Chapter 9 - ε Canis Majoris A

Unfortunately it's over... The first arc! I hope you enjoyed it!

— Sansonskun, what do you mean by first bow? Explain it to me.— while looking at the screen confused.

So, I'll explain it to you, my dear viewer. It's going to be a lot, but it will be fun, I promise, not so much.

WARNING: IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW MY THOUGHTS AND EXPLANATIONS, SKIP STRAIGHT TO THE END, WHERE THERE ARE IMAGES. THANK YOU FOR FOLLOWING ME SO FAR.

The work so far has been divided into small mini-arcs of 2-3 chapters, want me to prove it to you? Then let's go!

First, the escape of the protagonists from the Apollo Foundation. Here I demonstrate the three, actually four, characters, two being the focus of the work and two not. We have:

Shizuko: the female protagonist, who has the power to transform into a Kamen rider... I mean, dress up as a god.

Here's a quick bit of trivia: I designed this to be a Kamen Rider W fanfic. To simplify things, I'll include a video below. The work even has tags related to this: the presence of the Apollo Foundation, the museum, and the protagonists becoming one. Of course, there's the Memory and Destiny aspect, something closely linked to Kamen Rider.

Mamoru: the male protagonist of the work. A somewhat lost boy, he got into this because of his dying sister, but with the help of Tiresias, he saved her. As I describe, he created a rope, an anchor.

The protagonist is a bit lost in everything, not for nothing; he's the guy who symbolizes the reader's doubts. But don't be fooled; he's strong, you saw that.

Protagonist's Sister: A being who inhabits a space in Mamoru's memory. Her name hasn't been revealed yet because I'm too lazy to create one for her. She and her beloved, Shizuko, become one being, with the protagonist's sister being the driver, a Kamen Rider thing, I'll explain later.

Elizabeth Shire: Yes, her name wasn't revealed in the initial mini-arc, but it was in the closing chapter. She's very important. She possesses the Queen memory, which gives her the ability to control shadows and giants. Her wielder, Husband, hasn't been revealed in the book yet, but I've already revealed that he's Daisy's father.

In this arc I still wasn't sure where the story was going, so it was confusing, focusing on the protagonist's distant mind, but the ending was cool, BIG KISS.

We now have the beginning of the 2nd which is strangely short, not short, but divided and only finished in the last chapter of the arc, so let's skip it.

Let's move on to the third one. This one focuses on showing what happened to the protagonists after they freed the giants. I won't lie, this one was created just to have a little fight and a little more development of Tiresias himself and his relationship with the protagonist.

It actually begins when the protagonist goes to buy Shizuko bread, and is attacked halfway by a human, who turns out to be a giant possessing the body of a dead man. I really liked it and how I designed the combat; I used a lot of elements, interactions between the two characters.

I also showed a bit of Shizuko's personality, a bit of a generic Yandere? Maybe, but I swear I, Sansons, am trying. Amazingly, I managed to keep a bath scene from becoming ecchi; that makes me proud. I used this short window of time to demonstrate the protagonist's feelings about everything that was happening and will happen since her clash with Elizabeth, both her relationship with the protagonist's sister and with Mamoru himself.

I'll move on to the second/last chapter. I won't lie, this was the most fun to write for several reasons. From the joke that every giant loves to eat dirt, just like a child, to the Chico Xavier/holy father moment in the last chapter. Let's get straight to the summary and explanations!

This mini-arc reveals the whereabouts of the mysterious Giant who helped our protagonists escape. In exchange, Shizuko diverted Elizabeth's attention, the only one who could control the Giants to some extent. He entered the body of an 8-year-old girl, Margarida Von Bingen, daughter of Amélia, who shares the same surname. Margarida, a child with a special condition, was a perfect fit for the Giant.

Because her body was slightly different, when the giant took it, an Echidna wasn't born. I have to explain this Echidna thing, I'll explain later. Thus begins a relationship I really like: Mother and daughter/Son. Sometimes Daisy's consciousness returns, making a scary or sarcastic sentence from the giant come out funny at the end, and in contrast, as in the last chapter, demonstrating the drama that surrounds this relationship.

Let's move on to the very end of the arc, which is actually the penultimate chapter. In this one, I wanted to quickly explain everything surrounding the work, Apollo's foundation, mythology, and culture. It's a bit bizarre that the last chapter of the arc is actually the penultimate one, and the one before it is the final chapter, which concludes the arc.

I'm glad you followed the work throughout its first Arc! Because of that, a gift with everything that will happen from now on, but it won't be handed to you on a silver platter. Good luck figuring it out.
