Chapter 13 - [13] Scamming The Scammer!

Theon's eyes widened in surprise and his breathing became even shorter.

"Venom?"

He couldn't even believe such Nuclear technique existed. Instantly, he changed his mind and dropped the Dark Hellflame technique.

There was only a few seconds left till the time his up. Theon used that to scan through the shelf and sighed softly.

If there was enough time, he really wished to read through all of the techniques but sadly, there wasn't enough time.

Storing the book securely in his pocket, Theon headed towards the opposite side of the hall way. It was where Combat Tactics were located.

Just as he was a few inches away from the door, its metallic frame shook as it swung open. The same whiteness in the Nuclear Techniques hall was revealed within the Combat tactic Hall. But a shadow appeared and a figure walked out of the door.

The figure seem to have sensed Theon as they turned their head towards him, its blue eyes staring deep into Theon's soul, keeping him rooted to the ground as the primal energy in the surrounding hummed.

Theon frowned scantily and blinked his eyes, gazing at the badge at the chest of the student. There were two glowing stars on the figure's badge.

The figure was a young man that appeared to be 17 years old. His blue pupils also moved, glancing at the badge on Theon's chest, he was immediately taken aback as he spotted a single glowing flame wretched in the badge.

'What's a new student doing here?' He couldn't help but query himself in confusion.

"How did you manage to enter this floor?" The young man demanded with a frigid attitude.

Theon's brows wrinkled. What was with the harsh voice and wasn't it obvious that he could access this floor because he had the qualifications to do so? Even still, Theon chose to reply as he didn't want to make an enemy within the academy so fast.

"I was given the authority to access this floor. If you will excuse me." Exempting himself from the conversation, Theon endeavored to walk past the man when he immediately stopped his steps. Before him was a hand, blocking his way from moving to the Hall of combat.

A sharp expression instantly appeared in Theon's face. "What do you think you are doing?"

The young man's cold expression immediately melted like snow and as though the previous interaction had been nothing more then a a dream, a smile bloomed over his face. "Apologies for my behaviour. It's rare to see new students access the third floor. I was being careful you know."

Theon relaxed a bit upon hearing this, but he gave off a nonchalant shrug as he replied. "It's alright, I understand."

The young man's chuckled brightly seeing Theon's noncommittal reply. "I am Strange."

Theon thought for a while before nodding seriously, saying. "Yes, you really are."

The young man's smile froze and a cold light flashed in his eyes before he covered it up with another brilliant smile. "You shouldn't say such things junior. Seeing as you have the permission to access this floor, it means you didn't really well in the entrance exam right?"

"You are really fortunate. While others had to work their assess off, kill and plunder even closest of friend for a Tier 2 Technique, you get it for free." His face was instantly clouded in sadness and grieve as though remembering the things he had done and the time he has accumulated enough Primal points just to access this floor.

Theon's countenance remained indifferent as he blinked at the the young man's expression. "What does that have to do with me?"

The second year student sighed heavily and shook his head pitifully. "Sigh. I am hoping we could come to some sort of agreement. You see, I have only gathered enough Blood Point to exchange for a Tier 2 combat technique, I will still have to work for another year to gather that same points."

"Like I said, what does that have to do with me?" Theon was beginning to feel annoyed..

Strange was starting to lose his cool as this junior was making things difficult but still, he maintained his facade as he responded. "You just excited the hall of techniques which means you currently have a tier 2 technique with you. To be truthful to you, I come from a very wealthy and influencial family that once had a Fiendgod Warrior in its lineage, money isn't a problem for me at all! It's not how much I can give, but how much you dare to receive, name your price!"

Strange face was solemn as he assured with his hand on his chest. His eyes eagerly gazing at Theon and a smirked form in his lips when he saw Theon's face shine at the mention of money. 'Hehe, the bait had been cast and the fish is hooked.'

"One million."

Strange's face twitched slightly and his heart immediately stung but at the thought that he was going to get his money back when he robs the guy, he let out a smile which seemed quite ugly.

Tapping his smart-watch, he spoke. "That price is a little too much, but like I said, money isn't a problem for me. Call your details I will transfer it to you now."

Theon's eyes glowed brightly! "Really?"

Seeing Theon's excited face, Strange's heart lurched and his eyes almost turned cold with his muscles trembling. But he managed to hold himself back as he muttered to himself. 'Let him be happy for now.'

"You shouldn't doubt your seniors and always trust them in matters like this."

Theon happily called his details and to his surprise he received a chime sound and as he gazed at the message, the excited expression in his face melted like snow in an oven as he indifferently gazed at Strange.

"Is something the matter junior?" Could this naive boy really know about his scheme?

"If there is nothing else, I will head inside now." Switching off his smart, Theon turned to head inside the combat hall.

"Where do you think you are going!?" A loud roar of pure rage reverberated through the entire hall, stirring up a massive gust of wind as yellow lightning seem to crackle in the surrounding

Strange' face was twisted beyond compare. Veins bulging out of his face as his muscles shook in pure rage.

Theon calmly gazed back at the second year student without the intention of moving a meter backwards from the surrounding force.

"I'm heading inside to select a combat tactic. Senior please, move out of the way."

"A junior actually daring to rip me off of my money? This must be a joke of the century. Don't you think you are asking to be killed?" Strange's burst out into a angry laughter, his faze filled with murderous intent as his light crimson eyes glowed even redder. Added with his twisted appearance, he looked like a demon ready to devour Theon whole.

"Those who live by the sword, also die by the sword. Since you dared to swindle someone, be prepared to be scammed as well. Anyways, there's is still a month left for the newbie protection therefore, I'm afraid you can't do anything." Lips forming into a smirk, Theon brushed past the livid Strange, their shoulders slamming against each other as he proceeded into the Combat hall.

Strange stood still at the passage of the third floor. Stunned speechless by the situation that had occurred just now. It was as of he couldn't believe what had just happened right there.

His body shook from anger and just as he was about to make a move, a chiming sound echoed within the hall, originating from his watch.

He was suddenly reminded of where he was and the rules governing this place. The fear of him being punished immediately subdued his anger, but he was still infuriated at the humiliation he had just received. If word gets out to that a second-year student had been conned by a newbie, he would be too ashamed to go out for the time being.

"Killing you is the easy part, choosing the ways to kill you, that's the hard part."

Strange cold voice reverbrated through the entire hall, chilling the atmosphere with its murderous tone. It was obvious from his words that he had killed people before.

Theon paused a foot away from the door and his eyes flashed, his face wearing a serious expression as he replied. "I will be counting on it."

With that, he opened the door to the Combat hall and entered. As he entered, he struggled to calm his nerves. Facing Strange gave him the impression that he was a prey toying with a predator.
