Chapter 6 - α Crucis Aa

The sun was at its highest point, the birds flew into the sky with energy, the leaves on the trees became a walkway, and the young girl was attacked by an enormous hunger.

— Damn it, Mamoru! Where have you gotten yourself into, you bastard! Do you know how hard I tried to bring you here! — The young woman was lost in fury — I'm going after that idiot!

As cunning as she is, the young woman set out to do several things before leaving home. She did a quick search of the house to see if she hadn't been followed by the Apollo crew, while cleaning up the mess Mamoru left when he went to get the bread, the way in her head, the making. She took a shower, still washing away the cold feeling that touched her, as well as the touches she received from Mamoru's sister. She forgot about it using the warm water, which ran down her body, reminding her of her defeat before the bearer of the memory of the queen of the underworld, who, to the young woman, was an unpleasant person who subjected her and Mamoru to terrible experiments, even making them fight to the death with other bearers. Amid the shower's dripping water, she cried as the water hit her face, reminding her of the reason she once blamed herself and wanted to catch all the giants. When the pressure valve closed, her tears were replaced by laughter! Remembering who her partner is throughout this crusade.

"Shizuko! I'm here. I brought a guest! Got any more clothes? The giant's gotten a little too close to nature and is now completely naked." In one hand he held the bag of bread and in the other the rope that pulled the giant along.

"True, my young man. Now I look like a newborn baby just born into the world. It's true, the Hypocrite reborn me from the ashes, just like Mithras."

— Shut up!— Tiresias shared his consciousness with Mamoru, the force being used to drag the giant.

The young woman listened to Mamoru's requests, then continued searching for the items, while remembering something extremely important for the future, her encounter with the giant that allowed the beginning of her pursuit of freedom, and the imprisonment of her peace.

— Catch him! Make him get dressed quickly! He's an important key for us to meet him... — She slid her hand through Mamoru's, thus catching the snake, which quickly bit her and returned to Mamoru's body.

"Who is he? What is Tiresias? What do you want to do? Most importantly, what does Apollo intend to do with us and the giants?"

— We've already wasted a lot of time. Giant, Tiresias gave me information about your battle. Since Giant is powerful, then, as a good loser, could you do me a favor?

— Of course, miss, with pleasure. What is it?

"You could contact Gaia to find one of her children, the one who nearly defeated Typhon. He's our ally, so I don't think he'll go against my request. I know you won't be able to become a Pallas Athena anymore because your Echidna was destroyed. I think we should go to a better location for that."

The giant remained strangely calm after hearing from the legendary Giant that he had successfully challenged his older and more powerful brother. He kept the smile on his face; perhaps his easy persuasion stemmed from his memories, hidden as fossils buried deep in the darkest corner of the earth, perhaps in its womb. Only Gaia could know what makes her children joyful as children when they recall their mysterious brother, who now possesses the body of a fragile human, sharing his future with her.

The view of the house became obtuse, increasingly distant, the group's walk was still a little confused, but when they saw a vacant lot, a neighborhood dump, they closed their noses and took a courageous step.

— What a smell! My God, did they throw in dead animals?

"It's not that. It's my body!" After a giant loses its Echidna, the lifeless body begins to return to its normal state. The body of the man I took died a few days ago, so it's not deteriorating any faster.

"Okay! We'll bury him right here, it must have happened already, no one cares about one more body. Now make your contact with Gaia. I need to find out where your brother is."

The giant threw himself to the ground, looked for a place where the earth could be seen and touched, began to dance, dirtying his body, and just like his brother, ingested a huge amount of earth.

"Why do we only meet crazy people? This isn't the same guy who almost killed me, right? He looks like a kid playing on the playground, careful not to eat dog shit."

"You can't respect others, can you? I don't know... This could be an ancient ritual of connecting with the earth. Mamoru, don't you have a mother? It must be a mother-son thing, something special."

The giant entered a trance, his hands were one with the earth, his feet were pulled to the ground, his eyes turned green, the glow on his body was blinding, the egg that was in the place of the heart, began to beat rapidly, nourishing the veins with a unique energy.

"Why would a daughter of mine use a brother to achieve her goals?" Dear human daughter, Shizuko, lady with Demeter's soybean hair, ocean eyes, and Eros's heart. What do you want with the mother of all?

"I appreciate your praise and your presence. More to the point, Apollo was going to initiate some plan to do with Orpheus's rebirth, but thanks to one of his sons, we were able to delay it. However, Dangerous Giants have escaped. Because of this, I need to find your son, the one who killed all the gods and only let Apollo escape from his grasp."

The entire environment changed, it was as if the earth had all gone to the point, leaving the rest of the planet, the rest of existence in the background.

— Tell me more. I haven't heard from him in a while.
