Chapter 33 - Chapter 33

A few minutes after Selenia left, Mart looked at the wounds on his palm again and remembered in his own way Director Persec's words, "She is a treasure; second chance. Second chance; she's a treasure"; he turned over the most shocking part of the director's words, after all director Persec was considered one of the most powerful demons in the demonic world even though he had not yet reached the eighth rank.

"Right, where was Principal Persec when the Academy fell? I didn't hear anything about him in the end. Was he killed long before?", the more he thought about it, the more frustrated Marc became for not having read more chapters of the novel.

Still, he looked at his palm again and since he couldn't use demonic energy to avoid increasing fatigue, he decided he would carry a book so he wouldn't waste useful time.

Mart got up, saw the two books on his desk, one was on spells and the other was on curses; in the end Mart he chose the spell book because even though demons were demons, they were also uncomfortable with curses.

Mart left his room, with one of the luminous stones that responded to the faint trace of his energy, in order to illuminate the corridor that was dark, with the light of the luminous stone at least he could continue his reading, on the way one or another student met him and got scared.

Mart walked until he reached the infirmary, he entered and there was no teacher in charge, only a beautiful student with long white hair whose tips had a light blue color, her eyes were gray and full of life, her face could be said to be perfect, and her slender figure gave an elegant air to the beautiful young woman whose skin was white as snow.

As Mart had been reviewing the memories of the real Mart, he immediately knew that he was looking at Sara Veniac, the second beauty of the sophomore S class.

Given the reputation of the real Mart, he preferred not to look at her too much, however, as he looked around the infirmary he thought, "This beautiful young lady doesn't have demon physical features either," that idea haunted his mind, he closed the book, stored it in his demon pouch which he now didn't let far from him.

-Hello, I hope I'm not disturbing you. -Mart greeted politely.

After greeting, Mart continued to look around the infirmary until he saw two wall units with transparent doors, one of them had what he was looking for; Mart approached the unit which was near a small long-legged table on which was a list with rules. Mart had to write down which product he was taking out of the cabinet and leave his signature. Not hesitating, he did so and pulled out the bandage he was looking for.

Mart walked to a stretcher, sat down and was about to put on the bandage, at that moment Sara approached him and with a charming voice asked him:

-Do you want help?

-In my current situation I won't refuse. -Mart replied with a grateful tone.

Sara took Mart's hand and saw the wounds, she immediately perceived traces of offensive magic, but as it was not her business she only bandaged Mart's hand very carefully and professionally, when she finished. She created a thin blade of ice and cut the bandage, at that moment demonic symbols appeared on Mart's bandage.

-Level 1 demonic runes, regenerative type. -Mart muttered, as he happened to have read a little about it.

Mart stood up, bowed his thanks and said using his dazzling and captivatingly kind attitude:

-I owe you a favor, look me up and I'll pay you back, thank you!

After those words Mart left the infirmary and Sara took a seat on the edge of the gurney while muttering:

-It's strange, he was a lout until he started dating Selenia, and then....

----

The next day, Mart entered the classroom, and sat down in his place, Selis who was in front of him asked him with a worried tone:

-What happened to you?

-Let's say it was an accident. - Mart expressed in a relaxed manner.

Selis took out a golden colored potion from his demonic pendant, some students turned to look at him for a few seconds, but as they remembered what Mart did to the student who insulted Iristel, they preferred to go back to their business.

Mart who noticed that it looked like a valuable potion asked:

-What is it?

-A regenerative and restorative potion of spiritual magic, although it is only level two, don't worry, you are my boyfriend, besides, you gave me the evil mandrake, I made this and it is worth much less.

Mart took the potion, and at the same time kissed the back of Selis' hand and said warmly:

-Never say that something you did is of little value.

Selis nodded, and as it was still several minutes before the start of class, Mart took the potion and meditated instead, to make the potion take effect effectively. When a few minutes had passed, Mart thought:

"If Selis was given the evil mandrake, why hasn't the duchess sent me my coins?"

By the time the professor arrived; Mart felt a third of his fatigue was gone.

"Wow, Selis seems to have a great future as an alchemist."

Still, Mart felt that a third person had helped, he looked at Asfil and she seemed to be concentrating reading a book as she was used to whenever she was in the classroom.

-Yes, Asfil helped me, I told her that I wanted to prepare this potion after seeing what happened to you on Marrac mountain, I hope to keep improving to be of more use to you. -Expressed Selis who seemed to be happy.

At that moment Professor Descar Ametz entered, a wiry man who looked about 70 years old, wearing a gray wizard robe and a black scarf around his neck, for some reason he was nicknamed "The Black Turtle", although Mart knew it was a nickname of respect, not a mockery, but he did not understand it, but for the moment he preferred to save his mysterious questions for more important things.

Professor Descar was teaching the fauna and flora class of the Argaris Republic, something Mart found quite similar to Biology classes in his previous life.
