havoc on Earth. If he admitted his true intentions now, it would only make him look even more dangerous. Lying was the safest option, even if it sounded suspicious.

Clark was still hesitant. His eyes kept shifting between Sho and his mother. But seeing her lying there, fragile and fading, he was willing to try anything—every last bit of hope mattered.

"Will it really work?" Clark finally asked.

Sho nodded firmly.

He stepped closer to Martha Kent, tilting the vial carefully, and poured the glowing liquid down her throat. For a tense moment, nothing happened. Then—her eyelids trembled, and she stirred awake.

"Clark…" she whispered weakly.

"MOM!" Clark exclaimed, his face breaking into relief as he hugged her tightly.

At that exact moment, the door opened. Lois Lane rushed in. "The doctor's coming—" Her words stopped mid-sentence as she froze, staring wide-eyed at Martha, who was already awake.

A moment later the doctor arrived, just as shocked as Lois. He hurried to check her vitals, muttering in disbelief. If he were to look beneath the bandages and see that her wounds had healed completely, he would have been even more stunned.

After a while, Sho sat with them, chatting almost like some distant relative who had suddenly dropped by to visit.

"By the way, Sho… can you give us more of that healing potion?" Lois asked. Her tone was gentle, but her eyes carried weight. "There are a lot of people in this hospital with serious conditions."

Clark's gaze sharpened at her words. He, too, perked up. Deep down, he felt responsible for the destruction, for the pain people were enduring.

Sho nodded slightly. "I don't have many potions left to just give away."

"But you're a magician, aren't you?" Lois pressed, leaning forward a little. "Don't you have something like… healing magic?"

That question caught Sho off guard. He froze for a moment, thinking. Of course, he knew basic healing magic—it was enough to close small cuts, patch minor wounds—but to treat people in critical condition? That was an entirely different story. He wasn't confident.

"You can, can't you?" Lois asked again, her eyes narrowing as she studied his silence.

Sho sighed. "Well, I can… but it isn't strong. I can only heal minor injuries, not serious ones."

Lois didn't back down. "But even if it can't cure them completely, it can stabilize their condition. The doctors can handle the rest."

Sho blinked, uncertain. Will it really work? The doubt gnawed at him.

But Clark didn't waste a second. He immediately stood up, determination flashing in his eyes. "Let's go."

Before Sho could argue, he was already being dragged down the corridor.

For nearly one hour, Sho healed patients all around. It was only basic magic—it healed wounds and increased vitality—but it worked. He couldn't treat one person at a time since it will take too much time,so he simply conjured a massive circle over the hospital itself to cure everyone at once. Maybe a few people noticed the glow, but since it was above the hospital and partly hidden by the walls, most never realized what was happening.

The reason it took one hour was because Clark had flown him all around the world, using him like some kind of Pokémon.

Clark be like : I choose Sho, Heal them all.

He would hold Sho by the shoulder, stop above a hospital, and Sho would use his healing magic. Then they would fly to the next, and the next, repeating it again and again.

After completing their task, Sho and Clark sat atop a skyscraper, the night wind brushing past them.

"Thank you so much," Clark said, his voice carrying the weight of relief. The burden on his shoulders felt lighter.

"No problem," Sho replied calmly. He didn't mind—it was just good deeds, nothing that cost him much.

"Well then, Superman… it's time for me to go back."

Clark turned, surprised. "Oh? Where's your house? I'll drop you off."

"My house isn't in this world. It's… somewhere far away."

Clark's eyes widened. Far away… another world? In that moment, he realized Sho wasn't from this planet, just like himself.

"Will we meet again?" Clark asked quietly.

"Of course. Then—I'm off." Sho stood, ready to leave.

"Wait!" Clark called out. "Didn't you say you needed my blood?"

"Oh, right—I almost forgot," Sho admitted.

Clark With a questioning look. "But I don't think an ordinary needle will pierce my skin. How are you going to take it?"

Sho had the same thought, but he trusted the special X-Syringe. Pulling it out, he pressed it against Clark's arm—and to his relief, the needle slid in with ease.

"Wait… does your body not have blood?" Sho asked in confusion, seeing nothing.

"I think you need to put the needle into the vein to draw it."

"Oh." Sho adjusted, and this time, the syringe filled with blood.

"Well then… it's time to bid farewell," Sho said.

The two stood facing each other on the edge of the skyscraper, silent for a moment. The wind howled between them, carrying with it both farewell and promise to meet again.

Nothing Gayish but Bromance

Then—it was time to part.
